SEA 16% without a server yet!? that’s some dedication right there! what more if there is really a server for SEA it could have been on par or better sales than with NA’s percentage…

I have a question. I bought the Access pack, but does it mean I have to play on an specific server? can I move to latinamerican server later?

Im SEA player and still in a dillema of getting the early access pack. The ping to server is the major decision maker for purchasing it. if IMC does have SEA and other regional servers, for sure players will purchase it without hesitation.

Actually it does. You need pretty good understanding of game mechanics to reach d5. Though you don’t need much skill (I’ve reached d4 and I’m low skill player), but it’s not the same as “casual”.

When they give you your own server and are then forced to go bankrupt and shut down the game because not enough people in your area are playing to justify the server so it is costing them too much money, then you’ll be happy?

You know, I’m really curious how people have these horror stories of 200+ ping coming from EU. It more sounds like shoddy internet rather than spacing. I would expect that to be coming from people more towards the Middle East and SEA/Oceania region rather than EU. By the sound of it, if it were to come out, I get the feeling people would still have unusually high ping to it and complain about the quality.
It’s not that IMC doesn’t see the interest. It is a worldly game, so they are paying attention internationally, but you do guys realize making a second server to appease ~25% of your EA buyers isn’t very much worth it? It’s a huge investment risk that honestly really dumb. It could be worth it in the long run, but if there’s no benefit FIRST to establish it, you might as well slash wages because “you’re still trying to pay it back”.
I really don’t understand this circle jerk. People rage about not having an EU server initially and will RQ…yet expecting the money to afford and simultaneously run a second server to pop out of thin air. If anything, that’s even more proof that it’s risky: There’s no reliability and not a strong enough foundation to actually do it right now. But prices and wages can heavily change when the game becomes F2P and released to all, which is why they’re waiting to see how it all plays out.

Physical impossibility (without relying on quantum teleportation). Time taken for light to travel to and from Virginia to Singapore = 15685000/299792458*2 = 0.10463905666 seconds (Straight path). This is excluding routing latency and server processing time. Realistic minimum latency would be 0.22 seconds.

I see a lot of people are using the cloudping.info test but http ping tests are not accurate. if you don’t know how to use cmd: Type cmd in windows search box, open cmd.exe type “ping 54.88.25.242” without the “” (Credit to ramoncosta11)
