Lol 200/300 ms is good for you? Wow such a useless answer just like you.
Many players EU are tired of waiting EU server, it’s a fact.
Lol play with 200 / 300ms … good luck
The thing is I agree with Phntm on this one because even I with barely any experience of networking only the core fundamentals even I can run a server on minecraft with mods and a pop cap of 120 players because the system for setting up a server is not too difficult and can be done with just making another pc as a server…
You do know minecraft uses somewhat the most basic of servers to run effective you could run it on a low end rig that costs no more then £200 or less.
But I wouldn’t say they are broke because most mmos are backed up by investors or publishers for exsample.
When a mmo project of such funding required is made they need to find a way to fund it from the beginning no one starts off with the capital required to start such a project. So how does one obtain said money but making people with money interested and to do that most mmo project holders hold a conference with likeminded people they show what the game will do and how it will gain the finance to pay for those investors and more.
Welcome to partnerships and last I recall nexon is IMC publisher for TOS sooooo two plus to lads if nexon is not happy there goes IMC funding.
That’s the hole point of investors its more like they don’t want to upset there investment spending more money on a project that has already spent a lot on but I cant back that up this is but a personal assumption here as I lack any figures or statistics to that kind of data but hey at least I am one to admit that and not make up random figures.
Welcome to the world of business…
Seiryuu you do relies most mmo start out with a lost when it comes to making a mmo there is an old saying to make a gain you must make a lost what julle said and this is my assumption the current funding they have is most likely in the yellow if not a very light green gaining money back from founder pack to add another server would be putting them in the red and it would start to bleed there income from a business point of view this is very bad.
You do relies my ping is 92ms min and 107ms max right? where did you get 200/300 from? you must still have cheepo internet baby I am on fiber optic.
So you’re suggesting they should rather hire another employee to do a job random people are doing for free? o.ô
Btw, you’re proving yourself in your own post wrong again.
Only doing as much as necessary is the number 1 rule for every company. So, where to place a serverfarm to get the majority of the users? USA eastcoast to conclude America and western Europe alike. Thats their main base of customers after all. After having them covered and enough cash to invest more, they will aim for whatever location promises the the most revenue next, based on the data they got in the next months.
The community ranted and actually got IMC to announce servertransferring as cheap compromise to create a win-win solution. And yet, the people are still ranting. Honestly, what are you expecting, giving the context that they don’t have the money for it right now?
This sounds… uhm…
Anyway, I seriously do wonder what this means in concrete terms now
Lol the fiber optic does not change, the cause is: player number and location servers. Some players have the fiber and does not improve the ping, baby.
Test the ping
http://cloudharmony.com/speedtest-for-aws:ec2-us-east-1
or in the game // ping.
92/107ms it’s not optimal
Europe get 25% of the sales despite no server anounced.
Lets not give Europe their server.
ITos style.
Hope it doesnt take long for all the fanboys from europe saying its playable to start feeling the ping.
Something tells me we will just get a mediocrid publisher for Europe, big lottery pay 2 win just like current EuroRo. (dat snail game)
Well I dunno, on my case, iCBT2 was completely playable and I’m european. is there any change on server locations from iCBT2? Not sarcasm, I’m now confused cause all the people complaining =O
Bet we would have enough german people to fill a whole EU server…then counting all the other countries spain france etc etc
Friends + their Guild members won’t be playing - all of them agree that a founders pack wont help them at all - lag issues been part of the discussion - and no refund granted after servers are open and you play and try the game = wasted money for them = too high risk
please dont come up with “but you can play the game on lags too” they dont want and thats it why play a game on lags if you can play it without?
tried it boyz but thats 50+ german people missing and i guess theyre not the only ones
ill take the risk tho and try out my 80€ packs
IMC shouldn be too shy and give it a shot - not based on “sell numbers” but based on all the voices who really want an EU server - those numbers are higher cause nobody wanna invest into a “maybe” - ppls choice and peoples voice cant argue that
I just have one question.
If we open the founder packages on the US server, when a regional server opens (and using transfer). Does every things in the account will be moved to that server ? (meaning current TP, token effects, and ongoing market transfer ?, …)
Just to be sure, because it was not clearly stated (transfer are sometimes limited)
Thanks, and continue with the good work !
They are talking about the option for regional servers. There was not a single word about a different publisher. Sure some guys say it’s playable with high ping, but I think at least half of them are NA players. As it was stated several times in this thread: A) 25% of the players would profit of an european server but we don’t even know the actual number of players (are there enough players to take away 25% of the playerbase to another server?), B) they want to make sure, that there are enough european players in the long term, C) they lack money after the developement of the game. We will see what happens.
@fallhiddenluck it is probably totally playable but it is far from optimal. You are probably from western europe, so you should also get one of the best pings in europe. Middle europe is another story and eastern europe will be even worse.
Nah no change, I didn’t notice any lags as well from Germany. People complain mostly because they expected to get their 50ms- server when they already have to pay for it.
Given the possibility to even take their whole team with all the stuff they bought already and all characters with them when a regional server opens, I wonder where’s the problem actually.
definitely not a typo, that is a straight up screen shot of the store page in client on my account.
Shhh, don’t ask.
Me wants art~
She promised it indriirectly at the coutndown section xD!
dear @Staff_Julie
Again, If money is an issue here. go start a project on kickstarter and write the reason how much money do you want for hosting a regional server and why (for reasonable amount, of course)
people who backed this project is the same people who will pay for your services in the future , I even wanted to spend at least 60$ for a confirmation about regional server I wanted to play
If the funding didn’t reach the goal, those people will accept result and moved on
don’t make this into “hostage situation” it’s bad for your company and community
Lol. Come on guys, lets all be real here.
I can play from NA to Japan, Korea, and Oceania at 150 ms and lower + with good packets.
Confirmed by playing on Japan/Oceania server for LoL and X-Legend regional games at japan, and playing on kToS on NA is just fine.
It’s not the servers, it’s just your internet if you play at 200 ms+
“150ms” Again a casual player talking about what an acceptable ping is…
Casual you say? Casual indeed. lmao All S6. Only reason why i said 150+ is because 120ms is standard for japan server
Ah, I used the wrong pic for that one if you notice ^, but its fine, not like it matters
LOL, Why they called it “Russian Territories”? What doest it mean? - Russia and other countries under Russia? )
