What you said has no relevance to this. We aren’t asking to change class, the core class is locked to Wiz/Swordsman etc. Circles are essentially areas of skills within the same class. Also the VAST majority of successful MMO’s have a method of fully resetting
your skills for $. many of the most successful don’t even charge you
for doing it and have fluidly interchangeable builds. The point is you
can only be using one build at a time and allowing them to change
quickly builds a strong meta and promotes healthy balance.
Being able to change circles means that players who want to play as more unique builds won’t have to make any investment toward making them viable. All the work spent leveling would be done with a meta “best” EXP/grind/solo build so they can steam through to the cap and then reset to the snowflake they wanted.
I’m personally against this. I mean, I can understand the merits, don’t get me wrong. Of all people I definitely understand. Hell I’m stopping at R5 on my main specifically because we can’t reset and I want that character to serve certain purposes/roles, and the circle combos available simply aren’t there yet until we get more word on some of the hidden classes being added. But there are class combinations that can be very difficult to work with depending on your play style. Being able to change those circles means that you haven’t had to put in the time to earn that unique or difficult combination but have instead ground it out as a simpler circle set.
Please nooooo, able this resets just in times of new ranks (rank 8 , rank 9 …)
I understand your reason for not wanting people to be able to abuse this, but we can’t have it both ways. You’re saying the many people in the position of having a genuine mistake or problem with their build should be screwed because you want to be a special little snowflake? Remember there’s still likely going to be a pay wall to stop people from just resetting whenever they want. You could even have a restriction of X amounts of resets per account every Y amount of time.
Back in my day, games had no checkpoints. If you’re not smart enough to get your class build right with all the information available at you, you should be punished by making bad game choices. And learn from those mistakes. Class Reset would inherently mean no Supports for the entire game untill Max lvl content, which is by itself good enough of an argument to show how stupid the idea of Circle resetting is. Every single class would run a “Optimal PvE leveling build” and the purpose of ToS’ Class system would now be ruined.
Maybe the only exception being if they do complete class reworks in a huge update patch.
Not smart enough? Some of the skills have little or no information on their behavior available anywhere in-game or in external resources. Another ignorant person ignoring the fact that builds can be messed up with mistakes and thinking that your right to be a special little snowflake trumps that of people with a genuine problem to deal with.
Restrictions of one reset per account per year. Max of one reset EVER per character. No circle reset within X amount of time of a stat reset would prevent a lot of the pure support builds being efficiently swapped in place of a leveling build.
Also remember people will probably have to pay for this feature, very few people are going to be spamming that kind of thing even if they could. The small number of people intentionally running a leveling build to reset it later wouldn’t impact the community much at all. I’ve played some of the harder builds to level in beta, it ain’t that much harder, not at all really other than grouped mob kill speed and that is mostly an issue in dungeons where your team provides that anyway. This becomes especially potent once you already have a character in game to provide your alts with a full set of optimal gear for their level.
What I hope you can see I’m trying to get at is that “snowflake” builds aren’t actually that special at all in terms of leveling speed.
This isn’t “back in your day” where common sense hadn’t quite reached game development in a number of places. When it takes HUNDREDS of hours to create a character people are just going to up and leave if there isn’t a solution to fixing mistakes. Comparing the problem of potential power leveling (plus $) abuse with a genuine player who has just had a MASSIVE amount of time wasted is ridiculous and if you believe that’s a fair trade for the community to make you lack the logic skills to have a fair say in the discussion.
I agree we should be able to reset our circle if we don’t like the build we made. Maybe give us an untradable reset scroll/potion at level 100, seems reasonable to me.
What the hell?
You just opened the same thread twice. I’ll just copy/paste my reply here, too.
"Screwing up is fine.
The game encourages you to make alternative characters anyway with the team level system. Which I’m sure they will expand on in the future, to make it more appealing.
For now, it’s +1% xp gain per team level. My team level is only level 3, so I’m not sure if the bonus gets better later on, or if this is how it is for now.
If you could restart whatever you want, whenever you want. All you would need is 4 characters, each different class and you can literally try everything on those 4 characters. That’s not something I am willing to support.

Circle resets would still be limited to the one class, so that’s not an issue and also a character can obviously only be one set of circles at a time. No one in their right mind is going to circle reset for a short amount of time to support/create/sell/snowflake-mode then change back whenever they like and even if for some unknown reason some maniac dual wielding credit cards decided to do that then IMC can just cap the maximum number or frequency of resets. Problem solved.
i first wanted to have a circle reset but i think its ok to have none
after your very first char your second gonna be hella lot faster to level up - youll have silver to buy good equip - you know best grinding spots and maybe people to team up with - youre more experienced with what you really want to have etc
still the game wants you to bleed if you messed up or hate your current character - thats part of the game be happy its that way…unless you want imc to milk your pocket (didn read any reply on this topic but i bet somebody pulled the p2w card already)
in this case the f2p guys who are waiting patiently are having a slight advantage - they get feedback news etc of current itos classes and know wich are a failure or wich one they really wanna play i nthe open for all version -so no tearing apart from grinding the 6th char since they prob know exactly what theyre going to play
Inb4 awesome hidden class you won’t be able to get qwq
I like the current system of having you invested in the choices you make.
As a compromise, I would only support this in the condition of a major update akin to Rank 8 and/or new classes. And in this case, it should only be allowed, at minimum, for those already at Rank 7. The reset ticket should also expire after 1 week.
You really like saying snowflake. Whats wrong with having unique builds anyway?
Anyway, something like i already suggested would help with people making bad choices without being able to reset everything. At no cost.
How about a single circle reset? And can only be bought once per each level cap (basically once this Lv280 cap). I didn’t mess up my build but surely, most people think their builds went wrong just because of picking 1 wrong class to their overall build.
For example, single circle reset means you can only choose 1 specific rank to reset. I chose to reset Swordsman C2 at Rank 2 and made it Peltasta C1 instead. Like that.
This might actually be doable… Since you only get one when you hit cap. When they raise the cap you could get one more if you were already at cap.
Shouldnt be a problem. Back when Ragnarok didn’t have the neuralizer, they offered free resets whenever there was a major patch that affects build. Still prevented people from abusing early game builds then changing to late game but allowed people to reset when there are changes.
The cash shop isnt finished people complain when the official release isnt even here yet , there probably will be free reset after every major patch dont worry , and I think they should just make it cash shop the rest of the time with a lvl barrier so people wont get a class which lvl faster I guess lvl 200 would be a good cap for a reset until they push the limit, the major probleme is what would happen to a guild if a templar reset :o
Yes, i agree. Circle reset will be needed some point in the game, or maybe a player can start over in level one with extreme exp bonus until his current level depending on which rank or level he reset?
No circle reset pls, the best part is to endure hardship early game and but get an awesome class later on, don’t kill the fun with circle reset.
But for people who want to reroll, I guess bonus starting level, or exp boost after they reached certain level/rank on their main would be nice
Tutorial of how to be anoying:
- Post something on forum with “do this or that otherwise the game will not survive.”
- Get gud.
