Remove Pay to Win Options (Like resurrecting with icoins)

Time-savers (wich include reviving items, exp boosters and some scrolls to warp to any location even if there’s no goddess statue in it (warp to visited NPC), permanent weight increase potions (carry more stuff before you have to run back to the city to sell them), personal blacksmith tools to fix gear with no need to go back to city), items that would allow your item to not loose durability when traded, potions that will keep your stamina 100% for certain duration (say 1 or 2 hours), costumes, hair styles, different looking mounts and pets, the “skin” for different look of your weapon, reset scrolls (wich could be also considered as time-saver, like huge time saving tool as it makes you in no need to level new char from scratch), bigger lodge (more toons to play), etc.

And basically items that are obtainable in game with effort wich are not giving players power adventage (so iCoins are good example as long as they are still available in game from achievements, gained per day).

lol some of that would be straight up broken. Ill take some infinite stamina potions on my monk thanks, infinite double punchs xD

You didn’t understand a thing, what the op means that the res skill is currently useless since we can pay 5 icoins to rez, so what’s the point for priest to invest skill points in the rez skill?

Going back a bit to the iCoin to raise option, it would be great if everyone had something like 5/5 raises that replenish daily, and any extra would have to be paid for. This would make the raise skills useful.

In my ideal cash shop I’d love to see costumes and different colors for your already unlocked jobs (this would actually be pretty good) instead of “improvements” to your character and gameplay. For example, if they really allow skill or stat resets you should pay for them with virtual currency instead of cash (I hope they don’t allow this feature, it breaks the game in many ways).

Pay to avoid playing would be a good thing. Materials, potions or recipes (with the same effect or less than what you can find in-game), and exp/silver/drop boosts, anything that lowers the amount of time you have to invest playing.

Another example would be paying for companions that have the exact same move sets and stats than the ones you can acquire inside the game, but with new and awesome looks. Plus cute pets that offer nothing more than visuals.

Making it short, I would like to see a big cash shop that has no “premium content” behind a paywall that you can only access with cash, outside of costumes, new colors, skins, anything that you pay in order to require less time playing or to gain a different look.

As an example, Warframe’s cash shop is a good one to follow.

Was well-balanced just used in the same sentence as LoL and WoW…

HA

What about the bug where you can’t resurrect cuz the menu disappears?

Hey guys,

I think this is great feedback which is what CBT is all about. We are always here to listen to everyone to make sure we make the game as good as it can get. Keep the feedback coming but let’s keep the conversation nice. Happy playing

A GM REPLIED TO SOMETHING.
Miracles do exist!

cough Oh…uh…hi.

Ontopic:
Just increase the price on it so Ressurection and Revive on Priests are actually valuable to people. They’re simply not used in the iCBT.

revive is already a valuable skill but i do agree on making resurrect worth taking.

Well, yes, because it saves the time you’d spend clicking the ‘revive here’ button

your viewing it in a PVE perspective revive is a very powerful pvp tool for arena

First off, WoW is not free to play after a point, and it started out and developed its success with subs. Never could stand the game though. LoL has a great model that is mostly skins or acquiring new characters faster, but they also have boost time stuff that gives a slight advantage. Main thing though, you do realize that icoins are obtained through achievements right? You can get hundreds of them, I have about 200 on my char right now and able to grab more, and I have used at least 100 already buying reset scrolls and res through my play time. Even if it is eventually a paid thing, it doesn’t give one person an advantage over the other, it simply keeps them from having to go back to the location and try again. Not to mention that there is a res skill so having a healer with you could take care of that as well.

PvP isn’t the only thing in an MMO. If something is worthless in PvE (or close to it), then its not a well designed skill, or in this case, vastly overshadowed by another feature, neither of which is a good thing.

Yes of course its great in PvP. You cant come back from death there, a loss is a loss.

in this beta where we’re being fed coins, sure res can be considered ‘useless’ - however, in the future? we have no say on that yet until it is a proposed item into the cash shop with an actual price. plz read my other posts

Just going to drop this here from @DiscKZee’s kcbt3 change thread. Hopefully it’s quoted properly.

Keep in mind NXP is the korean version of iCoin.

So on iOBT/release shouldn’t have everyone running around with 500 instant revives, assuming they’re kept in at all.

I don’t see the i coin res as a issue but we don’t know if these achievement rewards will remain the same on release either

I know its not i play both PVE and PVP but as long as a skill has worth some where i see no issue from it where your post sounds like you only care if things are viable in PVE. And by that logic any skill with cc on it is crap because it doesn’t work well in PVE. You cant just view skills from one direction when this game plans to support PVP and PVE.

Im a programmer and yes I can agree to this. Better to remove than add things. Makes my life easier.

A skill should be useful in some situations in both modes. PVP only skills are silly, and so are PVE only skills. There are definitely uses for CC in PvE (just a shame they dont even do anything to bosses, and no I dont want perm stunned bosses, I just want the CC to at least do a weaker or different effect)

While no, I do not play PvP, I still know what is good in it and what isn’t, and just as I want everything viable in PvE, I also want everything viable in PvP. I allow obvious exceptions like say, ressurection, which obviously can never work in PvP no matter what, but most skills should still be useable in both modes.

This is the issue both modes require different things. You wan may want this but it is not a viable possibility. Its like wanting all classes perfectly balanced it will never happen. Getting classes close is the best you can do.
