New Class Advancement System

But not everyone is gonna build Linker 2 and Thaurgmage 2… Also this build does not have strong dmg skills…

You hace the wizards skills, don’t you?

Yeah I know not everyone would build the Linker + Thaumaturge Wiz but that was just an example of what you could build and still not give up on classes that we don’t know of yet. And this build isn’t for people who want a lot of damage since not everyone wants to build a DPS machine but instead want to be a full support class.

Sure some full supports do some damage such as the Cleric classes both buffing/healing and attacking at the same time but Wiz aren’t that easy as they have a lot of buffs and maybe one or two attacks so the people who wanted to make such a build would need to party almost 24/7 of their game time, which isn’t that bad if you’re playing with irl friends who have the same game time as you.

Either way the point was about people lvling alone (or only with 1 friend) or lvling in party! With the new system is easier to make a char who can do lots of stuff by him/herself, wich will eventually kill the party system

Well you have a good point there, but if there aren’t only hidden classes on rank 8th you can miss it too, and anyway with the new system you could take a lower rank hidden class even at rank 8th ^^

@Anasu hace? did you mean hate? not sure there if i don’t know the word or if it’s just a mistake :x

Yes, I know but do you think level 5 energy bolt and level 5 earth quake is enough?

Oh maybe some of you didnot aware of Element mechanic.
they made change to element mechanic
this is old one.

this is new one

1st link and 2nd link stated the same
敵の属性と同じ属性の魔法を使うと敵が回復する.
Attack a target with same Element magic, that target will get HP recovery.
ex: attack fire monster with fire magic, that monster will get HP recovery instead of 50% damage reduce.

please tell me how can you leveling with 2 Element magic (or 3 if you pick pyro or cyro).

How about buffing other classes and same classes that dont have those skills? Problem solved… Linker Spiritual chain is created for party playing and thaurgmage can buff all of party members without Spiritual chain…

I hope it won’t kill the party system, anyway there should still be the “exp bonus” gained while leveling in party. So it means it will be up to everyone to level by themselves or with other people if they want to. And i don’t think it will change a lot with the fact that if you want to play a support class (even if it’s not full support) there are some chances that you’d need to party to train.

Well if you pick Pyro and don’t go to another attack rank, you would go to a different leveling area since the developers said that there were going to be multiple leveling spots (which people have said is past level 50? 80?) but if you went Pyro AND Cryo since you can now do so, you wouldn’t have any problems leveling since you have 2 elemental sources.

But generally, yeah you would have issues if you just went Pyro… like I’m going to do

@Garrnett That’s true, but the problem is this build above.

Yes but you sacrificed your older rank skills and 6-5 rank classes to build your support class. How is this killing party system? Your buffs are still useful to other character that does not have those buffs…

Sorry I missed that part. Um leveling that build would be partying and being a full support generally. I was just replying to the elemental resistance that was changed. Even with C1 Pyro or Cryo, you wouldn’t do much damage since their skills only get better at C2 and C3.

So leveling in the initial stages would be composed of partying as always but soloing is still possible but slower.
Leveling in the later stages would require you to party up almost all the time to get the benefit of your buffs while soloing might not be as viable, auto attacking linked enemies is still a thing and hangmans knot helps. Also, Energy Bolt + Joint Penalty should do a fair amount of damage because it hits all the linked enemies multiple times (just an assumption)

@Flash
Is it just me or the Skill Charges detail isn’t included in the simulator?
ex. Heal can be used twice.

I didn’t say that it was killing the party system so I think you misread my post or something.

And some people just don’t like the higher ranks and prefer to stay in the lower ranks. Like having a Wiz C1 > Pyro C2 > Cryo C3. This combination actually seems very viable with the new skill Cryo has to pull enemies in. Sure, this sacrifices the higher ranks and more diverse skill set but it still works fairly well in conjunction to each other. It’s all preference based

I’m not saying that lower ranks are better than higher ranks or vise versa but instead just allowing some people to think that the characters with lower ranks aren’t worse than the higher ranked characters. Full support just needs to be in a party more often than not.

I pretty much played the linker build during CBT. It’s slow early on with low number of damage skills, with Joint Penalty helping the grind a bit after you hit Linker (although JP has been since nerfed and I don’t know how many links you get at each skill level now). It’s still mainly a support build so I partied with others. Going forward, your DPS would be much lower than other wizard builds, but that’s not why you would choose this path in the first place, no? I see the change as allowing people to specialize even more (DPS, support, etc). Whether that’s a good or bad thing is at your discretion.

Circle 2 Linkers have a skill called “Spiritual Chain”, that let’s you share buffs between the linked characters in the party. While it’s a cool skill, there aren’t many buffs that the Linker can actually cast himself to make use of this skill, since to take Circle 2 Linker you sacrifice your choice of Traumaturge, so the only buffs you can cast are Wizard’s “Reflect Shield” and Chronomancer’s “Quicken” (if you sacrifice your chance to get Circle 3 Linker). So if you want to share Traumaturge buffs, you’ll actually need to party with a Traumaturge.
Thauma buffs are already “AoE”, as well as Reflect Shield, Enchant Fire, Haste and probably Quicken and Servant too (no confirmation about these two, tho). Linker is a class to improve other players support, not your own.
Aside from what Garrnett said, buy a pet. SERIOUSLY (they are OP).

anyway there should still be the “exp bonus” gained while leveling in party
They implemented that last week or so.

I know it was already stated that it’s a bit different for Clerics and such things nvm… but for me as someone who wants C3 Priest for sure this new system just made the choices more hard not easier in any way. With the old system I already knew that I can’t have more ranks on Cleric, I can’t have Daino of Krivis…I’ll miss Paladin too, I don’t want to be Monk so the only choice left on that rank is Pardoner… Now I can choose whatever I want but I still can’t have everything and with 3 Circle Priest and at least 1 Circle Cleric I already used up a lot of ranks. So yeah for a Cleric it was easier with the old system imo. Lot of times I think we just went with the flow with the old system because we didn’t have a choice…
