PK System for TOS?

did u just killed urself? :v

PK is fun bruh, mmorpg’s is fun if theres a good and bad side. :3

we are all saviors in TOS but. hey. maybe lets call it “fallen saviors”. :v

nah, for me it’s better if they would just add more pvp maps and a pvp duel system. With Duel system, like in other games… two players can go pvp mode without changing the map or entering a queue or something. It’s surely be fun coz people around can watch and cheer up for you lol.

oh yeah. i forgot.

PVP everywhere should be available too. T.T something like the official pvp where theres a map for it is ranked while duel in everywhere is for fun only. :3

PvP is quite fun and I loved GvG in iRO but though there are some qualities that make challenging another “critical thinker” instead of a “mindless ai” more fun I don’t think it is for everyone. In my opinion, the reason why most “mmorpgs” took out PK is because it gives birth to a little toxic community. (Ex. People camping areas & killing newbie players, stealing items, etc.) Going through MOBA or FPS… those games can get really competitive and even personal that it breeds negative emotions/attitudes that I don’t think are fun at all. I think it’s best they keep this games system strictly arena PvP or castle siege GvG.

Makes me wonder if all the PK supporters in mild games like ToS have a bullying complex.

Continuing the discussion from PK System for TOS?:

I think they have (poor soul)

Try reading the other thread and try to read what cosx774 said and his reason for PK

Eh, I avoided that thread completely… It sounded like a thread an angry 14 year old would create:

Can’t stand crowds? Just F*CKING KILL THEM ALLLLLLL!!!

THAT’S MY FINAL SOLUTION.

Meanwhile ToS developers finalizes dynamic channel creation to solve overcrowding automatically.

P/S: Can’t stand other people? Try a single player games, Many are fantastic.

i personally never played a server with PK system … but i don’t get why people refuse this idea … if it’s a separated channel then what’s the problem ? you will have 4-5 normal channels and 1 with pk system … if you don’t like it then leave it

his reasons are completely different from mine.

all i want is if u r strong enough, u can take advantage by going to pk-channel. which makes farming easier. its that simple. if u dont want pk, then dont enter the pk-channel. simple right? zzz

Because it doesn’t fit the audience of ToS. Want a real hardcore PK game? Try Eve Online - where years of effort could be wiped out in an instant, because of a small mistake.

And no one was mad (I hope) because everyone knew when you are logging in would eventually happen - and that was the fun.

Also if you just wanna PK all day, try Mobas like league of legend… you can PK till your hearts content.

simple, dont enter the fudging pk-channel! :v

Hurr durr I want PK cuz muh ded game had it.

Nah I’m okay with just arenas and GvG, sounds like a waste of time.

No no, that’s not how it works. PvP isn’t restricted to games where PvP is a core aspect of the game itself. We’re not talking about a fully-integrated PvP with Penalty systems, PvP-focused gears, Bounty Rewards system, etc… This is a simple “1 channel with PvP enabled”, the end. There are no good arguments at all that can be used to oppose this other than the “Adds more toxicity to the forums” which barely holds any weight, since there’s already a PvP Arena system implemented in the game and GvG (Whether the G stands for Group or Guild) planned for the future.

All in favor? \o

You can’t really use that as an argument, who are you to say what the audience of ToS is? That’s really all down to opinion and whatever people want to make it into. Also disregarding an entire community of gamers and telling them to go play another game is pretty bad business.

I read long long time a go on imcGAMES official blog that they won’t implement PK system.

Ofc they won’t, 95% of all players will cry so much with PK in game.

Just to be clear, RO didn’t have a PK system as most people would think of it, only a PvP arena and GvG. There were no maps where you could be player killed, and no items dropped (apart from skulls). Only private servers did that.

I think it’s a matter of how difficult getting gear is, as to whether gear should drop on a PK server, and also how hard in general it is to level. I don’t think it would work for ToS at the moment, as at any level, there is only 1 levelling spot. We all know at level 30-40, you should be at Tenet Garden, and at level 40-55, Veja Ravine. Because of this, everyone knows where everyone else is going to be at certain levels… So it kind of destroys the purpose of PKing until the very end game, when field bosses are a bit more of a thing, and everything isn’t so… predictable or exploitable.

(Seriously, on a PK server, just send a level 100 to sit in Tenet garden and no one will get beyond level 30 without a real struggle…)

… oh really?

http://irowiki.org/wiki/PK_Servers

Experience and Drop Rates
On a PK server the experience and drop rates are modified from that of a regular server. Base Experience and Job Experience gained is doubled that of a regular server. Drops are increased by 1.5 times.

Who Can PK?
Not all characters can fight other characters. Players can only be attacked or attack other players once they hit level 61, or change to second class, whichever comes first.

I didn’t know most of you guys played on kRO.

http://irowiki.org/wiki/Servers

iRO does not offer PK servers. However, one can choose to engage in PVP activities within the PVP arenas, and also participate in weekly guild PVP battles in War of Emperium and War of Emperium 2.

Besides what you linked doesn’t match up to what anyone here has been describing. You guys were describing PvP maps not PK servers.

Edit; not to mention the ruleset under the PK Server section is already far more thought out and detailed than any of the half baked ideas that have been spewed on the forum.
