Swordsman Patch Notes

  • Dragoon - Dragontooth’s direction can be changed while charging.
    Fixed Dragoon’s ‘Equip Two-handed spear’ attribute not showing up below ‘Equip 1-handed spear’ attribute.
    Changed Dragoon charged skills to be cancelable while using them

  • Peltasta’s ‘Langort’ is now ‘Pierce’ damage.

  • Hoplite - You’re able to use Finestra with 2H Spears.

  • Changed to not allow releasing of companion while using Impaler (Cataphract skill).

  • **Swordsman’**s Thrust skill’s range increased slightly.

  • Updated Templar and Dragoon skills descriptions (check main post).

  • Templar - The ‘Increase Max Members’ perk goes up to Level 10 max, meaning only +10 members. This means there will be a max of 35 slots. (30 if IMC are going to reduce the base member limit to 20, as it’s currently 25 on kTest.)

  • Dragoon - The aura from Gae Bulg doesn’t disappear as soon as you pick up the weapon. The field stays on for about 20-30 seconds (haven’t timed it). As for Dethrone, not in C1, so you probably won’t get info for sometime. // source: General kTest Thread

  • Requires a Shield to be used.

  • Attribute Damage: x%
  • Costs 19 SP (+3 SP per level)

Mitigate Penalty
[Buff Skill]; Reduces the penalties of being incapacitated in combat.

  • 2 Minute Cooldown, no overheat.
  • Equipment durability penalty reduction: ?%
  • Silver penalty decrease: ?%
  • Gem loss penalty reduction: ?%
  • Costs 40 SP (+5 SP per level)
  • Can be used whilst mounted.
  • Tooltip: When incapacitated in battle whilst this buff is active, death penalties are mitigated.

Zornhau
[Physical] - [Slash]; Channel power into your sword to cut the enemy for significant damage.

  • Requires a Two-Handed Sword to use.
  • 15 Second Cooldown, no overheat.
  • 1291 damage (+312.3 damage per level)
  • Attribute Damage: x%
  • Costs 42 SP (+6 SP per level)

Redel
[Physical] - [Slash]; Swing your arms to deal continuous damage to enemies on the battlefield.

  • Requires a Two-Handed Sword to use.
  • 25 Second Cooldown, no overheat.
  • 394.2 damage (+84.5 damage per level), deals multiple hits.
  • Attribute Damage: x%
  • Costs 45 SP (+8 SP per level)

Zucken
[Physical] - [Slash]; A frontal attack, continuously attacking the enemy’s sides to deal damage. (?)

  • Requires a Two-Handed Sword to use.
  • 20 Second Cooldown, no overheat.
  • 495.2 damage (+100.3 damage per level), deals multiple hits.
  • Attribute Damage: x%
  • Costs 43 SP (+7 SP per level.)

  • Corsair C3 skill description

Pistol Shot
[Missile]; Inflict damage to enemies in front of you by shooting continuously with your Pistol.

  • Requires a Pistol to be used. (Corsair C3 adds a ‘Use Pistol’ attribute.)
  • 33 Second Cooldown, no overheat.
  • 267.32 damage (+71 damage per level), deals multiple hits.
  • Attribute Damage: x%
  • Costs 34 SP (+5 SP per level)

Squire C3’s skill ‘Mitigate Penalty’ is a buff which reduces the penalties of combat. It lowers the chance of losing durability, and lowers the penalty of lost silver and gems upon death according to the skill’s tooltip. (Numbers and further details shown in the tooltip below.)

  • Corsair’s Hexen Dropper and Dust Devil can be used even when pistol are equipped.

  • Highlander - Cartar Stroke: when using the collision damage attribute, the phenomenon where applied damage was lower has been fixed.

  • Cataphract’s cooldowns adjusted:
    Steed Charge now has 13 seconds cooldown, down from 15 seconds
    Doom Spike now has 25 seconds cooldown, down from 40 seconds
    Earth Wave now has 17 seconds cooldown, down from 30 seconds
    Rush now has 50 seconds cooldown, down from 90 seconds
    When using Rush, the phenomenon where the character did not move has been fixed.

  • Templar - Guild events have been added. The guild leader can start them through the guild tower.

  • When using Squire’s Repair Stall, Weapon Sharpening, Armor Maintenance and Order Sales(?), only half of the usage fees will go to the person who opened the service.

  • Swordsman C3 attribute for Bash - the damage of the skill [Bash] increases by 28 per attribute level.

  • Highlander’s Sky Liner cooldown removed (changed to 0s).

  • Cataphract’s Doom Spike, Earth Wave, Steed Charge’s charging speeds have all been decreased and they are all able to be charged while moving.

  • Doppelsöldnerr 2H sword attribute added.

  • Corsair’s Jolly Roger Tooltip modified.
    New Corsair skill, Pistol Shot has been added including appropriate attributes and pistol attributes (C2 Corsair).

  • Interesting note; Can be used whilst Mounted.

Note: Evocation doesn’t seem to be a second demon summon, but more like an attack skill which uses your second demon’s card to attack. But it’s unclear until I see it in game.

Desmodus:
[Magic]; Summon a vampire bat to strike the enemy, inflicting damage.

  • 25 Second Cooldown, no overheat.
  • 893.2 damage (+279.9 damage per level)
  • Attribute Damage: x%
  • Cost 59 SP (+7.5 SP per level)

  • Cryomancer’s Subzero Shield has been changed to a self buff (no longer a party buff) and the freeze chance has been halved.

  • Attack Ground, Ride, Hold and Morph changed to Sorcerer C2

  • Backmasking changed to Chronomancer C3

  • Raise Dead, Corpse Tower and Disinter changed to Necromancer C2

  • Gem Roasting and Magnum Opus changed to Alchemist C2

  • Wizard - The phenomenon where there was no change to the following attributes when the attribute levels were increased has been fixed.
    Lethargy: additional damage, Energy Bolt: sleep additional damage.

  • Chronomancer’s Pass skill’s cooldown reduction rate has increased and it’s effects cannot be self-applied.

  • Cryomancer’s Sub-Zero shield has been changed to a continuous team buff, following this, overheat and cool down times have been adjusted.

Subzero Shield - Lasts for 18 seconds (+3 secs per level), shields 50% of incoming damage, and reflects damage taken. Freeze lasts for 3~4 seconds at all levels. It has a 30% chance to Freeze when reflecting damage. (+10% Freeze chance per level). It has a max level of 5, even past C2.

Subzero Shield can reflect BOTH Magic and Physical type damage. Projectiles (missiles) is unclear. The reflect damage can also proc Subzero Shield and cause an chain of freezes, as you see above.

The fact it cuts damage by 50% (seemingly) is very strong though, the freeze is nice as well. Sometimes, the damage shows up as full (80 damage hits in the window) but is also halved. (40 damage hits in the window.

  • Archer - Fixed the issue with Kneeling Shot not applying increased range.

  • Wugushi’s Bewitch and Falconer’s Install Perch now have a max level of 1.

  • Fixed Detoxify (Wugushi’s attribute) not curing poison.

  • Quarrel Shooter - Deploy Pavise and Scatter Caltrops can be used with Muskets.
    Fixed situation where Rapid Fire was activated at max level regardless of charging time.

  • Shoot Down (Cannoneer skill): Crash attribute’s debuff duration has been reduced.
    Fixed Max weight increase attribute not showing on the cannoneer skill window.

It’s listed as a Physical attack, so that’s not an error, but damn that’s a strong skill.

Dekatos
[Physical] - [Strike]; Attack the enemy by dedicating money to God. Enemies can be killed instantly with a small chance (10%) except for bosses, and the money devoted has a chance (10%) to be picked up from the ground.

  • 15 Seconds Cooldown, no overheat.
  • 1500 damage (+100 per level)
  • Attribute Damage: x%
  • Costs 35 SP (+5 SP per level)
  • Costs ??? Silver. (Might be 1,500 Silver, but unclear.)

Kabbalist’s new skill Notarikon is another ‘Gematria’-type skill.

It brings up the target’s name (file name for monsters, character name for players), and assigns a value to each letter. It then only uses the first and last letter and then adds those together to assign a Gematria value.

The difference between Gematria and Notarikon is that Gematria adds every number, and Notarikon only adds the first and last number.

Levels increase total number of targets affected by the skill by 1. (1 target at Level 1.)

I played INT cleric, and I have to admit we were pretty OP. Not surprised by the nerfs.

would anyone happen to have any info on Fencer’s c2 skills?
im really curious of what Attaque Composee actually is, as well as any new attributes or c2 skills for fencer.

Cataphract skills are now able to be used while moving and Dragoon is now viable as a mounted class.

Wonder if Dragoon skills are able to be used while moving.

Quite a lot of changes,hopefully they carefully consider the feedback they get from it.Everyone else has basically said what needs to be said.

You might have to wait a bit, the class is still ‘hidden’ as of now, no-one to my knowledge has obtained it.

It sucks because I wanna know how to get it,but I don’t want others to know of course.They did say only a certain number of people could take hidden classes a while back,did they not?

I think they did, and i remember hearing people talk about this subject too. the only thing i could find lying around though was the translation according to reddit. it links to the korean topic, however upon visiting the URL i’m told that the topic doesn’t exist anymore.

if you CTRL+F “hidden” you should find a translated response, provided it’s actually taken from the kr site
