As much as I despise IMC atm you should come back for a month or so just to play through the rank 8 content. I’m not knocking the idreamy build though, I took it to lv cap and played it religiously for a solid 4 months, it just doesn’t handle as well now, not b/c a lack of dps though, it still has the best burst of any scout build, it just lacks survivability is all, unless you respecd it to dex or hybrid.
I mean, that’s why I am giving the benefit of doubt because I’ve yet to experience the new content which is the main reason why I’m trying to solve this survivability issue by giving suggestions including DEX investment while not rendering Sneak Hit useless.
I personally would recommend people to lv a 2nd scout3 anyways, regardless of the combo, idreamy, falc/merg or musk2. Ontop of the playing experience of something new you double or triple your daily income.
The 326 falc/mergen I am currently playing on Klaipeda is less then 1 month old and already in 102nd place on the server in the adventure journal and very well geared/attributed. When you already have an established farmer its surprisingly quick/easy to power level a new project.
Tried questing earlier and I saw there’s Lv250+ quests now. Magic mobs still guaranteed to hit and hits like a truck … immediately closed the game. IMC needs to fix the mob balancing. I’m also hearing things like how some Wizards do 1 damage to some mobs due to extremely high mdef.
I prolly still need to wait more.
lol, tc can’t even do solo questing past 230 on his own, wonder how he got such a following
Here’s the funny bit about our current content. If you were at least 270 before quitting, map exploration will put you well above 290 just from the vibora cards. That’s the point you go back to the earlier content because you outlv the content and those that used to hit like a truck would then hit more like an SUV or something.
Please give me a screenshot or quote where I said I can’t do solo questing? Don’t use your crab mentality here. I just said that magic mobs are still guaranteed to hit and hits like a truck, I never said I cannot do quests. If it wasn’t obvious enough, you are replying on a Scout thread and Scouts can easily get out of danger via Cloak. Talk about spoonfeeding.
If you don’t have enough brain capacity to know why I have numerous followers, well it’s because I have the brain capacity to think of an outstanding build.
Dreamy senpai your back sort of…not really. I has a question for you, from the beginning I wanted to roll this scout build into hackapell. But I was questioning whether the unmounting for feint+barrage / capture was too much of a setback , also losing out on arrow rain as a capture target for solo runs . Barrage is still super useful but to have to keep unmounting just to use feint is a nightmare.
On the other hand just using barrage to spread arrows for Skarphuggning seems really good. Can you give any advice for a scout3 build going hacka?
@Dream @jchsc32 @greyhiem
My personal opinion I wouldn’t, for me the 3 clear cut choices for scout 3s are;
archer3-scout3-falc1-mergen1
archer3-scout3-musket2
archer2-ranger1-scout3-rogue1-mergen1
now there is an 4th option popular among the Koreans, they go archer3-scout3-and then go SR the rest of the way for their farm builds but I have no experience with that build, I have lvd SR before but it was the cookie cutter a2-rng3 variant
every piece of info or feedback we have gotten so far on hacka has been negative, I’m not typically one to just go off of what others say but when its that overwhelming its hard to ignore
I see well I appreciate that, thanks for the reply. I decided that I wanted to do hacka with my scout when rank 8 was first announced so I’m planning on doing it regardless. So if you had any knowledge of how this build would work with a hacka I would appreciate it. I’m not concerned if it’s not as good as mergen for right now.
My next question is that I’m rank 6 with a stat and skill reset available to me, since I’m going hacka regardless should I pick another class at rank 6 to complement my build path? (PLEASE DO NIT MISUNDERSTAND I know that without rank 8 in consideration rogue is the best choice for R7) Mostly because I would have to unmounting for basically every rogue skill (feint/backstage/capture) and I could take something else like falconer or whatever in its place since I’m mounted. I’m aware falconer is mediocre but it’s the first thing that popped in my head. With hacka damage and a higher Dex roll on stats I could compensate for some of the benefits of rogue. Thanks ks in advance @jchsc32 @Dream @greyhiem
Sorry I cant speak on it, my #1 pet peeve on these forums are all the people who give advice on something they have not leveled, simply looking at tosbase and reading skill descriptions does entitle you to tell other players what to do.
Tbh I don’t know a single player that chose Hackapell, I respect your choice to go a different route, its just going to be hard to find build advice b/c literally barely anyone chose that class at rank 8.
As a A2>R2>F3>Hacka, don’t do it just pick Mergen as your R8. Atm Hacka is bad, at most w/ max arrow stacked, it’s skills is only +70%. And you can’t mob w/ their skills too since Archers have only 1 AAR at default and few swords give AAR stats.
The only good thing for Hacka is their mobility and the extra stats from pets. But if you are really fixated w/ your Sc3 going Hacka and you’re picking between Rogue or Falconer as your R7, I’d say pick Falconer since it’s skills work better mounted compare to Rogue and cause Circling will solve your AAR problems.
For me the only class that works w/ Hackapell is Fletcher3 and it’s not even that great compare to Fletcher3>Mergen.
We all know that the main theme of my build was about being versatile, it can AOE, it can single target dps, it can do bossing, easy questing, etc. meaning, anything you add as it’s Rank 8 is just a cherry on top.
I’d say adding Hackapell is not so bad if you think about farming really fast with areas that requires you alot of travelling big distance gaps. Like how SR worked with Scout C3, main reason is because the mount makes you travel faster, Hackapell on the otherhand with be alot faster than SR since the mount can dash. You mentioned you’re having problems on mounting again, you can actually set an easier shortcut for that by changing it’s hotkey.
There are alot of CONs I see though if you choose Hackapell. Higher level content gets more and more demanding on AOEs, Hackapell isn’t the best when it comes to AOE. When it comes to bossing, you lose the Arrow Sprinkle + Capture combo. Also, even if against single target, Mergen’s skills seems better as filler on boss due to it’s true multi-hit nature.
Fair enough I’ll take this into consideration thanks. I just really like the fact that I have barrage and split arrow to spread arrows around small groups of mobs while I’m mobile. Makes farming a hell of a lot easier with dash and the mount.
a 10star nualle card give +10% mdef.
10 nualle card=+100% mdef.
but STR rogue is destined to use werewolf cards…

I am pretty sure its a flat increase and not percentage. Unless the card description is wrong, which wouldnt surprise me…
So, a 10 Star nualle gives you 10 mdef not 10%…
i just got back from reading boss card effect thread and i think the latest info about nualle is 10%mdef. CMIIW
its actually 10% that’s why the prices of nuale cards skyrocketed to 2-3million a few wks back when ppl found this out, they have come down now though, can get them for close to 1mil each
(that being said this is an scout thread, scouts do not waste card slots on mdef+ lol, we typically use a combination of sp return cards and ellangaos or other options to increase our dps and overall farming efficieny)
if i want high survivability soloist archer i would make a high dex build (EVA) with max plate mastery virtov set (HP pool and PDEF) combine with full nuale cards (MDEF) and max transcendenced +15weapon(DPS)… #heavydaydreaming
