Now with the coming of rank 8 , which would be the best option to rank 7 for sword pvp order that 'll take lancer . My classes are currently sw3 , cata3 . thinking about getting corsair in rank7 to use hook and combines with lancer . Help me… Sorry for my english
IMHO. S3C3DGoon1L1 is optimal.

Pick either Corsair, Dopple or Pelt. Dragoon skills on lancer tree will fall off in later ranks( if not on 9 then 100% sure at rank 10).
Definitely don’t pick Pelt. While it may have been speculated before that it may provide additional defensive utility, now that we know Lancers can only use 2H spears (last time I’ve read the translations) it makes picking Pelt a waste of rank as that’s more built around the use of a shield, or at least something in the offhand.
3 of the 4 Dragoon C1 skills are real multihits so they’d still scale as more powerful equipment gets implemented alongside any increase in your STR. They take advantage of your Restrain buff as well. Presuming you’ll go Lancer C3 all the way to R10, there won’t be much powercreep to make your Goon1 skills totally obsolete - you might even be using them more as additional damaging skills in your rotation alongside Cata3 skills.
Corsair and Doppel are good alternatives too.
Corsair’s Hook appears to have synergy with Lancer’s Joust (as gap closer) so you can deal damage as well even if you’re immobile for the Hook duration. Other than, there’s not much else Corsair can offer.
Dopel’s Cyclone will unmount you (which opponents might see as an opportunity) but it’s a good pseudo-Rush especially when Restrain is up. Dopel’s DoV is great against a mostly wiz/cleric lineup, but maybe detrimental against physical classes depending on the situation (e.g. if you get chain-CC’ed while in DoV’s -50% pdef).

Most people on iTOS enjoyed their SW3Cata3Dragoon with high str. Picking Lancer at rank 8 while being dragoon will be iTOS Lancer meta, that build will be the foundation of iTOS pvp Lancer. Its like the Lordknight build of tosbase, which most people followed. Probably 95% of cata lancer will have that build.
sw3>cata3>corsair here, the iron hook is really awesome in pvp, it has saved me from tight situations, being a cata makes it easier for hook to land too. My favorite combo is knockdown opponent, close in, hook, rush/doomspike. the costume is bonus it looks badass on mount! 
I would say not Pelt cuz you won’t be able to use any lancer skills while in shield stance.
I picked sw2>Hopite2>cata3. but I do think sw3>cata3>corsair is better for pure pvp

Didn’t realise the Cata 3 thread no longer shows up due to the OP being banned.
What people think about high Dex lancer given that Lancers get an anti block skills. Viable or high Str is still the way to go.
With high Dex you can: 1) crit, given high base damage of skills and transcendence it will improve the burst, 2) increase chances vs Str builds.
Meanwhile, having low Str means: 1) you can only attack high con shield builds reliably 50%, 2) you still need some block penetration to get closer to 100% either via Str or block penetration items, which as far as I remember do exist now at rank 8, 2) if IMC buffs strength again…we are back to being at disadvantage.

SW3-Cat3-Dragoon-Lancer high str con stats. Thats the current meta on iTOS and most people will say thats the best build for swordsman PVP. Youll never go wrong with that according to them. They also said Dex sucks so much on PVP because PVP is all about magic and clerics. Thats the current meta pvp build on iTOS. Their proof is some of them are in TBL rankings.

Of course there is no Lancer here yet. Just SW3cata3Dragoon. The build is still the same, there should be no denying on it. It’s very apparent via forums and in-game, thats the meta and they have proofs of their accomplishments.
It’s even on TOSbase public build along side Rugal’s Lord knight swordsman build. You can also ask some TOP swordsman forumers here about that build, they will say the same.
Well with SW3cata3Dragoon that is a given. I only raised it since you said Lancer iToS meta.
