I’ve no clue where the server is hosted. But if they make it around West Coast then the majority of Europeans will have from 200 to 250ms latency. And that’s a fact. If it’s East Coast then it’s from 120 to 170ms. Also a fact. You call that horror stories? Yes, they’re horrifying but they’re the reality. I’ve played on iRO years ago and got fed up by their ~230ms latency + ping spikes of 300ms+ that are inevitable considering the distance.
Also, devs basing their decision on Steam sales? What kind of joke is this? 2 years ago the graph showed 40% sales from Western Europe alone. What kind of idiots only account for 1 year? If that’s even true. I’d like to see an official source for the data.
