Plans for Combat System Changes

They specifically address this, many skill damage formulas will be changed and the total damage will have more stat influence.

Jesus
It’s not specified anywhere where the critical rate will come from, neither if there will be any change on the formula, hence I’m asking, as per @Staff_Amy suggestion.

I really don’t get your point: am I not allowed to ask a question for something that isn’t explained?

Exactly the point of my question. They gave an incomplete picture and I hope some of the staff will enlighten us

basically you just panicking over a change that will not come here until 3 months+ that is unfinished right now, will go under heavy constant testing on the public test server, and you already thinking you will be useless? you cant even near to expect damage to stay the same with skills changing to % values, that alone will make a lot of early ranks skills way stronger, str/int efficiency is being increased and by that graph is not by little. this is just a preview, im pretty sure you still get crit rate from gems and equip and for the better i would rather have crit not be as big of a focus wich made a lot of classes so imba

No, I’m just asking a simple question over something that hasn’t been explained at all.

And I said “crit based builds” are going to be in the same vein as every other secondary stat builds like aoe defense, aoe offense, property attack and the like. I also offered that the current crit rate we get from gear doesn’t have to implicate a formula change given they told us one of the armor types will be overhauled offensively.

You said classes that relied on criticals will become useless. I refuted that preposition.
You said weapons make the difference (true) and put it on all a lack of prac. I stated because they (in this article) state they are adding more level appropriate gear, the need of prac is diminished as alternative gearing routes are created to challenge end-game content.

I’m not dismissing the desire for answers, only the presumptions attached to them. That and the Prac lust.
If you want to scale it all back down to just “I want to know about crit chance now that dex doesn’t provide it” so be it, I have no qualm.

The fun fact is that everyone is mostly talking about the Crit Rate/Chance on discord. There are things like “Fencer 3 will be useless”, “Crit Rate will be hard to get”, “Green Gems back to meta” and stuff. You’re not the single one, quite a lot of people are worried about this.

Any clarification @STAFF_Amy, @STAFF_Ethan, @STAFF_Yuri on how Crit Chance changes are planned would be awesome ><

you clearly didn’t played P2W game like age of wulin /wushu or rune of magic , player who Cashshop 1K€/USD(each month)isn’t “strange” , paying 500e for a T10weapon? nothing amazing ,

People gave you enough answers based on what we know.

Non crits will be stronger than before(hence strenght becoming stronger and removing the crit atk<- implies emphasis on consistent values)
Dex having Crit Attack is amazing, because of the Aspd bonus(more chances to crit in less time)
Crit Rate will be removed from Stats and Class bonus (that leaves level, gear, buffs and skills, not rocket science)

We don’t know what will come from gear, you don’t know what will come from gear.
I’m asking (and it seems you lack to understand that part) because we were not told about how to obtain a reliable critical rate.

My need of practonium is not diminished nor will diminish. Simply put, I would not waste time gemming a weapon that is not close to the best and, at the moment, orange practonium weapons are the most desired ones.
At least for me. You are free to disagree.

My question was directed at the staff, I even included tags.
I thought that this thread was intended to ask questions to the staff, like @Staff_Amy suggested.

I’m still wondering this as well. As of right now you have to sacrifice an alt prac to make a orange 315 weapon and once the weapon transcends, pretty much your alt is SOL.

The change is a big one, indeed. I don’t understand why they didn’t explain how they intend to balance the lack of critical chance from DEX, since achieving a good amount of it only from gear and gems (unless level 10 x 3 + sub) seems impossible.

I want to know 5 things:

  1. Are they going to remove fake multihits?
  2. Will falconer finally outdamage my hunter side?
  3. Will hunters be able to finally use their skills on grounds bosses?
  4. Will praise be good?
  5. Will roost be useful?

I fear the future and I want it for yesterday. Things are interesting and will dissappoint if we build high expectations because we’ll tailor our dream instead of what we’ll get.

Still, I dream of the day in which I’m useful in a party with my entire kit instead of just circling and aiming.

i still think people got way too obsessed with crit and need to realize that even if crit stayed the same we cant expect that the other changes (damage formula, skill factor, stat changes) wont affect other stuff. crit rate was removed from dex as it was just sooo overloaded, why spend points on str when i can go full dex and have a high chance of 50% more damage? they might aswell keep a base crit chance for everyone.

this changes are not small and we shouldnt focus on just crit. i just will wait for either an answer of them if there is changes at all to begin with for crit chance, or for kTest changes to be implemented this tuesday before speculating anymore of the “impending doom” of crit based jobs.

They’d have to nerf Crit anyways if they kept it attached.
With the remove of Skill damage.
STR/INT are only providing 40-20% damage based on trans 0 or 10. They said nothing about anvils so assume they’re unupgraded and ignore hats.

Currently Full dex crit rate ignoring anything else goes about 54-66% or so crit rate. Which is 27-33% more damage on average on 0 crit resist
For where they want offensive stats to be relative to weapons. Crit chance from dex would have to drop and evasion would still make it a better stat overall.

When Ktest comes out I want to kThe value of the ASPD, Crit attack from Dex and how much summon damage SPR gives.

The charts as I understand them are presuming STR/INT.

Since Dex gives ASPD and Crit attack. What is its value relative to Trans for Skill and AA damage. Logically given its for AA’s it should be fairly lackluster for skill damage unless the crit attack value is significantly high. So will Dex be best for AA’s, equivalent to STR for AA’s or worse than AA’s than STR since it gives evasion.

I would love to know that too. But seems rush dog will become a bit stronger. and roos
 well ill ignore that.

That’s the problem, your question is ignoring part of the info already provided.

They will remove the penalty on Crit Chance from leveling along with the DEX.

Players Lose Crit Rate provided by DEX
Players Gain Crit Chance from not needing as much Crit Rate as before because monsters Crit Resist and player lvl lowering chance are lowered/removed

Read and reread the entire post before asking, your questions will be faulty if you ignore information that pertains to it.

Also keep in mind that while actual crit chance may end lower than before, monster HP will be lowered aswell. All these classes can lose crits and yet still do more damage than before the change.

kk eae men

DO NOT put evasion and accuracy on the same stat
