[Oracle - Change] I'm not saying this is a solution, but it sure was fun!

Today I decided to dedicate the better half of my morning to killing bots. I went to Dina Bee Farm CH4 (where I found a lot of geared bots) and decided I’d do it there, and I did. I lost track of the time and it also put to light one very simple way to “spot a bot and confirm if it is one”. Just leave a non-aggressive monster in its path and it will surely come back, again and again to die from it. Give it like, say, 3~5 mins tops and you have proof that someone’s using a 3PP. No “active” player would do the same thing again and again (unless they’re insane then Einstein supports this) without complaining once.

Anyway, here are some screenies (I took videos too but the dump file size was  beyond me. Oh and in case you’re curious as to why I have 14 points unspent, that’s on the Priest tree, I’m waiting on the “Blessing” change (if it will happen).

NONE OF THESE MOBS ARE AGGRESSIVE.

The first MVP and its victim (on approach).

The rest... - WARNING 65 IMAGES in 1920x1080

Finally got around to uploading one of the videos. Here’s a great example of obvious bots being obvious (they’re still there to this day). Oh and lastly, bots jump, a lot, especially when they’re near walls/map edges. So best way to really know is to talk to a person or observe their actions.

i love the concept of oracle.

i hope Oracle 3 is awesome.

Preliminary data suggest we’re getting the “Monster Summon” skill again and also “Gender Change?”. Oh and also, here’s a person that’s part of the problem…

Then they proceeded to massacre the mobs we’ve laid out under this premise. Literally an entire guild came to the rescue of 2~3 bots.

What a fascinating turn of events…
Maybe we should call out members from the staff to ask if any meassure sould be aplied to Bot Protectors?

Ofc when I called them out for their BS, they told me I was “too sour” (w/e that meant) and then proceeded to spam me with Duel Requests as most of these morons do.

Obviously they own those bots. If I were you, I’d make a support ticket with the bots in the screenshot and also give those player names to the staff so they can IP trace both the bots and the players and check if the IPs match.

If they match, they can get both banned.

Congratulations, your thread contains 68 pictures of pure beauty. So beautiful that I can’t even…

I have an Oracle character on the way and I plan on doing bot hunts in Silute.

Let those botters burn in hell.

This is a mistake on my part, I didn’t bother to screen cap the bot (it was a pretty standard “vvagagagsad” kind of name). I was not expecting something like a guild (or several members) to show up just to obviously help the bots and even go as far as to state that “THEY NEED IT FOR MITHRILS”. Just WOW.

@Anarth
Thanks, I really just wanted to share my experience with “Change”, that was the point, I know somewhere here is a thread that actually suggested doing this. I just gave it a go, I wasn’t planning to further it. You’d think bot owners would be a little more discrete right? :stuck_out_tongue:

@DiMeowgio

What level is your Change skill? How often do you get a monster that has a higher level than the one you changed?

I had plans on leaving the skill at level 1 , but since I want my future Oracle to be a for fun character and as a way of releasing my sadist side in a healthy way I’m thinking on getting it to lv10, since I’m going for Oracle 2…what do you think?

The first of the 2 screenshots is everything you need. One says “we need bots for mithrils”.

I have it at Lv1 currently, I will be going Oracle 2 and then eventually 3, despite any bad/good synergy that may pose. As this is also a char I made for the exact same reason. I’d say reasonably, I’ll have a good mob (one that’s an MVP) within the first 5 uses, so roughly 3mins :stuck_out_tongue: Sometimes I get the equivalent of Talt though. I suggest you have the add-on for monster info so you can easily tell w/c of your mobs have “changed” into a dungeon version. Their HP is normally in the 100s of thousands.

I’d likely leave it at Lv5 at the lowest, just to get efficiency in experience if I’m ever going to use it for myself (w/c I probably would since I’ll go all out until R8).

Thank you for the information.

Oracle police squad ftw.

Good job. My oracle will soon join you in your fight.
And let’s start screencapping those idiots.

Added a video for funsies, just so you can feel the “justice” in action. :joy:

Love some oracle taskforce action

I surely hope you have filed a bot report against at least juckoon who says the need the bots… The bare minimum of action would be a temporary suspension for all those who protected the bots until the actual bot owner is found ant permanently banned.

I really want to join your O.B.P.D ( Oracle Bot Police Department )

Really do…
But unfortunately im a pvp player and i chose druid for duel telepath…

But for sure you have my support for killing those fvcking bot…
Please do more killing the bot… May be i will hold a concert to raise a fund against bot

If they, @STAFF_Max @STAFF_Amy @STAFF_Ethan @STAFF_John @STAFF_Ines @Staff_Julie, cant do anything, and choose to just sit there and relax enjoying the money… (Shame on them) then at least you @DiMeowgio do really great job for the balance of the game…

Lol

Really nice job… I cant stop admiring those screenies and vid

I’ve done this for a bit and I find that the best areas to target bots are in places where items are hard to get but need to be farmed. Mithril ores being one of them as I find that these tend to be protected more often than not.

Gold bots are content on just staying in one area grinding continuously in which continuous reports over 3 days tends to get the job done.
