for me, when i click the steam icon on the top, logged in, it worked with my steam username up top indicating the sync was successful… so i’m not sure why you couldn’t get that 
wow! you know I actually wanted to do the same XD
I was even considering that somehow the name got stuck from closed beta when I used it on a server there
So I was glad that we can get a second chance with our team name, so I went to another server just to test out the team naming in preparation so that I don’t make the same mistake again. 
But why is there no warning prompt before officially creating a team name that is available? Many of us probably would prefer to know whether the name is even available before actually creating it to have more freedom in naming choice, as it could be stuck for life for most of us, and most games do this too, either with a “Check availability” button or an “Are you sure…” prompt window if the name is available and that you have to click “Yes” again to officially use the name.
Hopefully this prompt can be added before the Tuesday patch! Much appreciated. 
Same here, no site mods or devs are taking the time to resolve this issue… we can’t even contact support because of the steam authentication problem…
wait… if icbt names are taken, that would explain it -____-
but why? couldn’t they wipe those accounts then? assuming its the case of course…

Wohoo, let’s waste their time by submitting and make them manually cancel tickets about meaningless issue. Because they have unlimited resources and nothing else to spend their time on. \o/

Dude I solved it and posted a “guide” about the steam authentication loop bug. IT YOUR STEAM NAME, DO NOT USE ANY SPECIAL CHARACTERS. CHANGE YOUR NAME TO PLAIN ALPHABETIC CHARACTERS AND YOU’RE GOLDEN. I am your god now. Jk, thank me later.

I’ve followed the steps on this post to send a ticket requesting the team name change…
I log the support page into my google account, then I click t he Steam Icon, and Log in there as well. Now when I come back to the support page, to send the actual ticket, it tells me to authenticate steam before submitting a ticket.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I have tried different browsers and incognito mode in case it was a cookie issue.
