yeah I use my falconer3 with max circling attribute and I can see how that affects the party when grinding timerys, works great with cryos tree and pass, almost every big pack 1 circling then swordsman or archer goes AOE can wipe it. Sad they prefer other classes since falconer 3 are very rare and they can’t see the true potential without the circling attribute invested. Linker is always a GOOD alternative to them
yeah i understand the strong preference of linkers over chronos due to them being available very early into the game.
i was thinking of archer3 for multishot15 but quite a number have advised me not to due to the impossibility of charging fully most of the time
I feel like linker is better for smaller pack of enemies, since most of them can only link 8 at a time.
Falconer 3 works great for 30+ mobs or boss, whereas linker is quite useless in those situations.
because when grinding in storage alemeth maven and evac before, 8 links would suffice or can just use cryo tree for CC, but in timerys where there are more than 10 mobs charging at you or even red mobs with continuous spawn, I think falc3 circling + aiming would shine super there. Linking 8 mobs would obliterate the whole 8 mobs faster than circling tho.
I think its just that people fail to try out new stuffs and would always stick to meta in terms of grinding and the lack of falc3 players around
Can the curious like me get a mini guide (if it isn’t a secret) to your A2-Sap2-Sct1-Fal3 ?
- Which skills are you taking or which skills are you avoiding (whichever is shorter for you to type out!)
- Any special gear to consider passing down / or farm from a main character?
- Any one point wonder skills or max out quickly skills?
- Frequent combo to clear AoE? (???, Broom Trap, ???, Profit.)
- Any particular card? (https://tos.neet.tv/items/644057)
- If you farmed the monster gem for one skill to over level it which skill would you choose?
I have played something with Archer2 and Falconer1 So a lot of my questions are about Sapper Scout and Falconer at rank 3 really
I forgot the name of the boss card you need. He’s from Saalus Royal mauso. He can make physical attacks stun enemies and since circling 3 hits are strike damage just saying. I am not sure if itos has it yet but I know ktos has it. Combos would be like, looking for a mob, lay down a claymore while invisible. Mob goes to claymore and u use punji on them, instant kill. Punji acts as a hidden debuff. If you can regather surviving mobs with new mob u can use a knock down skills to make punji damage go up again. Look up punji claymore hidden mechanic. You will see what I mean. Broom trap is very op for circling 3 as well as multishot. A c1 falconer can make multi shot hit all mobs. C3 falconer makes multi shot a must have for end game built. It cost 9m to enhance multi shot to max but only 400k to get to 50%. I have two gems, one for collar bomb and one for multishot. I got collarbomb because the higher the level the more hits. On my other sapper my collar bomb is lvl 11, so it does 11 hits x 1200 damage and if circling it can do 22 or 33 hits since it’s a fake multi hit skill. You also want to get kneeling shot even level 1 is fine. It takes 150% of your Dex and converts it to physical attack. So if you have 300 dex and 900 physical attack, your physical attack will jump to 1350. You can kneel just to increase the damage of skills like broomtrap and flare shot. It’s probably better to ask me specific questions because the built has to many mechanics lol
Is this the official Falconer thread? Well let me ask, I’ve followed the A2>QS3>Falc1 yet, going for 3.
I just want an auto attack strong character, I’m not sure if I’ll be strong enough to PvP but I would like to be competent in PvE (solo rush high level dungeons, saalus, ET and maybe WB?).
So since I’m going full auto attack, I have been investing until my current level each point in dex. I’ve got to say that I have 4 wizs and 2 cleric, so I main INT class, and have always ignored the str and critic equipment. So I would like to ask if I should still go full dex with some points in CON, and getting enough damage from equipment and gems to deal a really nice damage, and which equipment should it be. Or maybe leave dex now that is kinda high and start investing on STR while getting critical rate equipment? Once again, which equipment should it be.
All I know is that I should use DGC with Manamana, red gem in offhand and yellow ones in didel, and swapping to a bow fighting against flying mob, my current bow is gorithos tho lol.
Thanks in advance masters x)
I really don’t get qs3 going falcon3 just for the aiming range of longer auto attacks, the circling attribute transfers 1 auto attack to next ONE mob so if you ask me its not worth 3 circles of it. about ET? I’m not sure about qs3 getting a slot at ET since most would prefer any other archer with AOE rather than single SS
I don’t know how or why but looks like other classes gain lot of damage thanks to Falconer (aiming attribute maybe). Also as far as I know with a Falconer in your party you can even carry a fencer or other melee because - literally words from a fencer - Falconer giving us melee range gives us life.
if you want to have exactly 100% crit chance all by yourself at lv 330 you only need 628 crit rate before swift step. 2 sissels+max peta+red veris glove+manamana is equal to 144 crit rate. Once you get that 628 crit rate, you can pump STR.
One thing you need to consider about hybrid stat is if rank 9 is capped at lv 380, you need 722 crit rate before swift step to have 100% crit. from 330 to 380 is only 50 stat points, i dont know if this 50 points is enough bring your crit from 628 to 722.
all of above equation is against zero crit resist mob. if you want to have 100% crit against 130 crit resist mob, just add 130 crit rate from above equation
The sonic strike kind have a some coldown bettwen they hits? Ot work with every auto atack? I realy dónt see a falco 3 But î try to se if its bes than roge 3 haka
yeah they do when you lvl attribute, mostly for physical classes, while magic classes can benefit from aiming with the hit box. I was saying because you went qs3 and want slot for ET just because you went for falconer3, while sapper3, sap2 scout builds or any other aoe archer class contribute more from it followed by falconer3 in rank 6-8 than qs3. but if you have friends/guild playing then I think they’d accept you no matter what your class is.
@javier.mendez
the skill sonic strike and the auto sonic strike have different cooldown, you can sonic strike then bird can do auto sonic strike too every 4-5s . I haven’t tried using the preemptive skill yet since I have hovering leveled and it usually bugs the pet when it casts the skill
Sonic strike for pve. If you only level sonic strike pre emotive strike will constantly use it and it’s very good dps. It also has a chance to blind enemies so for the bird to auto sonic strike every 5 second it’s great
Hovering also has its value, preemvite strike supposedly has an attribute that allows it to deactivate either sonic strike, hovering or both… for some reason.
This amazing thing is locked away from our mitts until god knows when.
yeah sadly I learned sonic strike and hovering so I can’t use preemptive strike when grinding cause my falcon bugs out when it uses hovering, have you guys experience this?
ANDDD new patch notes is interesting, so that means the attribute isn’t being applied properly, no wonder I max the attribute and 75% still feels like sht
Falconer:
- Circling: The AOE Attribute was not correctly applying in proportion to the level of the attribute.
I just really wish they brought things faster over here, even if a contract or whatever is restraining them, leaving broken things for a month is a horrible horrible practice. also, let’s not forget that hawk has been broken for maybe over 3 months now.
I’m intrigued in how long it takes them to fix what was working properly once. and even then if they fix it I find annoying that we must wait half a year to get such fix.
Reading KToS patch notes is not health, such amazing promises and no trace of those are found over here.
What is pre emotive strike? I’m falconer C1 with Call Roost maximizing circling and hanging shot (using it with running shot from QS3, don’t think it has a good sinergy, running shot on ground can attack in every direction, looks like in the air is only in front, so I don’t know if i should max this one).
Thought that first strike was the skill which makes the hawk perma attacks with autos.
Preemtive strike is a falconer C3 skill that allows the hawk to use either sonic strike or hovering on its own, ignoring SP cost and CD. when it uses hovering it uses only one hit, instead of the full 10 seconds duration (19 with attribute), so it uses hovering until it hits anything, if it doesn’t hit anything your hawk will fly around for the intended duration of 10 (19) seconds.
On the other hand is sonic strike, this skill deals a single hit small AoE attack. Sonic strike on its own sucks when you hit falconer 2, its CD is 45 seconds for like 9k damage.
Now preemtive strike makes sonic strike in particular really good, why? well, sonic strike has that long CD you see, and with preemtive strike it uses it every 5 seconds instead.
Problems with premtive strike: first row buff with 5 minutes of duration and 5 minutes of CD. Being first row makes it imposibble to keep in a party that’s throwing all their buff, it also goes away once you switch ch or map leaving behind only the CD.
Also, don’t leave hanging shot at lvl 15, I mean, 30 seconds on the air without being able to use skills? is it really that worth it?
-Edit-
Forgot to add: preemtive strike uses either hovering or sonic strike at the players values, meaning if you’ve got hovering 15, preemtive strike will use hovering 15.
-Edit 2-
Preemtive strike will use both hovering and sonic strike (until the patch with the attribute that allows to turn off one of them) that’s it if you’ve got them both, otherwise it will only use the one skill you’ve learned.
That was pretty clear, Preemptive strike is first strike I suppose then.
Early on I did this distribution:
By your statements, Hawk will do sonic strike or hovering, so it will decide between one of them, wouldn’t be better to keep hovering at 0 then? That remaining point could go to circling I guess.
Didn’t understand thar part tho:
O haven’t seen you edit until now, then I guess that I shouldn’t level hovering until they add this function, but level 1 won’t deal much damage I guess. Which is the difference between hovering and sonic strike? Looks like the hawk is going to auto attack the same way when I hit an specific target o.o
You’ve got two rows of buff, the first one is where things like blessing and sacrament go, this is the row where preemtive strike belongs to. this make it possible to be overwritten.
Leaving you with : 5 minutes of cool down, isn’t it amazing?!
On the subject of hovering, yes you may leave it at 0, personally I still find value on it, it deals a nice amount of damage vs a single target. problem is that scenario barely exist in dungueons. At PvP it knocks people around so you can disrupt whatever they’re doing.
If the previous scenario doesn’t exist the only thing hovering does is : deal crappy damage and knock things around. so your choice whether leaving it at 0 or giving it some points.
-Edit-
Difference between hovering and sonic strike:
Hovering : your bird will circle an area for 10 (19 seconds with attribute) hitting anything within, what it hits is randomly selected and when it hits it knocks the target up in the air and back.
Sonic strike: your bird will attack the selected area with a small AoE attack that deals fake multihits, there’s no special effect, unless you get the attribute, confusion, which has 30% of blinding whatever was hit by sonic strike, and can trigger a secondary effect that decrease their physical defense by 75% and increases their physical attack by 10% at its max level.
