Thank you so much. You gave us the light of Hope in this big dark world.

you have only but scratched the surface of the ice

Thanks for the reply. This game is amazing and we will continue to support you!

So Tru. This man is the hardest working man I’ve noticed in the gaming industry and hard work pays off. Continue to support

I read this whole post over through and through. What amazes me is the fact you still stick to your guns on everything you’ve done that is problematic to people while fixing absolutely nothing. Biggest example is selling TP through DLC packs instead of the ability to just straight up buy it off your website in intervals of 10-100-1000-ect. like other games. I’ve seen the smallest of companies like KRU do it and this one can’t?

Trying to convince me you do not reject communication after ignoring beta testers ontop of the CM leaving or being fired is flat out lies and denies. I have yet to ever see a single GM in game at any point through my months of playing this game do anything. There’s posts of people saying their tickets have never been answered on things like your regional locking for the DLC packs resulting in a complete failure because they are dictated by server played. You’re not fooling anyone coming out and making a statement like this although I do appreciate it.

Actions speak louder than words and this company has put out almost 0 new content that you said would be different from kTOS in the last response since iCBT2. Instead you’ve made these packs and everything that people put blind faith into thinking is going to fix lag or anything. You’re prolly getting DDoS because people are mad if that’s even true, but I almost feel personally it’s a cover up for your bad coding.

I’ll take some time to bring up the history of what happened when Aegis got leaked and found out half the problem was on your end and not Gravity’s servers so much. At this point we are almost heading down the same road with the game’s community going to private servers because of your actions and not some mystery DDoS person or RMT. If you don’t stop being bull headed on all your bad coding and changes people don’t like it’s only going to continue getting worse.

P.S - Nobody is going to like your 8 hour limit on world boss box opening from kTOS, so I hope you’ve got a better solution.

So true.

I spent more than $100 on the game, full of hope and nostalgia… and because I trusted Staff_Julie to be our advocate.

But whatever they say IMC don’t care, they just want to rape our wallets.

I’m so sad and disappointed :sob:

Please get your PR to give us updates on the state of the game the same way they drafted this, they seem to be able to articulate well. Stop hiding the shortfalls we all already know and be more transparent.

Thanks for the reply, it gives us hope.

Here’s what wrong with the trade system.
You give free players one trade slot on auction house and you give free megaphone to them as well- these are the exact things the gold sellers needs.

What I suggest doing is :

  • Free players (Player without a token) can’t put items on auction house
  • Free players do not have access to megaphone / yell
  • Free players can’t trade gold in 1:1
  • Free players can trade items 1:1 and purchase items on auction house.
Then you’d have to make sure there are no items worth thousands of golds that can be easily farmed.
That’s how it works in another MMO I won’t name here, and it works well.

Great idea. Why don’t we also separate female and male players into their own servers because they are of different genders. Once they change genders IMC should allow them basic human rights.

I bet he’s filled with bad memories though when even the tiniest mention of “that certain old-school game” is being brought up. If I had known he actually looked around in the forums I’d have not mentioned that game out of respect.

But the fact remains the game we have now has even worse coding. Am I the only who doesn’t like going to town because it’s crowded? Because that’s not normal. In MMO’s people should be happy the place is crowded because you can meet new people, hang out, etc, but right now my mindset is “O deive I need to switch to a lesser channel or else my framerate’s gonna make the game crash” instead of “cool more people” Even people who want to do card battles in town probably can’t because the lesser channels have less people, even lesser who cared about the card games.

I really do appreciate you replying to this post. I think OP summed up the concerns that players have when looking at the future of this inspiring game.

It is difficult to take criticism, and I respect that you have looked past any harshness put towards the IMC team and have responded with a generally clear idea of what you are working on to improve performance, stability, anti-cheat, pricing, and bundles.

I will not be purchasing the DLC packs provided from the Steam Store as the pricing is a bit much, however, I will continue to enjoy the immersive and beautiful world and wait for the opportunity to buy that oh-so-precious token on more fair terms.

For now though, keep up the hard work and talk with the community. A well informed player-base is happier, involved, and will have more patience. As countless of politicians and CEO’s have said before, “Communication is key.”

Hello, I’m much like the opening poster. I’ve put well over 1000 hours into the game and was also there in testing and often help other members with build advice and such from my testing. I actually have been waiting for ToS for many, many years, as I played Ragnarok Online for over seven years and heard about Project R way back then.

I too have had to overcome many issues such as those that were mentioned in the opening poster’s post. In addition to this, I have had unique personal issues regarding TP theft, but regardless, I have decided not to quit. For me, personally, there is no other game quite like ToS, and there probably won’t be one like it for a long, long time, and I’m already pretty old for playing these type of games as much as I do. I don’t know if I will even be able to play MMOs like I am able to now if such a game would come out in the future. So, it would take a lot for me to actually quit this game.

With that said, I desperately want the game to improve, but not just improve, I want it to succeed, so that it can last a long, long time. I legitimately worry that the game won’t last. I can only imagine how much money was lost due to not having TP available at F2P launch. And the whole server transfer thing? I hope that didn’t hurt your profits too much either. I want fair prices and a healthy cash shop as opposed to one filled with excessive gambling products, but, I also want the game to be able to financially stay active for a long time. So, it isn’t just stressful issues for me as a player, but issues of worry for the game’s longevity.

Hearing you reply here, it gives me hope for the game. I still have a lot stressful things to deal with, but I still enjoy your game very much and choose to play it over any other. I would highly advise you to seek out a community staff member (if not yourself) who is good at conveying information and addressing a large community and having them be open about what’s going on so that people aren’t left to assume worse things. Communication and transparency are needed for this type of niche community. This reply here, it is a great start, and I hope your company remains transparent.

In addition to this, I highly recommend you bring back public polls when it comes to big choices that you may not be sure about. Be sure that all options are ones that you can accomplish, but just having community involvement will make everyone feel at ease. This is because, even if an option many people wanted wasn’t picked the most, at least they know that you gave everyone a chance to be involved and that you are listening. These simple notions can go a really long way and help people deal with problems in game on a mental level. People often let the worst dominate their mind when left to the unknown.

Again, thank you for your reply, and just as you do, I hope for the very best for Tree of Savior.

Clearly you’re wrong because the man comes out and says it’s because of DDoS and not his coding right? Communication is one thing, but coming out and not being honest to do some damage control is another thing. And that’s all they have ever done every single beta and still doing it now which absolutely makes me sad because it’s like speaking to a wall.

Wanna fight RMT? dont allow them to sell silver for 1% of the price you sell:
They announce 2000k silver for 5€ thats more than enough to buy tokens for life, while you sell your cheapest pack for 30€ and cant even get 1 token.
People arent interested in spending 30€ in that, people are willing to buy virtual goods between 2.5 and 10€ every 2weeks/1month not to spend 30€.
Take example on LoL, ppl usually keep buying rp for 4euros every week, instead of buying 12euros every month

Ty for replying to the community. Can you please comment on the region lock? Many people are playing outside of their regional server and want to be able to buy TP for the server they do play on (like Europeans playing on klaipeda, etc). Will it be possible?

Respect to the author of the post, he pretty much summed up a lot of the major issues in a well thought out post. Thank you IMC for responding to the issues he raised, at least now we have some rough idea about what’s going on from your side.

lol, you people are so easy to convince it’s unreal

Agree. I don’t know why but it look like IMC don’t care about BOT problem. Maybe this is Free to Bot not Free to Play game lol.
I still play for fun but I will not pay more to this game. I really regret buying that DLC.

How about optimizing the game, so that this “social experience” can have more than 10 people on screen at more than 10 frames per second? And how about adding some checks to the game’s client, so that hackers can’t do whatever the hell they want with this game?
