My decision to finally make an Archer was right

I normally don’t make threads about random/stupid stuff, but this was comedy gold.

TL;DR:
The man reacted like I was harming his livelihood!
Archer is the best class for absolute e-thuggin’.

So here’s how it went, I’m on my Lv33 A1-Q1 that I finally decided to level up. I was in Srautas Gorge - Nepavasy Grassland (where Cafrisun spawns). I was just minding my own business, killing mobs (for my quest) as I am in the correct map/level range. Then this random Sorc (Lv120+ with his Templeshooter out) told me to “go somewhere else / spot is taken”. When I responded: “I don’t see your name on it and I can do whatever I want”, he replied: “Okay, you asked for it”, then re-logged to his/her Cannoneer and attempted to “limit” my kills.

I was given a threat about Dina Bee? FFS! Dina $#! Bee? The last time I was there I cleaned up bots. How dumb is it to assume that a) you can find me anytime anywhere and b) that I’ll even remotely touch those “grinding” maps these idiots flock to for EXP when the game has alternatives?

After that exchange, which he said I’ll lose, he was nowhere to be found.

Essentially losing to his own self-made endurance race.

While neither of you were being nice language, the mere fact he feels the need to use templeshooter to kill cafrisun is what concerns me. IIRC, nothing else noteworthy spawns there right?

I think I ran into one of this guy’s relatives or an alt a few weeks back in one of the open dungeons. Cussed me out for clearing out one end of a hallway b/c he was camping the other end and apparently the whole map.

I just love how high level people think they can “mark their territory” while you are leveling and minding your own bussiness. Happens to me a lot. So many people complaining about how ToS lose players, I think half of the credits go to these people besides bugs and stuff.

I’m 100% not hiding my language, nor his, or his name or mine for that matter. This is just… WOW! Is it because of the 30min spawn timer that people feel like they have to “own the place”, I’m wearing +10 Cafrisun Set already (a quick inspect would validate this), just wanting to kill mobs (the mob density was nice there and this was the channel I was randomly dropped on) and I’m greeted by: “Hey! GTFO, I peed here and rubbed my body around so this is my spot…”. Then proceeding to defend it like it was a god-d*mn source of livelihood.

I only intended to kill the mobs then move on as I was merely questing.
I was told to wait and see what would happen if I didn’t leave, so I didn’t.

XD I’m not saying you’re a bad player, or a bad person because of your response to them. They were being rude. I would have said something smart to them myself.

It doesn’t matter if you WERE rude to him, there’s no “camping” rule in this game. Let alone on the regular mobs. You didn’t do anything wrong and you don’t have to be nice to other players especially when they are being annoying.

Sorry if it came off as if I was trying to say you should be, I was just commenting on the language used.

TL;DR: I defamed this person (Kupole) that’s for sure, but I really could not resist the urge to a) Give a smart-aleck response to him and b) Let everyone know how it went!
