I don’t know as I’m not Gabe Newell lol
I’m sure that IMCGames has told Steam to intentionally block Indonesian IP from global server. The same goes for Japan and Korean. They won’t be able to play at Steam as they already have their own publishers.
thx for the information ^^ , i wish steam wont do that, as far as i know, local publisher that will publish this game isn’t that credible…
FYI, the IP block policy has been implemented on the 2nd CBT.
ow that IP block already implemented on 2nd CBT? my hope getting crushed dude hahaha, time for VPN i guess? ahhahaa
Hey, it’s not that bad right? Look what happened to Dragon Nest ID-- super neat.
Let’s see what we can do with VPN.
exactly. that bloody darned publisher, Gsl, had a really bad rep. Lazy, trolling and unprofessional GMs, the game will be littered by cheaters, bots and gold sellers without any help from the publisher. Many would not dare to spell its name for it is foul and tainted. Please, IMC, just unblock the IP to save yourself from shooting yourself in the foot.
pls make us play on steam
indonesian fans
“SEA Server” more like “SEA without Indonesia Server”
how many fingers you have ? lol
GG INDO BLOCKED
DAMN THAT GEMSCOO* << (INDONESIAN GAMING COMPANY)
Me and my friends (9 ppls) already bought this game
We are so happy knowing that we can play in SEA server
But they blocked it now, our money gone
But we still wont play in local server
Cause the gaming company that owns TOS in Indonesia got so bad reputation in taking care of their games and community.
and… why steam didnt block us earlier ?
they made us buy exclusive pack then block ?
Sorry I’m using the Indonsia language to prove that I was right from Indonesia … so… .
“Saya mewakili para gamers indonesia sangat kecewa dengan adanya IP Block pada sebuah game online… kenapa “menurut pendapat pribadi saya” publisher game online lokal tidak lebih baik dari internasional (gamers Indo pasti tau yang saya maksudkan)…”
“thx”
So discuss about this, "IMC, is by blocking all IP from indonesia what you mean by your so called “maintenance” ". Looking at it, you’ve had this “maintenance” 12-24 hours before the CBT 2 of Indonesia’s “Gemschit” server. I’ve played this game only for a week, two weeks max. And by the looks of it, that is the maximum amount of playtime I will get even when I’ve bought the game from steam. That’s still income to you. Sure, Indonesia’s server will be better ping for us, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we will have a better time playing the game. Whats the fun of a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) when all you see are people in your own country. Might as well make it a LAN where we all play with just the people in our respected internet cafes. I mean, Growing up I’ve learnt most my English from Games, Online games too! And now, from regretting being a gamer, I’ve decided that it was a smart choice to be into games. Not only benefitting from interaction between players from all around the globe, but also from the NPC’s and from the in-game Storyline. (Thank you Final Fantasy VII, Harvest Moon, Ragnarok and many more) Sighs
Anyways… what comes to mind is that you’ve made a deal to Indonesia’s “Gemschit” So they find bugs and bots and cheats you’ve never seen before in your entire lives in your steam servers. And you don’t want the economy of the game (in steam) to collapse, so you intend for the economy collapse in Indonesian Server to be “okay” just so you can fix the bot/bug/hack/glitch/cheat in your own servers before it creates a “tilt” in your economy. Yes, we have quite bad reputation as gamers, but most of us just want to play in a system where it isn’t corrupt, broken and unfixable. However, many of us are good players, and we report a lot of issues in-game, bugs to fix, and we also can easily spot “cheaters” lets say, and wouldn’t mind spending cash, but more so we are dedicated gamers who will put a lot of time into your game. Coming from our perspective, many people will play the “Gemsc**hit*” server anyway as it will have a much faster ping and has much more advantages for players as there is no language barrier, but what we just do not want you to ban is our IP’s unless you’ve got a “just” reason to do so, I mean if lets say we’ve commited bot/bug/hack/misusing glitch/cheat then yes it’s your right to ban our IP. If not, then let us play. Let us play with the horrible latency thats just bad luck for us, but please let us be part of a bigger community than just the one we’re stuck with and have to deal with.
Anyone wondering how VPN works, Is it Free? Does it make me lag? Well first things first. Don’t proxy yourself in South America if the servers you will end up reaching is hmmm… in Japan or vice versa. If so, YES you will lag hard. 200+ ping for distances from South East Asia to Europe. so just imagine South America to Japan (So the trick is; the closer, the better) I’ve managed to find a free VPN that is accessible for everyone. Remember it is not Illegal if you do not misuse it. VPN can (doesn’t mean you should) be used to find many encrypted documents from the government. As to why you are wondering why it “could” be an illegal program. But if you want to play a game cause you’ve paid for it and you dislike the corrupt economy that your private servers are giving you. Why should you be afraid? For the sole purpose of accessing a Restricted Game, due to the unrestricted private server game being unlawful, filled with toxic players, and probably also with a tilted economy.

To see my 10 easy steps to accessing steam ToS servers now. please see my image uploaded on imgur. http://imgur.com/p4a1brf
Sigh. First, to address the issue with the people who felt they were scammed by IMC.
To be completely fair, the blame lies on Steam for not being able to properly uphold their end of the agreements with IMC.
IMC had signed a contract with Gems, yes. ( I’ll address this again later. )
And Gems most likely added an IP-blocking term for the International server, which IMC agreed to, not knowing the fact that it’s a wrong move.
But what’s done is done, what’s signed is signed.
The issue with the " Founder’s Pack scam" is Steam’s fault.
Steam only blocked Indonesian players from ‘finding’ the game on its store and site.
It didn’t block the download of it.
It didn’t prevent Indon players to connect to the game servers.
Steam listed Indonesia as one of the countries to be able to play it.
Steam allowed Indonesian-based IP to receive the Pack.
Which is why a lot, and I mean A LOT ( yes, we Indons are rather sly ) of Indons bypassed this and managed to properly trade money for the Pack.
Did Steam mess things up ? Yes, for IMC and for Indons.
Are we, Indons, breaking the rules ? Yes.
" Why are we breaking any rules, we payed for it ! "
Well, because if you READ the news, announcements, OR read the terms of agreement provided, you’ll see Indons are NOT supposed to play in the International server.
Customer’s protection law won’t protect us ( Indons ) because we already violated their rules of trade to begin with.
They said " No, Indons are not allowed to buy nor own. "
We said " damn it all, I can find other ways to buy/own it. "
And now Indons are crying because they basically found a backdoor and IMC finally locked that backdoor ? Pathetic. I’m ashamed of my fellow Indons.
If you want anyone to blame or ask your refunds to, go to Steam.
Go rage on Steam. They’re the original fault. The original sin, to exaggerate a bit.
Now don’t be a bigger baby and cry " What about the time I invested in the game ?? Grinding all those hours day after day ?? "
Oh, you mean all those times you illegally owned a game you’re not supposed to ? Just because you bought it, doesn’t mean it’s automatically legal, you know.
By that same logic, it would be legal to own and use drugs as long as we pay for it. But it’s not, is it ?
For the issue that’s more concerned about
" What I care about is not the scam nor the money spent. I just want ToS to be enjoyable for Indonesians too, because our local publishers suck. "
Well, this is a much tougher case.
I can safely assume that IMC had no idea that we simply hate Gems
( and most other local publishers. In fact, I can’t name a single one I don’t despise ) so much, that we wouldn’t play on Gems’ server anyway.
IMC is not to blame. The contract has already been signed.
You can’ un-sign it. You can only forcefully break it.
If you claim to love ToS so much that you’re pushing IMC to break one of the terms of agreement in the contract with Gems, maybe you can pay for the punishment fee that IMC would have to pay for it to be able to disregard the contract with Gems and lift the IP ban.
Start a freakin kickst*rter or something maybe ? Up to you.
This is a fellow Indonesian speaking, and I would love to be able to enjoy ToS too.
But I am a rational person who understands what IMC has to go through to actually make it work for me, and us Indonesians who wants to play on the Inter server.
And such is why, I won’t be a baby and cry on the forums.
I would rather flame my own countryman for being hideously foolish to be putting the blame on you, IMC.
But I won’t despair just yet.
I’m still holding to an inkling of hope that something can be done…
But not if we’re still messed up like this.
Foolish Indons need to straighten up ourselves and start thinking clearly if we want to make something positive happen.
And that’s not crying in the ToS forums about how despicable it is.
But actually realizing the problems with the legality issues,
and what I said before. Possibly collecting fee to cover up for the amount (or at least a part of it…) that IMC has to cough up in case it decides to break the contract with Gems.
If all iToS lover from Indonesia gather, I believe something can be done.
Cheers.
Sadarlah wahai kalian rekan-rekan ku yang kurang terpelajar :’)
Jangan asal nangis doank weh.
Pikirin itu solusi, bukan nangis ke dev doank !
Jangan nangis mereka melanggar hak kita dulu,
kita sudah melanggar punya mereka duluan !
Gems won’t break the contract, the money coming in Gems server will be rolling for at least the first 2 years. So please…try Kickstarter your fellow 1000-10000 Indonesians and make up the money that Gems will earn with our IP-ban being on steam servers. You should realise that a kickstarter is probably gonna end up nowhere, yes money does own the world. and EVEN “IF” 5000 people are willing to pay 10$ (Quite a lot won’t you say) it wouldn’t outweigh the revenue IMC is getting from GEMS in their contract. I will donate 20$ if someone does make a kickstarter (to kickstart what exactly?..) And the kickstarter dudes will end up with 50000$ and nothing happens, no changes. I say the only way is to still be on Steam Servers even when we’re IP-banned show them that we don’t give two shifts about local corrupt full of cowdung servers. And we’re willing to go to the lengths. Its that, or make a petition; boycotting gems servers. No one playing means, contract will end earlier. No one is willing to wait for the contract to end (will be years, maybe even a decade), or just unbanning our IP and breaking the deal slightly between IMC and GEMS… (Unbanning Indonesian IP for… maybe decrease in the payment GEMS is giving IMC, or IMC gets full profit of the product whatever suits them better, heck I know)
Btw to outpay IMC is just hella outofthe question ma 'rational" man.
i hope dev really implement on blocking ip for indonesian
my friend using good vpn ( he pay for it ) in game ping still around 300 with 5mbps speed for personal usage, how about a netcafe with free vpn? disaster
enjoy our local contents
Hey DonRidwano, how about a whole netcafe buying tree of savior founders access to realize we will get IP banned afterwards. Btw free VPN on a netcafe didn’t affect our internet connection at all. We are managing to play with 40-120 FPS and netcafe users who play other games don’t get affected by it, not so much at least. Unless they play local servers when computers still in contact with VPN. then they are lagging hard hahahaha but that just demands us players who use VPN to turn it off and on, and make it a rule. Hows Gems server working for you? I haven’t seen it yet, but I hope you don’t get dissapointed by the soon to be P2W system in our local contents. If you manage to derail from your path and wondering how to connect to Steam ToS SEA server, I’ve given a link last time, and here it is I give it to you again.
Enjoy your day! DonRidwano
As a Lithuanian who currently resides in Indonesia, let’s just say I am more than disappointed. I won’t be able to play with my friends. I won’t be able to play even since I can’t speak Indonesian to the level of playing game comfortably. It’s selfish and inconsiderate to provide only crappy service for specific group of people when there’s much better option out there. So much for finding out how they used my culture in this game…
Why we should play on that corrupt company? Trust me, it’s just kids who play there. Later they close it because less profit (again trust me they will make p2w items/services just to they can gain sht). And here now there’s a SEA server on steam, and we’re not allowed to play there? Are we even in SEA region? Take a look on DN, there’s DN SEA and INA. Both are fine, there’s still profit there. Why don’t you take that as example? Which side you trust more? The players or the company? Stop pretend to be blind, if you’re planning to open a SEA server in the first place you shouldn’t sell the right to that company. This is just fcked up.
