Remove Pay to Win Options (Like resurrecting with icoins)

You know, he has a point. If you can resurrect with iCoins, why do Priests have the ability to resurrect? The reason he says the resurrect skill is pointless right now is because everyone can just revive instantly. That being said, I believe this instant revive with iCoins are there to help players test the game (not confirmed ). I do agree with him, that allowing players to revive like this on release sounds like a lazy work-aground for bad pve balance. I don’t want to see this on release, it feels cheap. But as I said, it’s probably for testing purposes.

You didn’t bring your idea to the table, you shouldn’t leave.

Totally agreed…
P2W is kinda selling boxes with chance of Godly gears. 100% success Anvils with cash etc.
EXP boosters & revive on spot doesn’t count.

for now in CBT iCoin resu cost only 1 iCoin

but in OBT maybe they will increase it to like 10 or more so priest can use resu to save iCoins

since if you die, you can still get exp from your party. only thing missing when you die is your dps (experienced a levelup when i was dead. having full hp with a death notification)

That is still bad. Why not tweak the game properly, make it so deaths occurs because of YOU, and only YOU? then there is lag, the are performance issues, there are glitches. Of course, this is beta, that’s why its there, so you can get around those frustrating problems. But if this mechanic persists on release, this tells that your game is still full of problems, and that you don’t have the money, time, or will to fix those issues. Reviving on spot may not be pay to win, but its one of the marks of an unpolished game.

Guys, if the game is going to be free to play, then need to make money somehow.

So, what do you prefer? Selling overpower gear, weapon upgrades, and this kind of stuff that instantly makes the player more powerfull?

Or do you preferr, reviving on spot (with the drawbacks of reviving, like durability loss), and exp booster, witch doesnt interfere directly on how powerfull your character is?

Also, you cannot RESS on PVP.

Personaly, i choose the second one…

what do you mean by this? have you tried the 5v5 arena in kTOS or other server? or just the default 1v1 PvP?

Only the 1v1 PVP. The moment you die, the fight is over.

The 5v5 PVP, ive only seen videos, and in ALL of them, when a player dies, he remains dead until one of the teams is compleately dead.

So, in either of the PVPs, you cannot revive.

EDIT: in the 5v5 PVP, you CAN be revived by the priest skill thou.

Skins. Costumes. Hairstyles. Lodges. The groundwork for those are all there. Reviving on spot is NOT the only option. Don’t talk like their income will depend on reviving on spot.

Thoes thing work in mobas, but i dont think they work in MMOS, where you are constantly changing the appearence of your character equiping diferent gear (in this case, the costumes and weapons/hats)

They will need to cash on top of consumables. Therefore, i rather have this options that are the less impactful to the game rather than actuall pay to win stuff.

adventure journal wont give you any icoins on obt, they changed reward to silver
there won’t be daily icoins like in this cbt when obt starts
and i don’t think icoin revive is p2w in pve, as far as this thing isn’t allowed in pvp im fine with that

=) well we just don’t need to die. Or implement something new like Bokor’s can revive you as a zombie?

So now Parties need to bring a Priest (for revive) and Bokor (For revive ala Zombie)

iCoins in cbt are just for testing purpose, in the obt there are not iCoins for free players so forget status reset and skill reset.

Currently , icoin is not a Cash currency, it’s the achievement point.

Or you can bring yourself and your team a good-ol-squires. you can revive on the spot if your squire party member has a tent erected somewhere on the map. although i think its kinda bug atm where as you should be reviving on the nearest tent and not on the spot

tested it with Heltrey on lepusbunnies spot.

A slight pay2win option is needed to keep the game alive. As long the pay2win option can be countered by proper skill and length of play, I think it’s okay to let it exist.

Not many players would use the cash shop if it’s a cosmetic only shop. Someone has to pay for the game.

They can’t earn much from those. This is not MOBA. While I do agree they are still doing an not-okay job on this game, they need to earn enough to continue to work on this game.

someone will use Path of Exile as the glorious true F2P wow killer example

Resu for icoins = P2W?
Seriously?

Tips on how to remove P2W from F2P MMO.

  1. Put all of your fortunes into their investment with no returns.
  2. ???
  3. Happy ending

Resurrection when u have penalties isn’t pay to win.

Immortality… THIS is pay to win.
