No reason to play elementalist anymore.
It’s usually that small mobs have 1 AoE Def, medium have 2, and large have three.
Some heavier mobs and bosses have a higher AoE def of 5-6. Highest I’ve been able to find on the ToSbase monster list though.
Yeah gear with +AoE ratio can be useful for farming large groups, as well as the Linker and Falconer reducing AoE Defense can be quite strong.

Falconers have an ability that reduced AoE Defense in an area by up to -10. (-1 per skill rank)
so its not that bad a nerf , and even if it is i have to deal with it 
Yep, you’ll still be able to hit around 15-5ish mobs at once, depending on their size.

There’s alot of ways to increase aoe ratio, so it’s not that bad of a nerf.
Just makes having a support class to decrease aoe ratio defense alot more useful with elementalist in party.
100% Physical Damage immunity and 100% Uptime on complete CC immunity is overkill, man.

well im not being a preist so idc is preist gets to ■■■■ lol, but im gonna have pd as my rank 7. well it makes up 4 it tho bcuz cleric has like 1-2 cc abilities on their entire tree so it makes sense. its like healing classes have terrible damage, but can heal in return. cleric tree has barely any cc, but can resist cc
It really is though. It doesn’t help that all the AoE attack ratio gear is basically for swordies - swords get 2-3 while staves get 1. Even vubbe fighter gloves and that ridiculously rare bangle are STR-centric.
It’s still a huge advantage in PvP, so there’s that. Even Impaler can’t work here. Corsair is the only class that can bypass this.
Why are we getting a nerfed version of tree of savior? Most if not all of these are just direct nerfs, I see no buffs or positive balance changes. Why are the regions not being treated equally?

So, nerfing abilities is not necessarily something bad. Improving game balance by refining the strength of particular abilities is often a very positive practice done by, well, just about every MMO out there.
We aren’t getting a “more watered down” version of the game. We’re getting a more balanced one with fewer things that are too strong. Not saying every patch is perfect, but they are rarely something to make the game drastically worse.
