Feedback about the game : More than disapointing

Try playing on a party, i do play with 4 more friends and it really change things. You even level faster and enjoy the experience together.

But boss fight are still lame. meh.

You are the Man, you are absolutly right in everything, i mean you destroy this game, because it needs to be detroyed. Ragnarok was way way better than this game, and that is just sad. All this new attempts of mmorpg cant see that lineal is so boring, so absurd, this is not an rpg if everybody have to do the same ■■■■, you dont need a central history, because an mmorpg is the particular story of each player(take this tip and do it right IMC). And now we have this error to launch the game and you know what, the game is so bad that i dont even care, gg bp IMC really.

My God, I cant agree enough. This linearity is limiting the game, its got so much potencial and so many classes to be explored but the game simply discourages you to try new characters, firstly because you need to go through EVERY SINGLE TINY LITTLE QUEST, in the same order, same maps, same monsters… Damn I feel tired already.

Won’t even mention class balance, Im a STR Cleric that went for Dievdirby but had to change to Paladin because the class was unplayable and I simply had no damage, its frustrating really.

So IMC need to notice how much of a jewel they have on their hands and how they deal with it as a ball of mud instead of a diamond, dont just throw it around, you should polish it, work on it and improve it, make it original and get rid of so many pre-made ideas (WoW quest system) that limit this game so hard.

I feel like this game could be something to remember, but it all depends on whether you will rise from the ground and look above the clouds, or spend the rest of your days looking at things fearing change.

Hope you guys can make this diamond shine IMC!

Do a favor to ToS and quit. Go play Ragnarok, the official iRo is alive, and there is a shitload of RO servers.

Let people who can view ToS as a unique and different game, enjoy the game. Do a favor to us and leave. Less lag, less instability, less spam on Global Chat. Be happy with Ragnarok, the game is still online and if you expect to play RO on a totally different game, so please, do a favor and go play RO instead.

kthx

Isn’t that the same as opening merchants stores?

I can’t see how that’s a bad thing, everyone has a chance to make money or buy cheap gear like this. And this happens every game.

If anything, this game’s money sinks and the gear potential mechanic should keep things in check, even more when you think this game is supposed to have 600 levels, so the community should always need different type of itens, instead of the same rare gear sailing through the game costing a lot, while more general meta gear keep getting cheaper and cheaper making it harder for new players to make money

Its different if it is 5-10 of the same item vs different varied items

Thats the thing, i Hate the money sink, just task that are forced upon you, or that have little to no impact until you spend insane amounts of money.

Also, the aregument “every game has it” shouldn’t really apply tbh. If you go by that logic, since most of the games are WoW Clones.

AH works great for materials, dont get me wrong, but when you go to gear, it gets messed up.

I’m a huge Zelda fan, and past Ocarina of Time, the games are linear, except with ALBW and they’ll try to change it with new Zelda U.

Ocarina of Time, a legendary game, played on a linear fashion. Still great to play on today standards. Still is the game with the most rewards and scores.

So don’t fell bad because people actually like linear games.

Also, stop bitching around, the game is pretty new. Nothing is blocking IMC to re-allocate high level maps as low level ones as a second or third place of the same level range.

It drives me insane to see people arguing about a game and doing a comparison with a more than a decade old game. Outside of graphics, ToS IS NOT a sucessor of Ragnarok, deal with it or quit.

Then you can go away please

Zelda supposed to be an mmorpg?

Anything that relates to the battle system (Jobs, Gears, etc) are incredibly awesome, way better than RO had. But everything else besides that are all linear, boring and generic.

The way questing is better than grinding just kills the game. I definitely agree that leveling needs diversity.

On RO, mage can fight argiopes easily even if they are level gapped. They just need to utilize firewall and proceed to spamming firebolt. Acolytes can go to glast heim or payon dungeon and spam their heals on the undead. Archers go about anywhere they can snipe mobs, be it pyramid or glast heim or payon dungeon etc. In short, classes has their strength and weaknesses, they go level to places where they can kill easily for levels – ignoring any level gaps. Meanwhile, as said by OP, IMC punishes you for leveling on mobs weaker than you or leveling on mobs way stronger than you and this really REALLY sucks.

One of the best fixes I can think of is making main quests shorter like WAY shorter. Also, don’t make them appear for every field. Maybe about 3-4 fields need to be travelled first before another main quest appear. Give main quests huge level gaps so players can do more exploring than doing boring quests.

Another is either buff up grinding exp from mobs or nerf the exp sub-quests can give. The way it is now is everyone doesn’t really give a sh*t or two about grinding at early levels because sub-quests can give faster exp. This is a big problem because doing quests are incredibly boring.

Dungeon instances LACKS mechanics. It doesn’t matter if Lv40 and Lv90 are early game dungeons. The way it is now is walk abit > lure > kill > repeat. How exciting.

Do a favor and quit. Thats easy and simple. If you don’t like something, what keeps you playing it anyway?

amen i thinkl the comparison with ragnarok is completly healthy and needed, i thin OP and Dream are completly right

As a RO player in more than 5 years, if what the host saying is what’s happening in the game, then this game is not worth to try. It’s worse than RO, not a 2nd generation of it.
So sad for 2 years waiting for this game…

Also, there is no reward doing dungeon but exp, exp and exp… no item, one of the most notable “virtues” that humanity have is the competitivity, maybe there is on leveling faster, but there’s people, like me, who is trying to enjoy every aspect of the game, from grinding, to questing, to crafting, even completing achievements, and doing a dungeon just for exp is not so gratifying
I read on a replay back on this topic that it could be some dungeons quest, and maybe, get gear as rewards for completing them. maybe…

Another problem of ToS will be the community: It’s split into the RO players and the linearloving standard mmorpg guys.
And I dont think that ToS can please both~

I dont understand this guy luizlink, this is a beta and this people are trying hard to help to be a better game and you just push them away and you do nothing for the game, i dont get you man.

That’s why I also said about this game’s “potential” mechanic.

And I meant that unfairness, perfect knowledge and inflaction happens in every game, there’s just no helping it. That’s why mechanics like money sinks exists.

It’s pleasing many, don’t assume your opinion is the same as everyone else. For the god sake it’s a closed beta. Nowhere near as the oficial launch.

And take out the nostalgic glasses, please. Myself played RO in the past, and there is NOTHING that special except the unique art style.

You log into the game and all the thing you have to do is to level up. There is no presentation neither a main story to follow. Sure there are many maps to choose, but most players would end in the same map and you were forced to go to another. Something that ToS can change by adding additional channels for those maps.

After you grind your ass of, what you do on RO? Go grind for your gears. Not much different from here.

OH my, most players in RO doesn’t know why they exist and why they’re grinding. ToS has a plot and you progress with the story at the same pace, until you reach 160.

ToS has its flaws but the game is still in early phases, nowhere near close to launch. The same way RO has many, many many flaws. Both games are different and doing comparisons is NOT healthy because they’re played extremely different.

It’s the same as suggesting stuff for League of Legends with comparisons with Dota 2. Riot will never attend to, because the games are NOT the same, neithwer will be. And when some copy the another, they may face a huge war about copyrights.

So, if you want to play RO, stop bitching and then, go play RO. Nothing is holding you here.

But you can help it, that’s my point. You can have money sinks but make them fun and “optional”, not tasks that feel annoying.
For example, why would i spend so much money upgrading gear that is gonna last until the next requierement tier. I would much rather spend my money on a sort of daily lottery, or a book of random recipie. Or upgrading gear that im gonna use for levels to come.
