*** Swordsman Classes Need to be Fixed *** [IMC, are you looking at this?]

Swordmen didn’t get any nerf though. People cry in CBT because:

  • Level cap was 200, mobs were mostly trash
  • 2h swordman (highlander/barb) can overkill stuff and get bonus exp
  • Archers were weak
  • Wizard didn’t have 100% up time of quick cast, and only deal gradual damage (no overkill)

What happen after that:

  • Mobs HP and damage raised beyond swordmen capability
  • Overkill bonus exp was removed
  • Archers get massive buffs
  • Wizard get massive buffs

Basically the game outgrown swordmen

How did they nerf swordsman exactly?

Dunno about you guys but Im playing swordman and i dint went pelt twice, things work out well tbh.

all i did is pick provoke passive from swordsman. Lol. It work pretty much the same as swash buckling. been working out fine.

people just dnt know how to use swordman properly it seems

Provoke doesn’t work if you don’t attack the mobs. Swash Buckling is AoE aggro lure.

What is annoying about Provoke is that it’s not an active skill that you could just spam away at mobs to at least lure them manually one-by-one.

Luring mobs is entirely different from boss aggro. I can hold any boss aggro with my swordman (no pelt) even against fletcher and ele. But grinding is really hard because I cannot pull mob at evac.

aggresor and savagery buff is gone , that nerf make swordman dps so weak

One of main problems of swordman is the goal of IMC and the way they want to achieve it.

Goal = swordman autoattack machine
How they want to achieve it = give almost no autoattack buffs

So basicaly they contradict themself. They either do it as every class, with dmg coming from good active skills or remove active skill and add something that buff/change autoattacks.

Why do people keep saying that we’re an auto-attack class? WTH??? Please play the game.

I have more chances to win a World boss lvl 275-280 like Mirtis or Helgasercle versus any type of Wizard, go figure.

Dunno about you guys but i have been experimenting at also confirm that this happens in one of my experiment with a buddy.

Im a swordman and my friend is an archer.

He shoot around a few mob, that is closest to me, they mob rush to me instead of him.

We tried over and over as long that my charcter is closer and his is kinda of of the enemy range of sort if it is attacked even if not from me it went rushing to me instead.

Too bad no video for prove but this is legit.

But did not try this with boss apparently.

But yes it still doesnt work like swash buckling does. whish is simpler, just use the skill and all the mobs comes running to u which works better.

But this provoke does work it wonders too in my opinion as prove by me and my friends.

My provoke is 100%, havent tried higher as of yet since it doesnt seem that i need to.

That was gone before CBT, even before the time people cry OP barb lol.

as far as my bad experiences go, that is not the case. Whenever I am partied with an archer or more, they usually storm ahead of me fire random arrows draw mob toward them and all over the map sometimes die, and afterward complain why I didn’t provoke them.
Clerics and wizz never been an issue, they draw aggro and walk toward the swordman who then gathers the mob in one spot, archers scatters mob around

Last archer in DG115 even took a dig on “how it is difficult to be partied with a non-SB sword, the boss minions swarmed and killed my archer” while my swordman was busy tanking the boss… even if I have SB at that time, I definitely won’t use it to save him as Capt Barbarossa said in Pirates of the Carribean “I AM A LITLLE BUSY OVER HERE”

What we need is some job restriction at sub weapon, or re-scaling damage for 2HS weapon. Im currently playin at ToS INA, lv 209 doppelsoldner, dex build, and focus at 2HS.

Most of “meta” DPS job like archer and wiz, they got % scaling damage for their skills, and what make swordman “DPS” job line falls behind are sub weapon (for 2HS spear or sword). Because that property atk from sub weapon like arde/karacha dagger/venom/manamana increase your skills damage too.

Lolopanther 2HS atk = 350~651 + Earth property atk 57.
Lolopanther Pike = 425~576 + Earth property atk 104.

Lolopanther Crossbow = 412~455 + Earth property atk 41.
Lolopanther Rod = MATK 334 + Earth property atk 41.
using Karacha dagger = Fire property atk +153.
using Venom = Poison property atk + 178.
using Manamana = Lightning property atk +278.

With % scaling skills at archer and wiz, how can “DPS” swordman line job able to compete?

I’m already pass 250+ without damage problem, and I can still solo anything. The one who call others idiot is the idiot himself just so you know. If you don’t like ppl opinion just ignore it or try to argue with it with reason. Causing other people just make you look stupid.

Cannot agree with you more, I have spent around 400 hours playing as Swordsman, even have a guide up :

Basing on my experience running high level grinds, unless you have a Peltasta1 for gathering mobs, most of the time they don’t welcome you in because you aren’t dealing enough damage, high skill CD and so on.

Swordsman class
PROS:

  • Can gather mob with Pelt1 Swash Buckling

CONS:

  • Low DPS burst and DoT

Seing ArcherC3 can have Swift Walk up indefinitely and QS3 Running Shot have only to wait 12 seconds for CD (+200% dmg and 30% atk spd), and these skills can be used immediately without stacking. In my opinion it if very unfair for BarbarianC3 Frenzy to have such a long CD, it would be fair to make it a Toggle buff ON/OFF requires stacking is fine.

Also having played Fencer to C2 and tried all of the skills, unless you have a lot of money (87 millions to max out 0 CD skill attribute Composee) your damage is very very low compared to Archer and Mages. Don’t play Fencer unless you like the costume so much.

Swordsman class needs serious buff, I’m already making my Fencer run dailies and am working on Archer for now.

lol feeling the same here its kinda unfair to swordsman that Frenzy has long CD and needs to be stacked, when Archers can have Swift Walk and Running Shot be used immediately with 12 secs CD. too unfair.

damage has something wrong, where only one player has hurt the community 90% no lies buddy, but called him an idiot and call you tbm…minhas ideis and actions are mine not yours now goes to hell false moralist.

We just need animus for swordsman change Con to P.ATK
