Policy Update Regarding RMT

No, you shouldn’t make TP -> Silver conversion a huge thing and disallow + punish RMT <-> Item as well.

You have to consider that people like myself , opened near 500 boxes and did not get a giltine wing.
For such super rare exclusive items, The buyers set the prices its only fair that way

With all due respect, that is how the world works. Even if you remove the ability of TP > Silver or RMT > Silver, somoene will sell it for real life cash. (Happens, even over 10 years ago - Epic raid weapon drops in EQ).

Just like the case of the 10-run watch, the prices will NOT go down. Because of how rare it is, there is no point in discounting it. Its not an ordinary traded item where you account for depreciation, holding value, etc.

Up yours? We made fun of people like you in Archeage.

And that how it was supposed to be.

But then in practice instead of having the item not being sold or something, you have Cash/RMT players getting exclusive access to it just because you got some spare $$$.

There you come again. Getting personal lol.
I am okay spending to try to get something i like and i can.
Its not up to you to judge thank you

How it is personal if I don’t know you? “People like you” is not personal (since you made an example that I witnessed in the past), calling someone “rage nerdy” is going personal.

And yes, if you post something into a public forum I’m free to judge and even make fun of people’s addictions.

There is a video up there.

Nor yours, it’s up to IMC and that’s why we’re discussing here on forums and voicing opinions and concerns.

Let’s make an experience, do not RMT those rare items and see if the price will go down or not. Are you up to the task?

No right? Because you won’t get the item and you wouldn’t accept being an average player just because you have $$$.

This is the frustration that happens with average players being excluded from “exceptions” and other content.

@Seiran
That was in response to Alleycat not you .
I cant see why anyone is bothered with me opening boxes and trying to get an item i like

Wot? I don’t (RMT those rare items), never did, I keep trying to disabuse you of that notion of some of us, but you seem to think that we have a ‘must have it’ attitude for everything.

FYI, I run +16 weapons on most of my characters, even. The HIGHEST enhanced weapon was a +21 I made myself during the transcend event.

Edit: Giltine Wings are still not traded on Telsiai, regardless. Its a seller’s market for those. The seller sets the price on ultra-rare things.

Edit2: For the really rare items, the seller sets the price. Same case in the real world. The only time where a really rare item might go for cheap, is from liquidation (Bankruptcy, or Estate sales).

Other people does though and my point is still valid if you apply to them.

The problem isn’t opening boxes, stop throwing strawmans.

Yet almost only RMTers and such have silver to pay those ultra-rare things, which excludes most F2P players from the case, while some others, like we discussed before, will trade it for real money, which is also bad.

If no one in the game can afford 3 billion for an item, no one is stupid to only sell something for 3 billion. Even the overpriced stuff will scale with economy.

I’m not bothered, at all (who cares?).
I only find it extremely hilarious when someone comes out with “I opened hundreds of boxes and didn’t get the item I wanted”. :joy_cat:

Could you guys keep it brief and not atking each other? It’s fine discussing a bit, but keep it in check

Your opinions are all good, and it will help IMC staff, but seeing all your rambles make me less and less motivated to follow this thread

Look. Even in the real world, there are many things that exclude people. It is IMPOSSIBLE to be all inclusive. You claim that only RMTers and such have the silver to pay for it, but WHO sets the price? The seller.

He could’ve listed the item for much cheaper to be all inclusive… But if you had a Giltine’s Wing yourself, would you?

Yeah, sorry. I get a bit rambly. Problems with age. GIT OFF MAH LAWN. :heeey:

And we’re playing a game. Inside the game economy we’re not a lawyer, engineer or musician etc. We’re archers, wizards, clerics or swordies.

And from where does the seller bases the price? From the economy. And what’s in the economy? The RMTers.

The discussion should be easier and simpler: RMT, botting and heavy P2W makes people quit.
It happens in every game that goes that way, it will continue to happen.

POE, that you mentioned earlier, has 60€ wings, but it has 0 p2w: I’ve spent some hundreds there, if it wasn’t so repetitive I’d kept playing and investing into it constantly (instead of doing it at every new patch).

There are whales playing poe, altho they can’t buy their way to endgame (and GGG is not as soft as IMC with RMT) and the game is going fine and has an healthy population.

TOS has an already low playerbase, but it can always be lower.

Exactly: those who p2w set their prices according to conversion rates of gold sellers. (now link that with the people that spend their entire wage and try to guess why it happens).

They need to be strict with bots.

Whales also, if they are botting it’s against the rules.

There are botters that bot just to RMT and do not care about the game, all profit.

There are botters that are actually owned by real players (Famous bots Frundsberg and xxUchihaxx), frundsberg banned, but Uchiha is still alive.

They hurt the market too much, I know xxUchihaxx’s main account but it remains untouched despite bot reports.

Now then, there are still several necro bots causing non legal inflation where non-stop unlimited silver is being generated. it’s not just a high chance for 500-800 silver per mob. >>Number of necro bots * channels * maps > easy billions generated.

Please be more strict with BOTTING and RMT. You can only slow RMT down, if you base them on market they will just buy expensive gears or random valuable things in market and do direct 1:1 trades which can also be faked making it seem like a legit trade.

Please do stop this, what we want to happen is to help Staff out by giving out suggestions/solutions and insights on how to combat RMT/Botting. We all have varying ideals and principles while gaming, there is no Right or wrong, it’s a huge grey area. Stop fueling trolls.

Make this thread relevant with information not personal opinions of how you want “your game”
this is a game for everyone to enjoy.

well we are trying to convince people to participate in giving suggestions that’s related to anti-RMT rather than saying that focusing on anti-RMT is a bad idea ‘w’;;

but some people find it that by saying it’s a bad idea, they are contributing such suggestions. constructive criticism, as they say

of course it may rub peeps the wrong way ‘w’;;;
