Details on the Founder's Server and Regional Servers

It’s an investment that will absolutely pay off. You should be doing the opposite. Open an EU server and if you think that it isn’t paying off after a month, transfer everyone’s characters to the NA server.

Not the other way around. This way that you are choosing now is the wrong way, in fact it’s the ONLY bad way and you’ve picked it. You should be catering to the huge amount of players you have in the EU, and like I said, if it doesn’t work out, then you simply say that you can’t maintain it. No one is going to hate you for at least giving it a shot. But outright saying that you won’t is going to cause a ridiculous amount of us to just jump ship and wait for something like No Man’s Sky.

Cash in whilst you can, and you can only do that by adding an EU server. We’ve been trying to tell you that for weeks now.

Welcome to iToS where spanish, french, german and russian - and all the other - people will be talking in their damn native language because some guys just can’t talk english at all. Deal with it and enjoy the european community!

If you want to get rid of this stuff in public chat, you will have to accept it. E.g. most german speaking mmo players I know, would never accept to be forced to talk english in chat and even refuse to play any game without a dedicated german server. :joy:

Cost wise it’s better to have few servers vs as many servers as possible; do not forget the fact that the current players will ONLY be EA players. Of course they will close it when the server is on. How likely is it that a certain quota is hit during the EA period? It’s better for a company wallet wise TO WAIT and see what crowd comes and plays the game after April 28. This month will also be an elimination round: How many of the EA players will actually stay playing, let’s say a large percentage of the EU players quit, not because of the server lag because people who really want to play it will play it regardless, but because of the game not being what they thought it would be. I can tell you for sure it won’t be you who is gonna be very willing to pay their server costs for them.

You guys complain without actually thinking it through and come up with the most simple and easiest solution according to you. Clearly none of you ever have run a company which pays employees as well who have families to take care of.

Spanish here, with spanish friends, we always talk on english. Ty.

That’s a really pathetic argumentation from you.

  1. America doesn’t have more people interested in video games. Get your facts right.

You can clearly see that NA (i’m ignoring LA because it doesen’t really matter) is only 200 Mio. whereas europe has the TRIPLE amount of gamers. And this doesn’t even include a lot of asian-based gamers that play on european servers because of the better latency.

  1. Your point about currency rates makes no sense, you’re just proving me right. Game is 50$ in NA, which is about 46€ and around 42 GBP.

Also it’s not just me complaining. Can you stop being a white knight defending IMC in a pathetic way and open your eyes. This forum is full of people that want eu servers. Also look in the steam comments to this news and the steam forum. Not talking about european fansites.

It looks like you don’t want TOS to be a successful game. I see no reason why you are defending this. There is a reason why nearly all MMO releases the last years had EU servers.

Wait what? might I ask where are the statistics where are the figures you sound like the type of guy who plays poker with three Ace’s and said this will pay off…

It might do it might not but without figures or facts you cant justify anything you guessing that is all your doing unlike you a business does not like guesses it wants a reasonable chance that there will be a pay-out.

You should stop telling IMC how to run its business and leave it to the people they employ at marketing demanding them to open a EU server when they stated there reason will do nothing.

The way that they are choosing is because they have reason to choose… its only bad because it does not agree with you really your upset I can accept that but you have to understand they have information that you and I don’t have access to and if they believed it was viable for them to open a EU server we would not even be talking on the forum about this if a company could do something and its within the factor it does not damage the company they would have done it.

Forcing people to come from one server when they are settled will upset other people might not upset you but it will upset others its called investment and being forcibly moves from one thing to the other will invalidate the investment learn to think of others not just your own viewpoint.

Lol even if the game was fine most of the people interested in No Man’s Sky will just jump ship regardless so that point is silly.

They just told you the reason scroll back to number 1 stop trying to deny what they said they have given you the reasons.

Such a disgrace for our kind!!

Well, yeah. We’re spoiled. Too much stuff is getting localized. There was a point I accepted thats not enough, so I got used to English. But yes, the majority is still spoiled. Thats why its not enough to “just place a server into Europe” and call it a day. You need German/French/etc support and a client ofc. And as you heard (and as I told you all for weeks already) IMC doesn’t have room for investments right now.

Fun fact, its just 29,99 GBP ~
Anyone got friends from the UK?

Do you feel offended? I’m also a native german speaker and I would never speak german in public chat on an international or european server, but there are a lot of players who don’t care or can’t speak english. It’s a fact and we have to deal with it.

You seriously expect imc to give German/French/Russian/etc support later ?
Especially when they don’t even want to relocalize a server to EU for 25% of their player base ?

personally if you are speaking German then the message was never intended for me why would I be upset and if somehow you was insulting me in German the insult looses validation due to I would not understand it, mmo community’s are so paranoid because they cant understand someone not talking English haha.

not sure if you wanted a pic of the prices, here you go if so:

in GBP “pounds”

Well with no EU servers I will not be spending a penny on this game.

I’m going to play for free too if I feel like it, I was ready to buy the biggest pack on the announcement of EU servers but that didn’t happen unfortunately.

well you just clearly prove my point calling someone a white knight just because you don’t like the fact I don’t agree with you shows you don’t really care what others think you only care if people agree with you… that’s so close-minded and sad… if you happened to up and quit the game I really would not care personally just means one less negative player ruining the experience for the rest of us.

I would love to see an european server with public channels for different languages. I haven’t seen it so far and it would be way better than the classic spanish, german, french, european server stuff. A localized client could also be done and I would love to see localizations done by the community.

@kaligoth5000 I’ve replied to fallhiddenluck as you can see in my post.

Im pretty sure they are aware that its a necessity. Thats also part of the reasons that we dont get a EU server right now. Wait some months, let IMC have their needed data and they will come to a conclusion.

Seriously. Would you please stop replying to my posts while giving yourself the answer already?

yeah sorry about that lol sometimes I forget to check to top right :stuck_out_tongue:

Not exactly *cough steamgiftfromuknotregionlocked *cough

I’ve heard they’re pretty much on it already. Back then in EuRo we kinda had the same, mixed community with different clients. Guess thats a solid model~

Btw. I get the feeling there are a lot of German speaking ppl around right now xD

A necessity ?
For their 25% of players who already bought EA and live in Europe ? I doubt it.

Sorry, it’s hard to not make fun of you when you’re so blinded.

Eh- What exactly are you up to? Did you kinda miss the point where Julie admitted IMC is kinda broke, not being able to fund another location for the time being? The 25% thing isn’t worth anything if its not enough to draw investors for new money.

IMC should be aware they need to properly support a european server, otherwise it will fail - means a big investment is needed, so it must be really really worth it. Giving the option to transfer people should draw enough europeans for now, giving IMC proper data and helping them deciding on probable european servers in the future.

Thats the present.
