I don’t give no fks.
Oh good at least my non-token user friend who will be joining in the f2p will level up at almost the same speed as me.
You had no reason to interject hours later did you? What are you bringing to this thread? That dude isn’t even pass truffles yet and assumes he should be given more XP than we are already given in those areas.
This isn’t the first MMO to use BASE XP for XP modifiers.
Go be a white knight elsewhere instead of being a hypocrite here.
50,90,145, and 190 dungeons you can but do not need to. The rest do not give XP worth using them on.
You can argue for the 240 dungeon but grinding outside with a tome at that level is far better.
You should definitely stop making stuff up. You have no clue where my highest char is.
Even if I was level 100 it wouldn’t change the a thing about this.
Let me lay out some facts here.
1.) The company owes you nothing. You could take them to court, but over here in america, you would lose. Regardless of what it SHOULD be, it IS a 30% increase. It is an additive increase, but a 30% increase nonetheless.
2.) The only reason you know about this is through modding and datamining. Things the company would most likely dissaprove of. I know the staff said exp. counter mod was fine, but I’m sure datamining violates terms of service somehow.
3.) Exp. modifiers that are based on maps make sense from the perspective of someone coding a game. The area you’re discussing has unique mobs for now, but think about the number of recycled mobs in the rest of the game, and how the level cap is currently less than half of the intended level cap. It is possible, and more than likely that the mobs will be used later. Thusly, the system makes sense from a coders pov.
In conclusion, it isn’t a fraud, whether multiplicative or additive exp. is best is something the rest of you can debate amongst yourselves, I honestly don’t care.
Your complacency is a deterrent for all people that wish to operate an honest business.
Why are you even trying to imply that america has a good justice system is beyond me. Making your companies pay millions because there is no warning that the coffee is hot? GG right there.
The facts are you have no reason to believe that you are getting anything else besides 30% bonus xp and the company does owe everyone exactly that as soon as they purchased it.
You buy an iphone 5 in a store, they owe you exactly that and not an iphone 4 with iphone 5 OS or shell.
Terrible analogy you made there but… First off, my point was only that you would lose the case here. Wasn’t making any statement on the quality of our court system.
Now, they never said it was multiplicative. They never said how it worked, just that it was a 30% bonus. Whatever you infer onto that 30% bonus is all on you. Selling you an iPhone 4 as an iPhone 5 is not the same as selling you an iPhone 4 you think is an iPhone 5. See how that works? I can say, hey, want to buy this new iphone? And you can assume it’s an iPhone 5, but if it’s an iPhone 4 I bought brand new, then it’s on you for making assumptions. That’s how business and capitalism work. They say 30% to push their product, it IS 30% just not the 30% you assume it is. Your mistake, not the company’s fraud. If you want my suggestion, I would say; don’t buy more :^)
The question isn’t even about multiplicative or not.
You take the tome and go grind truffles in alemeth. Are you getting anything close to 30%? No you are not even getting 20% of that and if you want a perfect analogy take the internet connection contracts.
They sell you DSL 16k with a little up to somewhere in the tos and you think you are bound to that if they only give you e.g. 8k consistently? This ■■■■ doesn’t fly here - there is no “they don’t owe you 16k speed”. They do when they advertise it as 16k or even as up to 16k. It is then common practice to speedtest your net, send a letter to the company and ask them to improve their service within 14 days.
If they do not comply you can reduce the price or get out of the contract. Now in this case the item is already used so there is nothing you can do about that so at the very least you could force them to either reverse the TP purchase completely or give the TP back.
It can’t be that different even in america.
Wouldnt touch internet or phone providers in America, they are turrible. One of the scummiest of industries/markets you’ll find here, theyll try to squeeze you for any penny they can get while telling you lies to your face.
Try a different analogy.
Many people don’t agree with me but i see only one thing here: greed.
Tome works fine, its add 30%.)
SomeCharactersDontBeGreedyYahooo
Ordering a 1L drink in a restaurant and it is filled with 100ml. This was last one no more masterbaiting.
The only thing wrong is that there isn’t a clear breakdown of the exp bonuses ingame. If such informations were implemented, one would be easily able to see if using a book in a certain situation is actually worthwhile or not.
You know that TheDoddler guy, he’s the same guy that the OP quoted from reddit and also the same guy who made that table.
here’s the reddit : https://www.reddit.com/r/treeofsavior/comments/4hdfqz/how_exp_modifiers_stack_or_why_you_should_never/
So yeah your mistake again. You’re basing your arguments on someone else’s research. Or did you find that 268.3 was the map modifier yourself?? Cause if you did you may have leg to stand on, but odds are you’re just misinterpreting someone else’s work.
The same guy who posted the information about multipliers, the same guy who said that 268.3% was the map multiplier for 2nd demon prison, is the same guy who did the maths quoted in OP and quoted again by you. So if he’s done the calculations with the map modifiers being an exp increase then my god there an exp inscrease.
Again let me say, that calculation was done by the same person who wrote the map exp modifer table. So if he’s refering to it as an “increase” rather then a “modifier” then its an “increase” for maths sake. You can go argue with the guy if you want about what a “modifier” is but i highly doubt anyone really cares.
As i said, you should feel embarrassed unless you were going for the troll look cause none of your points had any merit at all.
I don’t know why anyone discusses these things lol, IMC don’t give a rats a$$…the slower you lvl the longer you will play this issue wont ever be looked at a second time or responded to. The game has 2 things to do, grind and chat, its a face book with moving sprites.
30% bonus = +30% exp gained from initial value
30% more experience = +30% from final value
The wording is correct, no false advertisement.
You learn to pay attention to wording if you played games like path of exile.
The description on EXP tomes says : +30% EXP from hunting monsters so it’s kinda obvious it only counts to the base exp value of the monster.
Oh, boy… This shenanigans mechanics are so amazing once found out.
OMG I learned and forgot the difference of “more” and “increased” soooooooo many times in that game.
This thread is an amazing find. So amusing
