What do you think about going C2 Swordman -> C2 Hoplite -> C2 Corsair, for a dual wielding build (Spear-Dagger)? I’d love to PvP, but I wont like a gimped build for PvE and levleling tho. Pretty torn about that.
How do you think it will compare with your Relentless Halberdier build? (which I really like, and if the corsair idea wont work, I think I’ll go with something like that one you made)
I’m new to the game and mostly confused, so I may be missing the important stuff out.

Why full CON in a Fencer PvP Build?
CON
Increases max HP by 85.
Increases HP recovery rate by 1.
Increases critical hit resistance by 1.
Increases weight limit by 5.
Increases shield block by 1.
How about damage and evasion?
Also, Rapier Mastery: Aggression
Increases your [Pierce] damage by 3% per attribute level when equipped with a [Rapier] as a main weapon, and are not equipped with a [Shield] as a sub-weapon.
I dont see a point of using a shield with a fencer build
What build of these do you think is better for max dps?
This is my build, I’m currently 1str = x2 dex atm (30str : 60dex). I’m maxing out leather, gungho and concentration for my attributes.

I have been playing with a Highlander (Swordsman > Highlander > Highlander) and to be honest, I tried Barbarian (in my first character) twice and did not like it. Seriously. And for some reason, I fell in love with the Highlander class, but I am afraid that it is some kind of noob trap. Is it? Because I do not want to make another character and choose something else. Also, I have no interest in PvP, only PvE.
Right now, I want either Corsair (C5 and C6) or Fencer. Can you please help me?
I would like to work on a build for Corsair, and other for Fencer. So I would be able to decide which one pleases me most.
Oh, is my DPS going to be really poor for not choosing Barbarian or just good (instead of great)?
(2 DEX:1 STR are my status, btw)

The reason I would recommend CON in PvP is sort of complex but I’ll explain. Its relative to the damage formula. STR scales badly unless you are critting. So therefore the best DPS build is a DEX-based build. So in PvP, people with DEX builds will overpower people with STR builds. Now DEX also gives Evasion, so in order to hit the people with high DEX, people will start investing in DEX themselves since it gives accuracy.
DEX > STR. But DEX > DEX, since Accuracy cancels with Evasion and so it counters itself.
Enter CON. CON builds are the counter to DEX builds. CON gives crit resist which means DEX builds wont crit very often if at all against you. Also, you will have 3-4x the HP of a DEX build. And you’ll have a very high block stat, which will also be increased by +25% since you’re wearing a shield. You’ll still deal decent damage if you use skills with a high base damage (which is why I recommend Barbarian).
I’m aware of that Rapier Mastery exists, its just that there’s not really many good options in C2 for a PvE Fencer. At the very least you can take advantage of the +18% Evasion buff from Guardian. You could go Highlander for Cartar Stroke or Swordsman C2. NONE of the options are really very good, something I just wrote about in a big essay down in the suggestions forum.

as for fencer skills im really torn on sept etoiles and esquive toucher, which of the two would be better? and should I just pick one of the 2?

The reason I say that is because Hoplites get +150 worth of crit rate on top of what DEX they have. They can afford to put some points into STR. I would say something closer to 1 STR 3 DEX.

I see no reason as to why that build wouldn’t work! But if you’re going into C2 Swordsman, You might want to think about Concentrate, as I’m 99% sure it procs off subweapon cancel (Make sure to max the attribute for it!). Also, swap out Pierce for Stabbing, its actually better.

Nice build, take out one bash for Gung Ho though. If you want to go PvE I would recommend no CON, mainly DEX with perhaps a bit of STR later. Also get 1 Guardian, that gives you a really nice defensive option if you want to tank stuff. And Spear Lunge is a very good skill, I would prioritise it over Pierce. Aside from that, very solid build!

Its hard to say at this point, but probably the Fencer? Either that or the 1st Corsair build. I can’t give you an educated answer to this, sorry.

Your build is very very good. I’d definitely keep pumping that concentration attribute. If anything the only thing I would recommend is pumping more DEX.

You most certainly may!
If I were you i’d just go ahead and play a Class you enjoy over one that’s better. Besides it’s extremely likely that Barbarian will get nerfed hard again considering how good they are (It’s not a noob trap). Anyway you could always get Highlander C3 then switch to Corsair. Be warned, your DPS will be lower than the Barbarians, but that’s true of all the Swordsman classes who don’t pick Barbarian. I wouldnt worry about it too much!

The build you linked didnt have a lot of SP invested, so I went ahead and made one for you!
Its the same basic premise, with Barb instead of Highlander C2 and C3 for extra damage.

Hey, so first of all, I’d definitely recommend Helm Chopper over Cleave. it hits twice and gives you a very strong strike move. I’d also Max Sept Etoiles and get at least 1 in Flanconnade. (you can redirect some points from lunge if you want). Full DEX is the way to go for Fencers!

In the end, A full tank build: Swordsman> Peltasta x3 > Squire (can be other thing, idk), and heavily invested in CON is basically no go?

thank you very much, and yeah later in the post I talk about having Level 1 Guardian for utility. Also you are right about maxing Gung Ho since I’m not going to be using Bash that often in late game but could explain me why would you choose Spear Lunge over Pierce please. The Spear Lunge debuff is constant and doesnt gets betters with skill the lvl and if I were to upgrade it I believe that the Damage Attribute is unlocked in Throwing Spear something I dont want to invest in. Finally Pierce can do 927 * 3 (or 4) at lv 15 against bosses while Lunge can do about 803 * 2 (Overheat) with little less cooldown than Pierce.
