Personally, I love the trade and market restrictions (and tax).
This is a very smart move of IMC
I somewhat agree. Id rather they limit now early, and attempt to fight botters/RMTers and then relax it later if possible. Then let it get out of hand crazily now and then start tightening/restricting it later.
Simply put, better for them to be proactive now; instead of just simply reacting later.
Maybe something like this.
- Silver seller sells silver through market
- IMC detects this transaction.
- Sale gets reverted and silver seller banned.
A 48 hour restriction would allow that. Not that I’m a fan of the restriction.
I just noticed something like that has already been said… didnt read all comments.
While it prevents that, it also prevents us from helping friend or each other out. We’re playing a MMO, social game not a single player game.
They can ban them without handicapping the players, pretty sure even in black desert (game without trading) there is still gold sellers.
I was thinking of this issue.
So if the problem is with the gold sellers, instead of a 30% tax in market we use a fix tax for each range of transaction.
I explain, if i post in the market an item for 10000, i have a 10%-15% of taxes instead of 30%. However as the price goes, the tax goes up until it reach 30%.
Idk, it keeps stoping gold sellers as it is now but now items that are not that worth get some profit.
About the 48 transaction time, if i could post like 5 item in the market i dont mind but 1 is just not a lot.
The 48 hour restriction prevents friends from helping eachother?
If you mean trading silver to your friend to help them out, I’m sure there’s ways to differentiate between the 2.
I’m not an expert on the RMT business but i’ll share how i think that is… For example, the silver sellers would get the money from the bots/farmers since they wouldnt want that account banned. So that is 2 transactions to get the money where its going. Bot > seller > buyer. This would be the difference and how it could be detected. So 2 suspicious transactions vs 1.
Ok please do enlighten me also why I can’t trade silver between my own characters and the team storage only has 1 slot.
AND using that team storage takes away 1 trade count when I take the item out.
I agree. It should be 5 for non token / 10 for token. 5 spots get filled up quickly as it is… couldnt imagine 1.
Money laundering, Nep. I told you before.
I don’t really understand how hard it is to check 1 account for money laundering;
Currently there’s 0 point in making a alch/squire to make silver because you can’t give it to yourself anyway.
And do name 1 MMO where there isn’t trade and the game is successful, almost every single game out there has trade option.
I’m not sure about those things. I guess a trade is a trade though, whether it be between your characters or another.
The 1 slot thing is way too low though. You can increase it but its 200k for 1 more slot i think.
Yea, thats a big problem. They need to make it so crafter characters can benefit your whole account better.
I don’t think we should be allowed to trade silver, but I DO think the trading restrictions should be removed so we can trade items with friends for free.
Why? it’s the same logic
gold bot buys item on AH to give to his main account, why would that be a exception?
It hasnt been laggy , however it’s still buggy, there still shitton of bots, the ristrictions are still bs, entirety of orsha is still broken to an extent.
Many quests are still bugged, such as the fire rings quest at tenent gardens, where sometimes non of the circles work and sometimes only some demon circles work.
So on and so on… list is endless, it’s almost pointless listing it.
I made a suggestion about the item trade issue, but i didn’t really get any feedback from people on it.
My suggestion was allow 1:1 trading without a token, except for purple or higher gear and headgears. This is pretty much the only things people would sell for real money. No reason to restrict trading on everything else.
Recipie mats… they might need to put a rarity association with them.
Think people would be happy with that? I was trying to think of a middle ground.
Why do we need a middle ground, if they want to stop gold sellers so bad.
Just disable trading and marketplace all together; Then there will be no one that could buy or sell gold and you would never see bots in this game.
Yah lets do that…
I am oblivious to all!
Because the gold sellers make their profit on selling game currency. If the ability to trade currency with other players is nonexistent, then they would have to resort to the trading of items only, which is nowhere near as profitable or reliable.
But you see, you can still do that through the market; by your logic they should just disable the marketplace so then they won’t have any method to do trading at all.
I still stand by the suggestion to just not allow the trading of game currency, while allowing the free trade of items.
