the answer would be “rework”
I did say “it’s worth looking into, after all the other major issues have been addressed”. I still believe that at some point IMC might do something about it in between the major fixes/tweaks for the core game.
It’s nice to see people are still here, actively trying to provide feedback and quite frankly even if it’s not the best solution (if it was at all) at least people are trying?
That’s correct I’m talking about the afkers. There are players that wont cross the line to bots. But are fine in the grey area of afk farming with minions.
It is the actual title after all…
(Granted, I understand that “bots” are technically AFK-farmers, but I knew you were referring to the more blatant and grey-area ones)
I agree.
Just the bots’ ability to crash you or any channel any time they want reaaaaaaaally concerns me lol … To the point everything else seems pretty trivial (except lag).
Im not sure if you had any of such experiences with bots. It happens a lot to people actively trying (or have tried) to impede them (oracles, cryo, wispering, dueling, etc…)
Spawn lots of high lv mobs on the map? they crash the channel
Grim reaper spawns? crash the channel
Push them around? Go right back/ crash you
Wisper spam them? Crash you
Duel them? Accept and 1-shots you then Crash you
Keep doing it? Crash you for up to half an hour
These are REAL experiences X___X
I’ve seen the channel crashing happen only a couple of times in Fedimian CH1 and in Klaipeda CH1. It’s pretty disruptive, I paid no attention to it though until the over-ups accusations started going wild.
Oh I’ve had bot run-ins… 3PP users too, as well as their masters (or at least bodyguards).
Couple more videos and screenshots that I’ve sent to IMC directly on non-public reports (tickets). I’m actually an Oracle
I’ve been at it for a very long time, I’m quite tired actually (the abusers don’t care / IMC makes me feel like they don’t have time for it) and I feel like I’ve wasted my time as well… Pretty soon, everyone will just be burned out and stop caring about taking matters into their own hands.
How exactly do you manage to get into it with so many hackers? Is this more or a problem on certain servers?
You havent experience a character crash lockdown? must try harder lol
Maybe bots here in Klapedia are more aggressive 0_0
@DeliciousCroissant Not sure what you meant by get into it? Why im still playing maybe? Ive been playing since it started lol (when bee farm was open and not many bots were > lv 50)
Also if youre well established as I am, youll know many many ways to make silver : P
Not to my knowledge no. After I get disconnected from a crashed channel, I realize that it’s missing from the channel list when I log back in so that’s why I knew that it crashed.
It’s a full time commitment to bot-kill using an Oracle, normally 4~6 hours. You can’t really half-ass it. After their masters realize this, they come with their main/high level characters to sweep up the place.
It’s fun for a while until you realize that you’ve essentially wasted your time and pretty much none of theirs (the bots/abusers).
Those sound like old model bots lol. Here they just crash you then crash the channel xD
Them crashing me (channel is completely fine)
Bot leeching 2 clone bot
I think both are now in play.
The people who still use a 3PP to bot and then just monitor it (like in RO days, I’ve seen it rampant). My 2nd link is a recent example (just a few days ago).
Then we have the next level people using a 3PP to just f*ck you up directly. My 3rd link is a recent example of attack speed hackers (not really channel crashing but still hacking).
too much additional feature for some nuisance that can easily ignored. I never had any problems with afk players.
Actually those leecher bots were around lv 150 when i took the screenshot, now… they are mature bots rummaging around bee farm QQ
(both lv 170+ now, wizpyro2thaumscorc build)
They arent even for monitoring lol, bots are making more bots cause there is NO consequence.
You misunderstood me, again… I meant “monitor” like they have a person or someone actually looking at it. The old RO bot was a DOS-based program that had a simple interface that allowed you to see what’s going on and also alerts you if your bot is not performing well (openKore was the name if I remember correctly).
We’re making different points lol, but yeah, I get that they’re making bots to go with their bots.
It used to be like this though (taken back in June 2):
That’s 5 bots, in full support of each other, walking, moving, attacking in unison. All properly named and botting at obscure/unpopular maps.
I have a video of course, that’s been sent to IMC.
It should just log you out after set period of inactivity.
My bad, all I really know and care about now are
- IMC is not effectively banning bots
- Due to 1, bots are multiplying faster and faster.
- Also due to 1, bots are testing new waters to see how far they can take their exploits… to the point where they openly talk about it on the forums lol
They pick A1-QS1 because they need ‘atleast rank 2’ to use team storage. <-which also imply they have token. It doesnt really have to be QS1 but they pick QS1 because QS1 can pick stones which they can then put onto the market for sale…genius. They just have to ‘sell stones’ to transfer their silver across accounts.
Solution:
Dina bee open pvp for every not doing quest.
Afk farmers should be treated like bots and get banned. Then they would stop.
I’ve seen the same bots running around me at bee farm for months. The whole community over there has collectively reported them on a daily basis for over a hundred days. Enforcement is 0. There’s no hope.
