New Class Advancement System

Lol at people complaining about “too many choices”. Now picking a lot of classes ruins the system? Let’s say you go Cleric 1 -> Krivis 1 -> Priest 1 -> Cleric 2 -> Krivis 2 -> Priest 2. Your build sucks ass, you can’t deal any damage compared to R6 skills. And you do not have “every class”, you’re limited to the amount of ranks you got.

So…in the previous system you had 6 ranks, so the max classes you can get is 6. In the new system…guess what? That limit stays the same, because the number of ranks hasn’t changed! So maybe think a bit before you start complaining, "backtracking isn’t free you know.

Did you think of any new class combinations that are OP now? Is mixing ice with fire OP somehow? Are Bokor’s zombies somehow lethal under Diev’s statues? Please do tell.

Let’s try making an OhPee support build now, since there’s sooo many options.

R1 Cleric 1: Bitch I’m gonna cheat and get ALL the classes
R2 Cleric 2: All support are belong to us
R3 Cleric 3: Alright, what’s next?
R4 Priest 1: Yeah this is so broken
R5 Priest 2: Oh wait…I’m almost there
R6 Priest 3: Welp I ran out of ranks, bye Krivis, Dievdyrbis, Paladin, Pardoner and Oracle T_T

Because when choosing Cleric, Priest and Krivis as a class build core you’re definitely looking for being a big DPS… Owait.

Personally I thought that even if DM does not worth 10 levels on lvl 15 skills it is still good to strengthen my skills and I actually want to main a Priest and use its skills mainly so I thought even that little buff could worth something for those skills. ( …and maybe it still could be true but it seems rly annoying to use DM so I guess I should just rly forget it now )

I don’t know what class I’ll be at the end but my new question is then… If lvl 25 scrolls will exist for Pardoner… do you think it’s worth to make them? I saw that scrolls cost a lot of money/level and you are saying that lvl 25 skills are not that good… so… Maybe I should just aim for lvl 15 scrolls?

Maybe, but currently they don’t exist, and I don’t think they’ll have level 25 scrolls.

Scrolls are quite expensive, and the good ones cost around ~11k each to make.

Ok thy. I hope lvl 25 scrolls won’t exist. It would make some decisions easier for me haha…

Please post a video from CBT3 or iCBT where a class other than Cataphract, Centurion, or Schwarze Reiter is using skills while mounted. Any class was able to do this in CBT1 and 2. Heck, there are many people in this forum that has played iCBT and CBT3 and they will tell you mounted skills have been restricted to specific classes.

PVP debuted in CBT3 and there’s a reason you ONLY see Cataphracts and Reiters mounted in PVP matches.

You sacrifice a high tier class to gain a low tier class. In order to have Pyro3 and Cryo3, you have to skip all the Rank3 -Rank7 classes. You would then have to rely on Rank 2 skills throughout the game.

We have more options but you still have to make decisions and the limited number of ranks is the regulating factor.

That’s what i wanted to do / o /

@Greensburg people are just complaining 'cause they don’t want to have some new class combo that they are sure will be OP as hell, even while they don’t know how these classes will be nerf with this system so they aren’t better than another Combo (just each combo will have their strengths and weaknesses)

@Spaghetti if i find it again i’ll link it but i think they were all from CBT1/2 and the last one was form Indonesian CBT and i don’t know which cleric class it was, there should be mounted classes for Cleric too so maybe it was one. After reading some posts it stake that with CBT3 they updated mount like you said, so i’m not sure. And it could have been a bug from indonesian CBT too. > i’m trying to find it it was in the Indonesian CBT facebook group if i recall correctly so it’s a long search XD

Super mature and thought through response. So if your done hating with out a decent reason the reason some people are complaining is because we feel like it has made choices easier, we enjoyed the old system forcing difficult decisions on us.

Somehow the new system does not have difficult decisions??? …You guy should read our responses here…

More choices does not equal = difficulty. How is always having what you want hard?

Lol but your still need make difficulty choices because we have said million time here that your are gonna sacrifice a high tier class to gain a low tier classes… You cannot have everything…

There will still be difficult choices you know. Not as much difficult though yep. Anyway i like the two class advancements systems. Each has his good points and bad points whatever imc games choose for this i’ll be okay with it ^^

Ps: if you read most of the posts it’s about the barbarian-hoplite combo or cleric-priest combo something like that that everyone are saying “OP OP OP” ^^’ But anyway i think imcgames know better than us what they are doing with the class advancement system, and we still don’t know if it will stay like that or not since it’s just a trial period.

Once again i didn’t say there was not choices i am saying they are far easier to make now.

I’ve had a lengthy discussion with my GF about the Pros and Cons on the new system, she feels that the old system was better because the restrictions on the system created the need for multiple players to be in a party to make use of some skills combos, here is an specific example that proves her point:

Circle 2 Linkers have a skill called “Spiritual Chain”, that let’s you share buffs between the linked characters in the party. While it’s a cool skill, there aren’t many buffs that the Linker can actually cast himself to make use of this skill, since to take Circle 2 Linker you sacrifice your choice of Traumaturge, so the only buffs you can cast are Wizard’s “Reflect Shield” and Chronomancer’s “Quicken” (if you sacrifice your chance to get Circle 3 Linker). So if you want to share Traumaturge buffs, you’ll actually need to party with a Traumaturge.

On the new system, this doesn’t happen, since you can build up Linker Circle 2 and then Traumaturge Circle 2 (in whatever order you like), so a linker with this build doesn’t need to party with a Traumaturge to be able to share it’s skills with the party, and this is just considering up to rank 6, but if you continue this up to rank 8, this character won’t need to party with other Linkers or Traumaturges, since he can best 'em in any way. You can say that this is a specific case, but it’s a lot easier to do this analysis on the Cleric tree.

Honestly I see more benefits than problems on the new system, since it let’s you customize your character further to your own play style, but I just wanted to see if someone else thinks that this would be really a problem.

I like your GF’s point. Its not that i don’t see merits in the new system, and having class combinations you couldn’t do before was neat. Just over all i preferred how much harder the decisions were, you had bigger losses on your choices.

That possible but you are still gonna lose important ranks if u combine Linker and Traumaturge… That is the downside of that build…

I liked a lot how much harder the decisions where too with the other way but well it’s pretty complicated. There will be nearly half of the players who will likes the first way while the other half will love the second one. And since “higher tier classes” doesn’t really mean better classes in this games (lower classes have less damages for less cooldown, while the higher classes have better damages for bigger cooldown too).

@grillo don’t forget the limitations of buffs too. with the buffs your party members already having a 7buffs link from yourself would make people lose buffs (if what the peopel said to me about 7buffs max is real or not)

Now people need to make more choices about their builds. It’ll give you more variety than the old system.

I don’t see it as a negative point though.
