Hi, does anyone know if SR skills damage only scale with sub weapon (pistol) damage aka Secondary physical attack?

Yes, but it also benefits from the secondary stats of your pain weapon such as crit attack, etc.
So Xbow+Mana-Mana generally wins, solely and only because of the mana-mana.

Iām lv200~ right now.
Using a khasti bow since its cheap to get.
I also have a catacomb shooter since the plan itself is also cheap.
Running the lv200 dungeon each day hoping for the manamana.

Save silvers and get that mana-mana, it is the current off-hand BIS for Archers.
so meaning to say,xbow+manamana is the goal to be of an archer weaponwiseā¦so is it better to go xbow/sub as soon as u reach lv 170 instead of getting a 2h bow?ofc its better to have 2 sets of weapon,just looking for others opinion.
as soon as you reach lvl75, Xbow + Arde dagger is better than any 2Hand-bow vs non-flying, and switch Arde to Mana-mana at 170. IMO, getting Karacha dagger is useless when you are not Rogue2 class. so your silvers and get that mana-mana,
(you can get the recipe even not by dungeon by farming Miths, Battle Bracelet, Petamion, hunt HOneymeli and sell them or buying by your hard earned silvers, the dungeon that drops is at 200+)

Does the effect of maga bow works on bosses? Or XL and L are entirely different modifiers?
afaik, bosses are tagged as XL and does not receive that bonus damage. but I really havenāt done test in-game, as I never touched Maga bow.

well trident does 3 hits on large as well as XL.

I wonder why kTOS guys prefer it on SR, maybe mainly because of +226 crit attack which directly applies to crit during retreat shot

Iām currently an A1R3F3 lvl 227.
Owning a +12 Maga Bow, +5 Cata Shooter, and an Arde Dagger.
From what I read above and based on my noob testing method (just using skill randomly) I realize that my +5 Cata Shooter + Arde deal around the same damage as my +12 Maga Bow on mobs (not bosses). So I assume if my Cata Shooter is also +12 and I have a Mana-Mana, Iām pretty sure it will out damage my Maga Bow.
As for fighting Flying Bosses (ex: Harpiea) I do realize a very very good damage from my Maga Bow. Yes, itās obvious.
My question is, if iām fighting a non flying boss, which will do more damage? Since Maga Bow have that large type extra damage, I do try the damage of my MA tick on Mineloader also in DG130. The result i got is Maga Bow wins by 300-500 per tick compare to Cata Shooter + Arde. But I assume this can be different if I had equal enhancement level of Cata Shooter + Mana-mana instead of Arde.
Can you guys test/explain to me (if itās already tested).
Iām not really good at reading spreadsheet so yeah, I do prefer text explanation.

Get +10 or more Didel Grand Shooter/Superior Kracker Crossbow vs non-flying mobs and you can keep your +12 Maga Bow vs flying mobs.
*If you still have silvers to burn, go for it.
