@Dream Coming back or not is all up to you, which you obviously know. If the game gave you a good time, then why not try it again for a bit? It doesn’t have to be now, or later, or ever. Just whenever you feel like it. Taking breaks or leaves from games isn’t bad at all.
The magic and the hype are gone, I haven’t played for over 2 months now, and every time I try to come back, the game is just boring, it feels like it has nothing to offer. I have almost 1k TPs which is 10 tokens, my FF & Dreamy’s scout have enough xp cards to hit R8 but why bother if the game is dull and buggy?
You can continue it to an R8 class you think fits your playstyle best. Honestly, the core of the build was already explained, any new update or upgrade to the build are just cherry on top.
Well the thing is, for the first 2 months of ToS, I was already trying to be patient. I continued playing even though I feel like dropping the game already, I thought I’d give IMC a chance like what I do on other games as well.
I’m not the type to make pauses on my progress on games I play especially if I’m serious on the game. So it’s really just be patient or quit. I chose to quit because IMC just keeps disappointing me over and over. I’m not gonna mention everything but the part where I patched the game recently, logged in just to find out that team storage is now walled by premium was like a big slap by IMC “again”. I’m saying is that IMC keeps doing these things over and over instead of actually fixing their goddamn game.

[/quote]The game pace is indeed still uber slow. They need to make the skills feel like there are actual combos, make it fluid etc. like I mentioned on my feedback thread. Anyways, I have too many things to say but I’ll stop there.
Just to make it clear to everyone, no, I decided not to come back. I forgot to mention it few days ago.
For health reasons, do not get in just right now unless you want to get to 330 fast. Then i would say, get to 330 and give it a bit more of time for bugs to vanish a bit.
edit
Sorry didnt read the post above.
i’d recommend waiting until rank 10 before thinking about coming back, to avoid making mistakes with class choices and hopefully more bugs fixed.
Then again the VGA crashing has gone on over a week and IMC still not bothered to do a urgent maintenance on it…
iDreamy scout build solo dungeon 290:
weird…331DEX rogue1, will be overcritchance when using sneakhit
I can’t fully compare it to the Dragoon or Falcon-Mergen builds I watched when it comes to mob clearing because I’m lazy to rewatch but one thing is for sure, that build still just shreds bosses especially compared to Dragoon, Dragoon is a joke on boss.
I also would like to comment on squeezing in Falconer instead of Rogue on this build. That one is also a joke, main reason is because you can just invest on getting AOE ratio and still perform almost like you have Falconer. The only good thing about Falconer is not needing AOE ratio gears.
dang @ that dodge rate, other than the big wolf, he didn’t get hit once by any physical attacks, and the thing from the big wolf just seems like an aoe knockback that hit him and people keep saying on this board dodge rate caps at 80%
Archer’s AOE ratio gears AFAIK:
-vubbe fighter glove +2
-manamana +1
-3 Head costume each +1
is there any other?
The future patch to come wil change the stats on head gear so it will be possible to get +4 AAR in each, making a total of 12.
i tried using +3aoe with multishot, indeed it hits more than 1 enemy, but the area isn’t as wide as circling+multishoot (maybe 1.5x multishoot crosshair) and if more than 5 enemies get hit by multishoot lv 10, not all of them get equally 10 hits. The hit seems randomly divided.
AAR will not change, only ADR
Oh this is bad D:
20202002
There’s also 2x Glad Bands.
Even with all that, it will never perform as well as circling that’s for sure.
To be fair Dreamy left the game several months ago so they aren’t familiar with the nuclear holocaust that is circling+homing arrow at rank 8. Simply stacking aoe attack ratio + gear is utter garbage unless you wanna hit a few more trash mobs with multi shot, which again, at rank 8 you never use b/c homing arrow and circling will 1 shot as many mobs as you can fit into the circled area.
In rank 7 this build was fantastic, I was 1 of the earliest people after Dreamy to take it to 280 but the game has completely changed. Full STR builds are no longer viable, the game has shifted to DEX and any archer build that requires you to get into melee range on an regular basis is typically a bad idea.
At this point I really only play my archer3-scout3-falc1-mergen1, its lv 326 and with the exception of the 3 megaboss fights and the double centaur fight I solod literally every rank 8 quest and map, including all 5 levels of Tevhrin caves.
I tried to keep the information in this thread relevant after Dreamy left for new scouts but the thread was over-run with theory crafters that jus continued to spam flat out wrong information. Its nice to see Dreamy back occasionally interacting with the readers but again, this game is nothing like it was 4 months ago, what was great in rank 7 has little bearing on rank 8 maps where mobs will regularly hit a player for 10-25k.
heres what I’m playing atm, 315 bow with 4/4 manahas set - a3-sc3-falc-mergen
Dam son, how much does your split arrow hit for?
Yeah, I agree that’s the best build atm…
The iDreamy build is still good just not as good as this… A3 is just better overall because 5% evasion gain with high dex you are looking at over 100 more evasion than a level 10 swift step.
Thanks for sharing all those info. But anyways, seeing that video posted by @greyhiem, I wouldn’t say that my build is not very good anymore because first of all, the run wasn’t slow, it is slower than what I saw from Dragoon and Falcon+Mergen build but not significantly slower. The build also still shreds through bosses which you definitely cannot do anymore without a Ranger and Rogue included on the build. Also, I saw that the Falconer+Mergen and Dragoon had troubles dealing with the boss on the Lv290 instance.
This Falconer+Mergen build was an option to keep being relevant to mob clearing. The problem though is that there is no more way for you to keep up with let’s say a Fletcher C3 in-terms of single-target DPS thus making Falconer+Mergen one of the worst build for bossing.
The original theme of the build is about versatility. Even if it came to the point that this build wouldn’t be as fast as the other “mob” focused builds when it comes to clearing trash mobs. The bossing potential of the build is still there.
Regarding the DEX vs STR. I still want to know how the korean players are taking 1 damage from trash mobs. If that’s really impossible to do on the international server then I would definitely agree that there should be some DEX investment to reach a certain amount of evasion making it easier to tackle higher level content.
The build isn’t garbage ofc not but that video the player respecd to DEX rendering sneak attack completely irrelevant. At that point you are basically using a circle just for capture which is great for the burst on double arrow sprinkle and flare shot but with an 3 minute cooldown its very very unpractical, you basically have to hold it for bosses. The build still works it just went from #1 on my scout list to prolly about #3 behind falc/merg and musket2 options.
For an average of 24 mins run, capture combo can be used at least 6-7 times for the whole run giving you occasional bursts and save the 8th for boss, there’s no need to hold it from the start until the boss.
Investing more on DEX doesn’t mean Sneak Hit will become completely irrelevant. Obviously, it’s meaningless to cap your critical rate due to diminishing returns, meaning it’s unoptimal. The higher your crit rate gets, the lesser and lesser dps boost it gives. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m not implying that Sneak Hit giving you capped crit rate is useless, Sneak Hit requires no investment, that’s all.
If you think about my original idea of having at least 50% crit rate by investing on crit gears or gems, you can just swap out those into anything that adds more damage so you can rely more on DEX to give you crit boost and evasion boost. Hitting at least 50% crit rate with DEX investment is still totally fine and would not make Sneak Hit irrelevant.
