Good idea - we are just players and we not are ideal gamers, we all do some mistakes and i think need some way for correct mistakes !
I think we need circle resets at some circumstances.
You can plan days beforhand with your build, plan everything perfectly and then go for that build.
Playing hundreds of hours, you get to endgame, farm you best equip and you have fun with a very good endgame build because you did good research and planned everything.
Then after half a year - PATCHDAY, new circles, nerfs and buffs to classes and skills and new max lvl. Now your planned build just sucks and you can’t rescue the build because you cant change 1 or 2 circles. You had fun so far but you can’t use the char anymore because it is absolutely uneffective compared to other builds in endgame now.
Well, live with it, just delete your char and start a new one?
Or better give a circle reset under such circumstances?
I know in the most “oldschool” mmorpgs you always had to reroll. But we aren’t oldschool anymore, we are in year 2016, there are thousands of rpgs on the market and the playerbase is also different than 15 year ago.
You really think an oldschool model of a mmorpg will be able to survive these days with just a small playerbase?
The casuals won’t play such games.
No casuals, no money because most players are casuals.
TL;DR: He is a p2w player, he don’t give a ■■■■ if he had to spend $200 for make a good build and humiliate others in pvp/pve.
No I disagree having Circle reset scroll as it wont be challenge at all, it will be easy mode afterall for builds…
are u telling me u spend 280 levels as a pyro - linker - sorc whatever stuff and suddenly u throwing snowballs and ice pillars around everyone and forgot how tu put a fireball on the ground? wtf is this u need to stop whining a bit. A paid circle reset scroll to use eveytime u feel like in a game like this is just retarded, if u wanna make a solid build just research and plan ur build carefuly.
BUT, as a situacional resource it MAY be needed, depending on how nerfs and later ranks go on ( cause some solid builds thinking of 280 level cap can become obsolete with increase of level cap to 600 for example).
Hopefully, they will plan better the class/rank implementations so we can see the whole picture before it suddenly happens, so we can plan accordingly. Cause if they release new ranks 1 by 1 its gonna take so long and man, that sucks.
i think need to this once at account
No, just no. If you can reset your class then the decision no longer carries any weight. We have stat resets. We will have skill resets.
I’d rather keep my class simulator out-of-game.
People need to Love this post (go heart the first post so IMC can see what’s happening).
TP needs to be removed and silver needs to be implemented for Circle, Skill and Stats reset. TP is another major issue that I personally that many people are having an issue with … TP should be used for COSMETICS ONLY (to make your character look cooler basically) NOT to be part of the actual game design …
Unless they’re planning to nerf to the ground some builds (like Blizzard does each patch for example), no, circle reset is not a good idea imo.
More of a reason to implement circle reset.
If people wants builds to “carry weight” why implement stat/skill resets? Either remove everything or add everything, to be in the middle is absurd.
No No NO NO. WE DON’T NEED CIRCLE RESETS, EVER. IT WILL RUIN THE GAME.
Yeah no circle reset, it would ruin the game! For you to even suggest a circle reset, I bet you have a girlfriend and a decent social life, such a noob! Why don’t you just commit to the game like a normal player. Just quit your day job, dump your girlfriend and live in your parents basement so you don’t have to worry about real life. It only takes 300 hours of none stop grinding and farming to reach level 280, everyone can do that!
In the end circle reset is only needed to min-max your builds each time a buff/nerf patch happens, isn’t it?
Personally, even if summoner is nerfed (even harder) and becomes mostly unusable, I would still continue playing it.
Why? Because I like the class. That’s all the reason for me to play a game.
Circle reset potion isn’t a bad idea for TP, it would be a win for IMC as it is something else they can sell if someone botches up their build or if something gets the nerf bat smashed against it’s face until it’s in a digital coma. People won’t want to play classes that are nerfed too hard so why not let them switch at that point. So it would therefore be a win for the players as well.
These two options aren’t the only times people would want to use these either. Someone might just want to try out a different class because the one they picked up might not be as fun as they first thought.
So it’s a potential win-win situation IMC.
Yeah, sure. Lets allow circle resets so that none of your choices matter or have any consequences. Don’t bother putting any thought into your build, doing any research or putting any effort in at all, you can just push a button and reset everything as many times as you want without doing any extra work. Down with responsibility! Down with consequences! Down with thinking more than 3 seconds into the future! Down with games that have any challenge! Down with fun!
Yes because a class getting nerfed to the point where it may no longer work as a viable build is very fun to be forced to play. Because it would be that or grinding for another couple hundred hours. So much fun right there.
You realize this would let people experiment with and try other things out to see if they work. You are in no way forced to use this yourself. There would be consequences to those choices. Not everyone has money to just throw at the game whenever they want. If you’re really that concerned about it then they could put a cool down on how often you could use them.
This is a Korean MMO. If you don’t have fun grinding for hundreds of hours you’re in the wrong game. That is 90% of the game.
Be that as it may, you have to think of the audience you are catering to. Most people do not want to deal with hardcore grindy games. That’s why many of those games from the past have now went away. Even the Souls series which went from a hardcore game has become more casual to cater to a wider audience. That’s what most would call a smart business practice. If you want to make money you have to cater to what people will want to keep them in the game.
Me personally if I make a mistake with my build… yeah it will suck but I’ll restart. I’ve already done it once, and I’ll probably have to do it again at some point. Not everyone else is willing to do that.
Then the question is whether the versions will be the same or different. Because if we’re talking about catering to the audience, what people in Korea like will be different than what people in the US like. So will they make two totally different versions of the game or will both get the same changes and one side will just have to suck it up and get over it? Because if it’s the second option, no matter what they do one side is going to be pissed off. And IMC is a very small company as far as gaming companies go, so I doubt they have the resources for the first option which would require them to hire a second team, one to work on US changes and one for KR changes. (Of course there are the other regions as well, but to simplify things I’m just focusing on those two)
That’s where research comes into play. They’ve already done a poll once to see what the player base wanted. It wouldn’t take much for them to do it again. As far as the options, I myself am not a programmer and don’t deal with such things. However, I have a feeling that they already have a second team or they handle the servers on different days. I’m not sure on all of that, but it wouldn’t seem like it would be that huge of an issue. I personally wouldn’t know though until I understood exactly how everything worked.
