It feels like those posts are outdated or people simply don’t understand how it works.
STR and DEX are 2 alternatives for physical classes.
STR is flat modifier while DEX is % modifier, it’s true. But STR also scales with rank. And crit chance formula is 0.42*(critrate-critdef)/lvl. So if you invest the same % of points in DEX you will get almost the same crit chance.
DED is also counterd with enemy arnor, since if the enemy has more armor then your patk your crits will deal 1 damage.
Finally, if you calculate damage for most skills you will see that STR build deals more damage in 90% cases.
Full DEX is only more effective with skills that deal more then 3k base damage. Up to level 280 STR heavy builds will ALWAYS deal more danage.
It may change in future but having at least 80 points invested in STR is always better then going full DEX because it will help to break through enemy armor and also add some crit attack. Only benefit of DEX builds is EVA. But EVA is only useful against pattacks and won’t help against magic.
So it’s true that in 1vs1 duels DEX might be a better stat, but it won’t help you against armored enemies unless you have some ways to reduce armor.
Right now STR is generally a better stat, DEX is only better for tanks who value survivalbility more then damage.
Firstly I wasn’t bothered to read the contests of topics you given but now I looked through them out of curiosity and all of them are truly outdated (Aug to Nov).
