Plans for Combat System Changes

@staff Fix the cast range, when u use skill over your cast range , you will walk weirdly and like a bird. (eg . cast hail further away from cast range , you will walk like a bird then only cast it )

It’s too early to say how strong anything will be. We have no idea on any of the specifics.

You said “Critical rate/resistance removed from basic stats”, so where critical rate/resistance will be after this combat update? This invalidate full critical builds, some players of community are worried about it. Can you explain to us? And explain why they got removed too?

I’m wondering it too… I have a full critical build.

I know what kind of player I am, your appreciation is like a fart in the wind. So, again, believe what you want, it’s none of my buisness.

Not just me bro, this is a GM created thread which I am sure they are looking at. What would possess you to come to this thread celebrating the fact that you RMT for your gears?

Scummy as hell.

No changes to bosses where addressed. This makes me concerned about classes which rely on magic circles to do damage, because there are bosses that dash/jump can move away from the circles. Which results in a DPS loss.

The class most affected by this is Elementalist, where the main source of damage is from magic circles(Hail and Frost Cloud). The same can be said for Pyromancers, but their main DPS are fireballs.

The solution would be more predictable boss moves, especially the dash/jumping ones. An example of a boss that is hard predict when it will dash is Red Lavenzard. It has no indication of when it will dash forward, it just executes the dash directly. To make it worse is that Red Lavanzard can dash again after a few seconds.

I hope the Combat System Change will bring changes to the bosses, not only monsters.

While there are bosses that jump around, there are ones that barely move.

Some classes are better at the former, others at the latter. I see no reason to change that.

So they need to buff green gem a lot, because I want my 100% full critical build. If not, I’ll drop this game.

Well, that’s the point, mention that this game is P2W, even as a hardcore player. There is no possible way to achieve orange stage 10 gear withouth throwing cash to the TP shop, and a lot. Why would I want to hide that? And it’s an investment, something you bought, because we´re talking about money here, and with all these changes, we’ll see if all those who spent money in this game get robbed or not. May all GM’s read this, for sure.

I am aware of the fact. I just wanted to mention it.

We will see what they do eventually.

Its about time dude. The point is that transcendence stage 10 takes a ton of time and is meant to be a lofty goal very very few people can achieve.

Stage 10 weapon being 550% with broken stats was literally the best option for all damage classes so there was a mad dash for guilds to have that one fat carry.

With this change, Transcendence will still be strong, but not worth spending all your time (or in your case, money) to get. It will return to being a nice goal, but not required for end-game. Also your work wont be undone by new gear since you can get all of your gems back.

This is a good thing, and anyone saying they will quit because of it needs their head examined!

It will still be insanely strong, check the second graph.

What they actually did was making the system more acessible/worth doing at lesser levels.

We’ll see, I have my doubts, to be honest. If all these changes are for good, great, if they end up being a rip off to those who invested in this game, well, there are means to claim refunds, etc. We, as customers, are obliged to act accordingly.

Take a look. It’s in a book. It’s Reading Raiiinboooow

I hope 2H weapons would still have a clear advantage vs 1H weapons or else there would be no sense picking them over 1H ones. Also, swell right arm for 2h weapons please.

Also, HP and SP regen should be adjusted. Either make it tick every 5 seconds or at least make it active while in combat.

All in the rainbooow

I like monsters running, it’s like they care about their lives and don’t want to die. :\

Attack Speed and Ping though.

The Skills Dex will work with need to be consistent and have an easily graspable logic. To me if you say Double Weapon Assault, Kneeling Shot,Bazooka, Hanging Shot, Burrow, or even Sadhu’s Out of Body will be affected by DEX ASPD increase then I definitely understand; If you’re talking for instance Seism, Cleave, Carter Stroke, etc at random then you’re just making things confusing.

Two other main things

  1. SPR and skills. Is this still going to be a thing or nah? Are we decoupling SPR from skills like Heal, Blessing and Stoneskin?

  2. Hidden mechanics like Divine Stigma + Out of Body, Feint + Barrage, Deprotected Zone + Hand Knife, etc are these going to be changed?

I do find it interesting for stats.
STR’s accuracy is the natural counter to DEX’s Evasion.
Dex having Block Penetration makes it the natural counter to CON’s block.
IF SP costs aren’t high then frankly SPR may still go unused.
