[Mega Polls!] Regarding some of the big hot button issues to be used as feedback for imc

What’s game breaking is Bloodletting and Stone Skin in PvP and GvG.

The main issue with Plague Doctor is that it is designed to spread and remove status effects. It essentially counters itself which is not how class balancing should work in an mmorpg which relies on the whole team.

Yes it’s interesting I admit that. But seeing it in the game first hand, it’s a much larger issue than DEX being too good.

The truth is very different, every player from ktos who have played melee and archer characters prefer STR for PvE and DEX for PvP. They essentially balance themselves out. From feedback I’ve received from DEX players, and having played to late mid-game myself (level 176 Rank 6). It’s obvious that DEX scales poorly the higher level you are as monsters and elites have higher and higher crit resistance. At level 280, this is even more problematic.

Archer, and Hoplite are the only classes that work well with DEX-based builds. Hoplite is even questionable because Finestra only gives a flat value and doesn’t scale with DEX at all. Rogue skills however give a fixed +% crit chance based on specific skills. They don’t scale directly with DEX either.

Summary:
STR scales better with more ranks. Dex scales poorly at high level. Cannoneer skills and Musketeer skill Snipe are the only high-base damage skills that really fit pure-dex. The issue here is that These skills also have %scaling with physical attacks giving you a larger bonus damage from having high STR.

In my opinion DEX should have much better scaling with melee classes like Monk, Paladin and ALL of the Swordsman tree. So I disagree that DEX is too good.

Additionally on my above point, stone-skin should not be able to completely nullify physical attacks from all melee and archer classes. The skill needs to be changed to have a certain number of charges or reduced scaling with SPR.

@ShyBoo I’m saying that having head gear enchant scrolls makes the game worse overall. I believe that the strength of any player should be based on how much knowledge and understanding they have about the games mechanics and systems. As well as how much time and energy they have spent playing to achieve a specific goal in the game, thus their characters grow with the person.

The in-game mechanics should have much more weight than paid stat boosters, that offer no specific gain for the players other than to have an advantage. This advantage is very significant too. It’s not 1 row of possible stats, it’s 3. This essentially makes stat boosters better and overall less optional for the competetive players.

It shows that IMC can not rely on the game’s quality and game design, that they have to rely on such methods to make things interesting. But in fact the Skill Awakening, despite the effects being WORSE than magic enchant scrolls. Is by far a more interesting and engaging system.

  1. You have to have a party to work together
  2. There’s a significant cost, -1 potential for attempting to awaken an item
  3. You have to complete an objective that offers some challenge equal to the reward. Defeating all the monsters in the item world.
  4. If you fail your item still loses potential.

This encourages what is so important in an mmorpg. A rich and social community working together.

Cash shop items that offer stat boosters do not enhance your experience, instead they lock you into having no choice but to either:

  1. Save up ridiculous amounts of silver to purchase the best headgears to gain said advantages.
  2. Or pay real money to have a chance that you MIGHT get a good set of stats.

  • For a game that you already spent money on token, or invested the hours to buy with silver.

  • For a game you already supported by buying the founders pack so that they could make a good game that’s meant to be an mmorpg, not a solo game.

  • For a game that you already supported by buying cosmetics, and you won’t just do this on one character. More than likely you will buy something cosmetic on each of your characters, because that’s what makes your character feel special.

Edit: Please seriously read this thread as so far we haven’t heard anything regarding the cash shop. Still waiting on your support and concerns.

Currently these are cash shop exclusive but IMC also has a history of giving these + stat reset potions away post large class changes.

If your saying this is competitively different by a mile, do you have some sources to prove that? Maybe a video? Have you played ktos and know for sure? Gvg or world pvp?

Great idea for a thread, please keep it updated.

Yeah, but your class is actually a combination of classes.

If you levelled sorc3 then you liked it. If they add a hidden class they will actually add not a new skill but 20 new classes. Most of them would be unviable but still.

Your class won’t become bad if a new class appear. You will be able to make a new character with this new class just like any other player.

Why should you get an advantage of changing your fully levelled character into fully levelled new class just because you accidentally levelled this way.

Yeah, but IMC gives skill resets for the whole character while I’m talking about single class.

And that’s exactly what I mean when saying “good idea”, IMC think this way too, so they give out such pots.

I’m saying that the game is fine without it. But instead we have to pay more money to get an equal advantage to people who are willing to spend more money on the game than you. This does not reflect on the players skill, knowledge or understanding of the game. But by how rich they are and willing to throw money away.

The fact that it doesn’t change the gameplay or encourage players to work together, it doesn’t add anything of social value or challenging but instead takes away from benefits that are otherwise EARNED through gems, hunting gear, awakening system, skills that give magic amp like Zalciai, etc.

A game is no longer the same game that it was intended to be. The weight of these stat boosters are far too much for a game that was meant to reward you through other mechanics + time spent, socialising with players.

The difference is significant yes. If you can obtain these bonuses through other means then it should be taken out of the game completely. It shows that IMC do not even trust their own community or game design team to make a good game that people will support regardless of such systems.

Edit: Quite honestly, it shows incompetence. I don’t even mean this in a bad way. But it certainly reflect badly on the company and the game itself.

ooooo thats a decent idea.

Again, baseless assumptions without proof…

Your literally the only person saying that these stats are game breaking. Maybe a few stranglers.

I played the game, i gave examples. I played in ktos. I’m not arguing here. I’m merely stating facts about the game.

I’m not going to give you a run down of the stats involved, because clearly you can’t even do your own research right. In fact your argument itself is baseless.

Then you don’t mind redirecting me to your all knowing proof? Otherwise ur just as baseless as I am, and are arguing for fun.

I owe you nothing, if you can’t even play or research the game yourself. Use the forums, don’t waste my time.

proof means nothing if you aren’t willing to comprehend the full weight of these stat boosters and what repercussions they can have on the game’s economy and community.

I don’t appreciate being criticized for my opinions when I’ve clearly explained in detail in as condensed form as I possibly could and explained why they are wrong.

Taking into account that in the future they might want to add stronger scrolls than the current ones to get more money. For example in the case of ‘‘Lunia’’ in which the cash items gave a low status such as 7 ~ 9 str after a time were adding cash items that arrived to give more than 100 in all stats …

The slippery slope is real in the case of asian mmo’s it seems.

You can not appreciate whatever you want, I don’t owe you respect especially when I dont get it either. As far as I’m concerned if you dont have videos this discussion is negligible.

I gave you my respect by going into depth on why I made such a bold statement. I had words to back up those ideals and facts. What have you given me in return?

I do not dislike your opinions, but I should at least feel entitled to my own. I gave you my respect and you threw it back in my face. :joy:

Hope you enjoy the game whatever happens.

But no, you gave me condescending tones and a couple other posts, (while i’m working on my own). I get it your ego is high, but I just dont owe you anything. sounds good? yes it does.

Enjoy yourself too.

I was only giving my view of the current state of the korean TOS. It wasn’t intentionally directed at you. Being confident in your own ideals is not a crime, and having the words to back them up is giving that other person respect.

If we are taking our confrontations personally, it’s because I triggered an emotional response. That’s part of debate and shows confidence, pride, in what you believe in. In your case I was hoping for something more in response.

Not that I don’t care about your opinions, because I wouldn’t be having this conversation in the first place if I didn’t.

And thanks. I will. :smiley_cat:

Poll results (so far): 31% of voters see no problem with magic scrolls.

When so many people see nothing wrong with P2W (no matter how small the bonuses are right now), we can be sure that the scale of P2W will escalate very quickly…

Many players are looking for a game that will keep them entertained for years to come, but they WILL be forced to either: accept the P2W and throw $$$ at IMC to keep being competetive, or simply leave the game in hopes of finding a different game to keep them hooked for longer than 6-12 months.
