Archer Re-balance Topic

we need more hunter buffs :slight_smile: still wish that debuffs from coursing and retrieve applies to boss without rooting them or moving them, same goes with damage :frowning:

Yes, the modifier for split arrow is great again. If they keep this, I will keep some scouts to farm silver.

Remember this is Ktest so they might change it again.

@Composition Hunter nerfed so much. At least the duration makes sense for the cooldown now. Coursing & retrieve end before their CD. Hunter is less -control- class. Burst DoT with silly pet AI. :confused: Spamming coursing, retrieve, snatch will take a lot of SP.

All AoE multihit in game were nerfed in damage% and duration. They have changed into AoE DoT burst.

Just broom trap and throw gu pot have long durations now, 15s and 14s. Arch2 sapp3 wugu3 new sustained ground AoE.

This mean not anymore MS + Circling and Hoaming Arrow + circling?

Also any info on mergen? when his skill description say hit x5 it mean 5 times per target or 5 hit = 5 target? :frowning:

Is different for every skill. Depends on skill AoE attack ratio.

But only partian shaft have AAR!

Spread shoot = 5 hit = 5 target?

I’m aware, thanks for pushing the stick further into the wound, I know, I know not intentional.
I now want them to overhaul the class instead of trying to balance it, they’re too much alike if anything now I feel like snatching would be fitting to damage ground targets aswell but I’d rather they change the whole kit to do something instead of being damage light.

Nothing changed for mergen skills. They work exactly like they do on iToS and normal servers.
They have added info to the skill description.
Changed damage to %.

@Composition Yes, they must make up their minds. Do they make hunter a burst class or a status effect-control class? Right now it is a bit strange, the CC & def reduction is single target and short. Still ktest so it might change.

Because if you remember we have talk about the hidden Aoe Attack Ratio in skill like Three Arrow and Hoaming arrow.

Circling + Three arrow work like before increase number of hit? Same for Hoaming Arrow + circling combo still work?

i have the same sentiments as well regarding hunters. They should just rework the skills if they plan to push through it like this

I’d like to see a rework to the whole kit that takes the theme and differentiate the skills. also, I’d like them to get rid of pet AI and script skill execution to disregard travel time and pet’s location, only show an animation of the doge doing something instead of having the pet travel which causes a lot of problems.

Coursing / retrieve are too similar, sure there’s the crit thingy, but, other than retrieve bringing the enemy close to you they’re the same thing, with these reduced times and the priority given to damage instead of utility I feel that a complete overhaul is needed. They need to choose a role for hunter and keep it around, they’re destroying its role right now in favor of balanced damage.

It’s just me or Falconer looks really strong?

With one rank hovering lvl 5 have around 600% per hit and the bird attack 6-7 times with the atributes so 3600% against a boss for a fire and forget skill.

And with 3 ranks get the Preempetive Strike making the bird use sonic strike that have 1500% every 5 seconds in the max lvl. Looks like it deserve the red icon now.

And the class still have a lot of utility, with Linker nerfed the circling with expand will always be superior, and have aiming too for more good utility.

DEX gonna be useless.

crit att is an ADD so skill % isn’t affected by crit dmg.If you go Full DEX, you will be doing less damage if your using any skill.

But i guess AA build should be fine with it.

Are you sure? There’s a completely different version going on the KTOS general thread. The data a guy there provided reagrding his rogue 3 using backstab against low level mobs seemed to suggest crit attack also gets multiplied by Skill Factor.

I think its only because backstab. Backstab has been away a weird skill, remember when we have the gem update, 400 crit attack increase backstab attack be like 20k?

maybe it has a hidden factor that includes crit attack, my friend tested on AA and normal archer skills and full dex indeed did less dmg when crit.

so for real I dont know is it only backstab or other skills too

Now that you mention it I remember a topic about BackStab damage right after gem revamp being way too high when using yellow gems really.

I just hope crit attack somehow get inside the damage formula so it’s multiplied by skill factor as well, otherwise, it’s a dead stat, period.

yeah remember that? I’m asking the guy to do some more test to make sure. but backstab indeed has some hidden stuff we dont know about which scale really well with crit att.
