Magic should be dodgable

You know, there is something called “block”, so
Magic - Dodgeable, Unblockable, No crits
Physical - Dodgeable, Blockable, Crits
is clearly balanced.

You think STR and CON is the only thing needed for swordsman and archers? Without DEX they would: (1) miss a lot, (2) won’t have any dodge at all against fellow swordies and archers. Whilst a wizard only needs pure CON, for BOTH PVE and PVP. You can get your magic attack from upgraded weapons.

And Wizards do have a lot of CC moves, add their range and they’re basically untouchable. Go Wizard3 and you solve your problem of being interrupted and long cast times with Surespell and Quick cast. And you know what’s more ridiculous? 50% magic damage from quick cast skill attrib. We don’t need to create a Wizard to know just how OP it is. It just is. You can see it in parties, GvG, WBs. Basically wizards are almost always on top. You’re too stupid enough to accept the fact that it is.

Yea i am stupid… I feel darn stupid especially when trying explain to you guys. Zzz why did i type so long to explain to your bullshet questions… in short you just a no skiller and tried to solo every shet in game. Typical “I can solo everything” player but failed to do so and complain here. Please IMC hire these guys to be a GM so they can gain invincible.

If a wiz go full CON and equip Aias, he would block most physical attacks, and I’m sure 100% wiz build can do that. Not to mention stone skin exist as well.

Even after the recent patch, top 50 PvP leaderboard in kTOS have 4 swordmen and 4 archers, and over 20 wiz and clerics. Granted that this is better than before (2 swordmen and 2 archers), it’s still nowhere near balanced.

If your evasion is high enough, you will be able to dodge them by chance.

No, not in the same sense as physical, sure you can walk away from an AoE spell, but so can you with almost every physical attack in the game. We’re talking about Evasion effecting the change someone misses an attack on you.

No crits, sure. But most base damage is a lot higher too.

This is literally what i meant - whole point of that thread with undisputed arguments. Comparison of clearly balanced damage types.

I’ve never been able to get “Dodge” on magic spells and I have 615 evasion.

Add the other stuff too at least, because you’re leaving out stuff that makes it seem much more balanced then it really is.

This is literally all the defensive stuff you can get for each.
Magic - Magic Defense
Physical - Physical Defense, Critical Resistance, Evasion, Block.

no , make magic dodgable is a really bad move .
wizard and cleric are really op right now but when ktos patch come , everything will change .
in pvp only : - a lot of cc got duration neft and reduce damage , even sleep , pole of agony got reduce 50% damage , meteor is fine as it has a long cool down + cast time , if you still complain , you should go and see musketeer 's snipe.

  • iron skin got neft from 4 x spr block to 0,5 x spr
  • pain barrier got 20% more cc resist , and dash now gain about 50% cc resis ( 50~70% , i dont really remember )
    also , remember that they still havent even finishing the balancing yet

Evasion works on that, so can be dodged.

Also, why do people keep coming back to PvP? I said this counts for PvE as well multiple times, meaning monsters who cast magic.

I wrote how should damage types work. There is “should” in thread name, so i thought it was obvious that im writing about how should it work. Get it?

but wizard cant dodge that :v ,
a lot of the post in the thread complain about wiz full con being op in pvp , so…
about PVE , i think they make it so you have to go 2~3 stats at once , or full dex build will be too op , and maybe they can add magic nullify chance to spr ?

check the previous Korea top 100 ranking every still the same, only 2 more archer and 2 more sword man on the list

that mean even those recetly patch from krToS are not enough against the OP of magic classes

Some changes, yes, but not everything.

Right now top PvP leaderboard in kTOS is 20-22 wizards, 20-22 clerics, 4 archers and 4 swordmen.

The main reason for that is every wiz build full CON with Aias + stone skin from priest = GG physical damage

as i mentioned , they are still balancing the classes , not finished , there maybe even more change in coming :cold_sweat:

the problem is how long, many people have quit already because this game bad at both pvp and pve
also many bot, exploit …

there is a patch every week , and mostly pvp change , i dont think pve is that bad and we dont even have battle league yet :hushed: , no games are perfect from the start anyway :smile:

i think ToS is even too far behind from the start, maybe if it release at 2018 it will be an big hit. But now it’s unacceptable

pve is very boring with me
boss is not a challenge also, just have few move set
mobs only hard by it’s stat, not because it’s AI. This game AI is kinda stupid, not even equal old games just like lineage 2 or WoW

pvp is at an unacceptable imbalance.

so it’s only the art style and music left
but THIS IS A GAME damnit …

I’ve said the same thing before. Just because the game has magic, it shouldn’t mean you’re forced to build into somethings. That ruins the freedom building your character the way you want.
