Tank Type Build = There is no such thing. Swordmen = filler class

Best boss tank in game. Only good to be annoying in pvp. Don’t tell me that you were able to kill a 50 def full vit sinx with bash… or Spiral… (Or Creator, or Professor, or Paladin or any rebirth classes) (I stopped playing right before 3-x classes got out.) And as soon as you berserk you just get dispelled or run a a gypsy green song or get decreased agi…

Other then survivability, LK sucked.

dude, knight, lvl 99 max, no rebirth lol. they killed the game later with all the other classes.
i played a bit with the new classes in private servers, but knights only using dragon breath, just bad. i played with shadow chaser for a while in a private server, just pvping, using Asura with bow from distance, lol that was ridiculous

agility 2h sword knight, used to be awesome in the first years

Man I told y’all months ago that mitigation is the clerics game.

Anyways the new Guardian on Ktos is a lot of physical mitigation via Defense + Evasion.

35% Def + 18% Evasion @ level 15. You’ll drop your attack stats massively but it should be possible now to hit over 2k Defense in some party set-ups which would only be relevant to ET mobs but w/e. Leaving the rest of your health pool to worry more-so about just eating magic damage. Assuming the physical damage didn’t get blocked to begin with.

I mean I guess I don’t mind the guardian change as much after learning there’s no other mitigation but I still think it’s annoying that it destroys your ability to maintain aggro

Destroy Aggro:
This is on the same class with Swashbuckling, lettuce be cereal.

Swashbuckling is not enough to do anything more than walk mobs to you. It doesn’t help me get aggro back at all once I lose it to someone else

As far as I can tell from reading all swashbuckling does is taunt the mobs to you and increase your maximum hate count. I don’t think it actually generates aggro, and if it does it seems to be an extremely insignificant amount

And the 3 second debuff that goes on the mob, not to bring up its bad uptime, but in my experience that debuff gets overpowered extremely easily by DPS classes, whatever it actually does I don’t know

Unless they legitimately make swash buckling to really taunt in your opponents in pvp scenario i dont think tanking swordsman has any other use than to make grind parties grind more faster

Swash buckling to have damage received reduction when successfully taunted an enemy or more.

And why don’t we have hdef and sdef like in RO, its a lot better than this shitty flat reduction defense stats.

PVP Swash should reduce enemy damage by a lot until they hit you X times where X is the level of Swash. Simple.

I find it funny how people still try to build a full tank class for pvp.

There is no such thing as a tank in pvp. You can’t force a player to attack you.
You can only wank him in the face repeatedly and he will have to do something about you.
Unless you hit like half a wet nooble, you can’t be ignored.

Just build yourselves to be as annoying as possible and you will be successful.

Swordsman isn’t tank. It’s WARRIOR that specialize in using sword weapon for combat. COMBAT not tanking (letting enemies punch him in face)

If you want tank archetype then KNIGHT or PALADIN would be better since they use swords in their basic gear alongside with heavy plate armor and sword/axe or short spear

Two-hand knight, agi shield crusader in ragnarok online

Two-hand swordsman in Neverwinter.

The list goes on, all of these are not tanks in mmos, unless built to do so. They’re all DPS and/or bruisers.

This or an AoE flinch/stun would be marvelous.
