First of all, thanks IMC for the comprehensive change.
All these are the most fundamental issues ToS is having, after this I suppose IMC devs can focus on good contents and game engine optimization.
However, as Thaumaturge player these changes has a biggest impact on the total mechanics and viability.
- Swell Left/Right Arms scaling around INT, without the stat bonus the value will be deduced by a lot.
- Now INT/STR has higher efficiency on atk/matk, as well as weapons damage are scaled to higher base value, the current value is further obsoleted.
- Thaumaturge does not have damage skill or applicable for skill factor, how would the dev to change the formula of swell left arms and swell right arms and make them viable? Higher scale-able flat value? or fixed % base on current atk/matk?
- As said, do the buff will change to +atk% and +matk% base on scaling as well? and on which part of formula like chapparition card?
- Thaum C3 Swell Brain need some decent buff as well, have attribute to use 2H weapon on 1H slot? or +2 skill levels for wizard tree skills?
I’m gonna expect alot of skill changes since they changed dex to not having crit rate. Epee garde is what gears on this. They probably have to make it a hakka exclusive combo thing i guess.
In this game, a mix of both to accomplish a great character, hardcore player + RMT, yes, they made it like this. Don’t blame me for mentioning the truth, IMC proposed things this way.
How on earth could a player transcend everything to +10 without buying TP and selling tokens, costumes, etc? Impossible.
its not about skill changes. its not like they are going to give new skill to classes. they will just change the dmg formula. Hackapell is entirely build for missile stacks which is being removed
some changes look well enough, but SPR is still in a really bad position.
Edit: canceled the part on stat-accumalation as it seems that this system is getting removed.
About Transcendence: The change looks really nice actually, and 3 times the base values looks promising enough to consider investing the time to transcend it slowly over the course of months. It would’ve been better if it was changed towards a certain system where you transcend your characters abilities, e.g. learning special attributes for gems that increase e.g. the values of worn gears passively by a certain %, with prices and effects depending on the rarity of the equipment e.g., but well, at least it’s not so bad and counters RMTing.
What I don’t like is the changes to the monsters. I believe that there should be a difficulty rise when encountering stronger monsters, forcing the players to either grind more or band together. The difficulty of monsters also shouldn’t solely rely on their stats, as many Classes right now are simply having too many advantages in bringing them down easily nonetheless because they have so many useful/strong skills while others have basically none.
E.g. if a Doppelsoeldner goes berserk with his Cyclone on a horde of monsters, they could enter a blocking stance that blocks all incoming damage from Cyclone, forcing him to stand by a little a utilize e.g. stunning as soon the monster lets its guard down to be able to deal damage.
I really liked e.g. that some monsters raise a Safety Zone or heal themselves, but if their stats and HP get reduced in a manner that just makes them easier to kill, the problems of meta-building won’t be solved but strenghened:
He who has more skills/less CD wins even more easily while others just have a slightly less hard time.
About skill rebalancing:
I really hope that channeling skills get strenghened accordingly, especially if they cancel their channeling when getting hit, or that physical “channeling” with canceling will also get introduced[ e.g. getting hit during Cyclone or Rush will get you staggered and end the skill] to make the game more fair on the aspect of physical vs. magical damage.
the buff skill changes seem to be decent, but many buff skills already run with %stats in their calculations, and I don’t see a way how bad skills could become decent even with multipliers added to them.
There’s also the issue of pseudo-buffs like Sadhus Out of Body.
Will these kind of skills also recieve a considerable buff (i.e. some stat% enhancements by skilllevel e.g.), or will pseudo buffs always stay bad if they aren’t stemming from the Archer Class Branch? [compare towards Bazooka/Kneeling Shot e.g. that are already way too good compared to other buffs; if they also get % boni while other buffs/pseudo buff stay low-profile, the game will become Tree of Archers/Swordmen].
About item rebalancing:
I really hope that aside from rebalcing the blunt weaponry, an increase of gem slots for certain shields&daggers will also be considered (maybe only by appraisal via Appraiser Class?). It’s sad to see that there is a huge difference between Pistols and Daggers e.g., because Daggers can be used by ± every Class while Pistols are exclusive to Archers and Corsairs.
Conclusion: The game becomes more and more like RO; They just could’ve saved them many troubles by making another “RO”-like game from the beginning. So many years spent on a system that gets practically 100% revoked, ressources and lifetime(of the programmers&players) wasted.
gg, at least some desperate measures were taken shortly before the game would’ve collapsed. Still, I don’t feel that these basic things that should’ve been right from the beginning are argument enough to bring me[and lots of other players] back.
Seeing that ardurous grinding,daily tasks&limitations[e.g. Schroedingers Practonium Cube],bugs,meta and bots/RMT are still as before, the game will just get improved by another “7%”.

I highly doubt that you RMT with TP. If you do, then whatever you are investing in the game but I don’t believe you.

There’s still alot of questions to be answered so I guess making guesses isn’t the best idea.

I think they are referring to the hidden def weakened debuff that all missile attack from any archer class have.
Yeah I’m aware of this. Im just saying its just might change to be an arrow count thats exclusive to hakka only (it wont do anything but tell you arrow counts) so you know when you slash with skarp etc.
