Hello.
We are IMCGAMES TOS Team.

We will begin the first Beta Test for Tree of Savior English ver. today at 10:30 PM (EDT;UTC-4)

Before we kick-off, we would like to inform you of the following that will guide you throughout the test process.


1. Download and Installation of Game Client
-Please check the System Requirements
Tree of Savior System Requirements

-You must have a Steam account and Steam Client in order to play the game.
http://store.steampowered.com/about/

-Use the Beta Key to add Tree of Savior to your Library.
How to register your Beta Key

-Flash Player must be installed to run the game client.


2. Basic Game Guide
Please refer to Game Guide in the official website.


3. Bug Report and Tickets during test

i. Use the [‘Beta Test - General’] (https://forum.treeofsavior.com/c/beta-test-discussions) category for discussion and inquiries regarding game contents.

ii. Use the ‘Beta Test - Feedback’ category for feedback and suggestions…

iii. Use the ‘Beta Test - Bug Report’ category for bugs you find while playing the game.
If there are issues that need to be reported in private, you may opt to submit tickets instead.
(ex. system abuse, reporting players, sensitive and critical bugs, etc.)
*Ticket function will be opened when Beta Test begins.

iv. You may also use the ‘Bug Report’ button found at the upper-right side of the game screen for bugs that occur in the game.

v. Game updates during Beta Test will be posted in ‘Beta Test - General > Patch Notes’

vi. Announcements related to Beta Test will be made through ‘Beta Test - General > Announcements’


4. Tree of Savior Game Masters (GM)
Please note that the following are your GM’s for Tree of Savior.

[GM]APPLE , [GM]MANGO , [GM]OBRIAN

They will be in-game during the Beta Test period so you may get in touch with them for help or inquiries.

We hope for your active participation and support for the first Beta Test.

I thought these servers would be open for 24 hours. You said so in the first announcement.

When the server opens it will be open 24h a day for like 5 a 6 days. Not a complete week but still enough to try it out.

I think i read the mail wrong then. I thought I read it would start August 3 o.o Btw, does anyone think it’s stupid that the patcher relies on FLASH? We’ve seen plenty of reasons a few weeks ago that Flash should be buried deep underground and only HTML5 should be used from now on.

they re-sent mail out that it would start today on August 4th not the 3rd.

I hope i can play this too but i didnt get a beta key, i guess i will be watching streams and try to analyze and report bugs from streams so i can also help the community, Keep up the good work IMC Games :smile:

Some changes have been made.

Those issues were also fixed within like a day or 2 after the whole ordeal blew up.
Flash is easier to deal with than HTML5.

There’s no reason to ditch Flash, it’s might be a bit resource heavy sometimes but it’s a much more simpler format to use.
(Especially for animators and even from a coding perspective).

That would be cool since he’s pretty involved with Wakfu with all the guides he has done, but i feel it’s just a fruity name like the [GM]Apple :wink:

Hugh, html5 is better then flash in just about anything.

i beg you please may I have a beta key to play TOS? I am broken hearted that i’m not 1 of the 5000 people chosen to test the beta =(. I beg you with all my heart and i thank you again.

Those discussions demanding html5 over flash are hilarious :joy:

Anyway, we have to anticipate the first quarter of or half an hour might be a bit shaky anyway so I would just chill in the beginning.

Is there any NDA that we have to follow? I didn’t find that and I would like to know if we are able to livestream the game, upload some gameplay footage on youtube etc

I would like to show the game via Twitch but I don’t want to be banned though x)
