Well with SW3cata3Dragoon that is a given. I only raised it since you said Lancer iToS meta.

They have been saying that they will go lancer so i only quoted what is happening on swordsman future pvp build. Since the person I replied to asked whats going on the minds of TOP pvp swordsmen.

About that video, it is invalid because there is no 1 v 1 pvp scenario in TBL. For what we gathered so far in iTOS future meta, str along side Lancer buff, silence can obliterate magics and Clerics in legit TBL.

If I were allowed to say what is happening on that video seems to me they were just show casing the PVP capabilities of both. Theyre not fighting seriously just sparring.

Also if I were one of them on that video, ill kill the other person ASAP before the referee command something or only use dethrone then stay away for cheap win. Its like killing the diev before they start circling on their Ausrine.

I was just sharing the video since this is a Lancer thread. I was saying it makes the choice harder since both Lancer and DGoon have their strong points depending on the role you want to play. Regardless it it were a valid match or not, its all we have for now at iTOS.

As for me, my decision is 90% going Lancer and 10% Dgoon C2 for my S3C3DG1.

About the current dex swordsman status in TBL. We actually have none, only the meta cata3 str-con we have so far. So the burden of choice is always on the maker.

I feel high dex lancer could be viable in tbl.

Main reason is crit bonus on skills and block pen skills. If the crit bonus is enough to actually crit pure con inquistor, this might be super important.

I am honestly scared of inquistor kab. I think they are the new terror on a different level from psy3 wiz. If u think current kab are annoying, give them a 6-9k ranged homing nuke and stronger melee + anti mage; thats ur new overlord with even more hp.

Ultimately. High con is probably still king, not str nor dex.

don’t see a reason to build high str on a lancer. According to the scale at lvl 15 you’ll get 125% block penetration, and not to mention you are reducing the opponent’s block by 50% (or 100% at lvl 15 i am guessing?)
my cata got 270 block pene with 0 str +125% is 270+330 which = 600.

having 0 str just seems stupid on a swordsman, for any build you are trying to make.
Not investing a single point into str is just bad.

2:1 str dex/dex str is probably 1 of the most balanced stat builds in this game and you could never go wrong with it.

personally my swordsman have 160 dex 120 con and 208 str, this is my gear less stats at my lvl 280 swordsman, but i am a pvp player and not pve, i believe a pvp build should be hybrid and not stuck with 1 single stat.

you can still kill a cleric with 200 str instead of 400 str, but you can’t kill an archer
again the goal is to maximize pvp performance, you won’t be dodging or missing against clerics and some builds like cataphract can even grab them out of safety zone.
most pvp builds have the capability to melt down 40k hp easily, i think the best pvp builds for swordsmen are HYBRID builds focused both on str AND dex, what i do is im keeping an accuracy emergency set so if im against a very high evasion build ill quickly switch to my accuracy gloves and head gear which will give me about 800-900 accuracy and im good, i personally added up to 160 dex for my catagoon, i want to be the best pvp period

i used to be in favor of high dex BUT things changed
let me tell you this. If you want to deal the most damage you can then str is the choice for a swordsman, for archers you do need dex for more damage but swordies have a str buff and different scaling multipliers, making str better for damage
i have tried both now if you want to pvp you need a nice amount of dex
for pve and dealing damage, dex is next to useless for swordsmen as of now.
Fencer might be the only swordsman class where dex is recommended for pve. DoV is just too good IMO to build dex
if you want survivability its better to just build high con and get a peltasta circle.

Poor people who stat resetted into High STR-con for PVP because they followed your Stat allocation before. Now those people have no choice but to reroll again. You actually went as far to trash talk high dex in PVP.

top 10 actually, it was a pretty drastic change since i used to get 50s before.

i guess being a narrow minded person who never changes his mind even when the truth is in front of him is better, i should just change to full str because i previously thought that str is better.

Why would you give up hybrid with STR if you know thats the truth and can get top 10 with it? Thats a legit question so more Cata3 meta will emulate your transformation from rank 50 to rank 10 in TBL.

Your experiences and transformation will educate us further on how to build properly and know whats the truth to keep and what to abolish.

Nope it was just sarcasm what i said. High dex is very viable in PVP. I tested it myself because for some reason IMC decided to changed the TBL time. I was rank 2 as full dex cata3 dopple in 2v2. Managed to rank 30 something in 5v5. I can kill full con PD as long as i have DOV level 5(Lapasape) and their safety wall is on CD. Also dont go PVP if you dont have 3 pcs of rhevisans.

The only block classes youll have a rough time are Thauma full int and Priest 3 stone skin. Both of which are a rarity now compare to what it was before. Meta Clerics already changed, they are now Kaballist, Diev 3 variance.

With the upcoming Lancer block penetration buff for me that buff is not that great anymore unless Meta clerics went back to priest 3 again.
