Gotta ready WTast/VPN in case they won’t lift the IP block from our country.
I know that it is against the policy, but it is my win if I’m able to play with my friends from other country. I wouldn’t give a fck if I got banned, I will just try to create new account, play from scratch, just for the sake of playing with friends from other countries.
@Erokhi , sorry … have just seen these thread, and also have just shared it…
could you add more details about their (our local publisher) data comparison for similar game ? just like Taiwan gamers did,
OR you can share about their game that have been dumped, from year into what year.
at least we have the data, not just perception or opinion,
haven’t played or even login to their (local) publisher game for long time, let check again,
it is not only us (Indonesian gamer) who have dissapointed by our own (appointed) local publisher…
you can also check at [救世主之樹 Tree of Savior][1]

@BKNGMR, since when developer can fully monitor publisher outside their own company ?
remember Brazil and Philipines with their “Lvl *p” ?,
Thanks for your suggestions archtorii.
In other words, you want me to show some proofs rather than make some accusations.
But I don’t thik that will be required. Most of people who visited this thread has shared some of their bad experiences. Not only at this thread, there are also many Steam users who voiced the exact same opinions in my letter there.
I still respect the local publishers no matter how bad they are, so I don’t want to tarnish their name further by blatantly screaming about their A B C D bad points. The purpose of this thread is to plead IMCGames for no IP block, not to destroy the local publisher’s reputation (because I agree that not all of our local publishers are that bad, at least not all of them).
I don’t recommand you to pay for WTF*. Firsty, their service is terrible, secondly you can rent a VPS and setup a VPN on it for half the price.
Well, as far as I know. There should be a representative from the developer who keep in contact with the publisher. Do the monitoring from their side is also one of this representative’s job description. Since both the developer and the publisher is Korean, so it should be easier for them to communicate. So, yeah, they could still monitor the game.
I also agree with the statistic things. We’re talking with a nation who really is into details here. They really like numbers, with numbers our requests would be more convincing.
Just a heads up, is this page available to all?
http://www.gemscool.com/landingpage/teaser2/1
From the U.S.A and other countries that are not Indonesia, the page does not connect. Does that mean that Gemscool has already IP blocked users outside of Indonesia?
This would be bad news.
Hmm, it doesnt seem to load for me. (Australia)
Did a check over 80 countries:
http://www.host-tracker.com/InstantCheck/ResultComplete/2dbde3c6-c61f-e511-80c3-0003ff730224
Not a single one was able to connect.
Probably Gemscool has already IP blocked outsiders, but that doesn’t mean that IMCGames has IP blocked us. Besides that, based on my experiences, most of MMOs in Indonesia couldn’t be accessed from outsiders either.
So that’s why I couldn’t load the website, lol.
Lag should be the only restriction. Once Indo players get a local server you will migrate to that one for sure.
If it’s indeed only about lag, then it’s no problem for Indonesia in the first place. Because if they block Indonesia because of ping/latency, then the majority of SEA going to be blocked too. Unless IMC through steam stated that the server will only covers US/EU, which is nothing near the term “International”.
Back then, I kept playing Dragon Nest SEA server, even though some company release the local server, and the same with Eden Eternal, I still play it on the global server (Aeria). I just can’t stand the foul mouth of the raging 5 years old in our local server. I think the only reason Indonesian gathered here, playing local server is, IP Block.
I know the feeling, my country have some bad publishers too. They are too greedy and most of the players here boycott whatever games they publish. I really wish they won’t end up publishing TOS in my country. I’m already fine with the international server. Goodluck to you!
well i’m okay with those publisher and never had a problem before, but i think playing with anyone around the world is much fun and of course i hope IMCGames doesn’t block any IP from here
fix guys, ip block will apply too in indonesian …
Seriously like the dude said, let us choose where we play. Yeah we knew that marketing, of course there’ll be IP block (most of the time). But seriously if you’re talking about high ping etc, nah. It’s not like ToS is the only one international game that I played. Let them choose, if you got s*ck connection then go play local and the other way. But well it’s up to you, just think about it.
Indonesian player here who plays Dragon Nest since it’s lvl 24 cap on CherryCredits.
Having a good time, found a good guild, until one day my guild “died” for real life career reasons.
Decided to leave my lvl 60 (on cap at that time) adept at that time to try replay the game by the local publisher in Indonesia.
Never enjoyed Dragon Nest again after that being the events mostly money based at that time, + there are always children ranting nonsense in world chat. Retired at lvl 40.
These days i heard they’re giving away premium rare cash items as some event prizes to hook in new players. Those freemiums however in my personal opinion would very hurt those who spend extra money to get those items with cash and luck before, and made me think twice before spending money to get rare collectibles since i might get it for free sometime later.
Yea. My hype for ToS might die if i must play it by that very same local publisher.
Thumbs up to Erokhi for taking the time to write this letter. Count me in as one of those “Indonesian players who want to play on the international server.”
Correct me if i wrong, i heard that indonesian local publisher will buy this game and publish it, but if steam buy it, we can play it globally? or IP block affect the Steam’s TOS and the Korean TOS?
Indonesia will get IP blocked from global server for business purpose & contract.
so steam shall abide to that rule i said earlier?
