Hey IMC games since your recycling weapons design from Granado Espada. Which may or may not be weapon costumes.
Can you also rehash all the current costume in Granado Espada into ToS. I’m sure us Granado Espada player would really appreciate it.

Yes, this is fannnntastic, Andre Janzur will approve this
i still hope that they will implement something like a costume slot that the character can wear special style equipment.
i for myself, always loved to get/buy costumes in games which where like “heavy tank” armors. the prestige of this was always important for me
Really beauty costumes.
We will have to wait and see what will they sell in the cash shop, but considering the amount of people that comes from Ro i’m guessing there will be a lot of cosmetics. D:
Really beauty costumes.
judging as how publishers sell the ‘good’ costumes, they might sell it a limited editions, in expensive bundles or worse gacha/random costume giver (to which i rather buy it expensively than pay for something i dont want).
TOSxGE sounds really interesting!
I don’t mind GE costumes, but no. I rather have the fashion from Blade and Soul instead. The Huntian and Wulin costumes are sick…imagine wearing one of those on a doppl or sorcerer? Actually not just huntian or wulin but pretty much any concept from the game. It just looks better aesthetically.
Tree of Savior is an IMC game, Granado Espada is an IMC game. its perfectly ok for them to recreate these costumes. they already recreated granado espada weapons in ToS, see this thread; I see what you did there
While Blade and Soul belong to NCsoft.
They already have costumes implemented, you even get them for your Rank up’s for a class (unless you stay as the same class, of course.)
I’m sure they’ll have TONS of cosmetic costumes as that will make them some major money…
i dont talk about the class costume, i talk about real costume slots, like for the weapon, shield, wings, headgear, so that i can wear a ugly set, but it looks really nice because of the custome.
Kind regards
Gardosen
i kinda guess thats why some mmo have ugly armor only to show fancier costumes in their cash shop.
I’m not saying that they should clone the fashion from Blade and Soul, I’m talking about taking some concepts and ideas. The people behind the costume designs in BnS have a niche for being able to change Asian traditional clothing into a modernized version. The way how it is now in ToS the fashion is too “westernized” for me. It needs more diversity.
@cookiewarlord
the character designer for ToS is by An Jeong Won, just look at her portfolio this is her style of character design
and it will be a self-insult for a artist is she copies the style of Hyung Tae Kim
Asian traditional clothing
Besides the setting of Tree of Savior is inspired from
I said take ideas and concept, I didn’t say copy. Take a look at those images that you posted, naturally both of the artists have their OWN style of designing but it doesn’t mean that the ToS artist can’t take some fashion concept/ideas from the BnS artist, vice versa. It’s not an insult. If it was, most popular concept artists would be homeless already. It’s only an insult if some turtle miscomprehended my message and thought that I expected the ToS artist to make a “CLONE” of the BnS costumes. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
The game is influenced by Lithuanian culture but there’s a good number of classes that aren’t from Lithuania-probably all- and some aren’t even from Europe. If you followed up on the blogs they went AROUND THE WORLD to gather ideas and concept in order to make ToS, one of them is Nepal… The reason why they use historical classes and themes from countless countries across the world was to show the “diversity” in the game. As a developer you don’t need to base ANY OF YOUR CLASSES accordingly to their historical background but ToS did. With that being said, ToS is exposed to many different culture because of the variety of job classes…I don’t see why people like you must think that ToS have to be a purely European game. Quite a narrow way of thinking.

these is the our point of argument.
IMC made themselves unique via designins niche of costume from Baroque-Renaissance Era while all other generic mmo took generic fantasy design for their costumes. With the hype of Blade and Soul 4 years ago so many mmo took the oriental theme into their mmos that its no longer unque.

and expect many more to come from oriental theme based mmo from china
These are Rennaisance-Baroque style which you can see in GE and ToS characters
which are very rare in mmorpg except for those unknown pirate themed mmos that you never heard of.
why do you want IMC to follow oriental theme bandwagon when they are already unique in their Rennaisance style designs.
I talked about Blade and Soul…so why the heck are you bringing up other MMOs? And no, it’s not rare Karjalainen. You’re just ignorant and stuck in that little bubble called IMC. If it’s about Renaissance-esque concept art I give my vote to Aion. Asian theme goes to Blade and Soul. Western theme goes to Aion. There’s one thing that you have to remember, GE is purely based off the Renaissance Era. So how are you going to compare a game that’s based off of only ONE theme to a game with many themes? Besides my main point is to add diversity TO THE COSTUME SELECTION, not a reinforcement to the western theme. Is that bad? How closed minded are you to only want to promote a specific fashion?
Concept Artist Roster:
the only reason we came to rennaisance vs orient vs other cultures was the mention of blade and soul. besides aion theme isnt rennaisance baroque

compared to this

Aion is still a standard fantasy with some renaissance baroque costumes
your best argument would be atlantica online which bases the costume from many cultures

not Blade and Soul or Aion
besides look at the business and development side. with reselling GE costume into ToS there are players from GE that are willing to buy them; plus on the development side you already have the existing costume designs and 3D models that simply had to reskined and moded into ToS charcter models.
