BM Build Theorycrafting

how much often you can crit when face to face with boss thanks to werewolf? iirc someone said 15% crit chance or so. I haven’t test werewolf yet since I will be A3 QS3 Appraiser BM2 soon

Again, this depends on your style. Sneak hit, for me, to take crit when i cast mozambique, RIP and FMJ only. Monkey provides steady 30% more dmg of final output dmg, not just 30% of patk like glassmole so I like it alot. If your char has high atk speed then this effect triggers very often.

AI with growling is a non-issue. You can fix a bugged pet by feeding it and you can use the command /comeon to make it stop growling. you can set /comeon as a chat macro in the menu and then change the keybind to something easier than alt+shift+1. As for pets losing HP and being stunned, get a pet with 2 armor slots and put 2 aias shields on it. The pet will block pretty much all physical attacks - I’m almost certain that the aias’ 8% final block rate plays off the other 8% final block rate infinitely? I don’t recall ever seeing my pet get hit by physical attacks since I did it. Rocksodon is best with 2 armor slots because it eats the cheapest pet food - important for mending the AI if it breaks.

Possible builds could be archer1>qs3>hunter3>rogue1>bm1 (easy to activate sneak hit when everything is stuck in place by growling) or archer2>hunter3>falcon3>bm1 for growl+aiming+bloodyoverdrive combo. Though you’d miss out on bm’s sweet AA’s with the second build. Hunter is certainly a niche build for bm, but it makes for very safe/easy soloing in the new hunting grounds - albeit a little slower than pure dps focused builds.

Another method I use is riding. It’s a lot more expensive because it costs a rank (Sr1) but it gives you a hell of a lot of control. Riding protects the pet from damage while you are setting up the lure. Riding also means the pet growls where you want it (you control its movement) and when (no AI to speak of until you press the [growling] hotkey). I wish they gave a riding attribute to hunter.

In the end I still use alt+shift+1 with /comeon to stop [growling].

For me the build will be A2 - QS3 - Fal1 - App - BM2.

Full AoE BM focus on BOD, RIP and Napalm. I take Falcon circle 1 because Circling will help BM AoE skills reach their highest potential. Mozambique and DGS at 1 point because i feel i will only use AA and Mozambique as filters.

Skill build will be somehow like this https://tos.neet.tv/skill-planner#311333edii.4a2a65.1f2f5a75.1121354553.12234555.51386a7aa1

What should I start replacing my cafrisun gear with as QS3 BM? All these new pieces of equipment are a little intimidating as a returning player.

Manahas set is a straight up cafrisun upgrade with the extra line.

Those aren’t all that good now though, I’d say to just focus on good rolls (STR/DEX/crit rate/crit atk/patk and so on) orange 350 HG gear.

I highly suggest you spare Tase a single point for a total of 13*346% (4498%) single target and also max DGS since you’re going QS3 route. Napalm doesn’t even have such a good scaling to begin with, so those points won’t be missed that much.

Your build don’t have many fillers, so you’ll likely often end up waiting on cds, and I’m guessing that’s why you went QS3 in the first place (otherwise you could’ve picked sapper2-appraiser-falc2 for extra AoE potential for instance).

has anyone tried both QS3-RO1/2-BM2 and QS3-FALC3-BM1. which one do you prefer? I am having trouble deciding which build would be more useful all around because i dont have many alts to build. (side note: would going the falc3-mergen1 route be more beneficial than BM1?)

I tested them both. I think Qs3-Falc3-BM1 is stronger for PvE, with more sustained AoE damage while making the most of BM’s AA as filler + falcon’s autos. But in the end I found Qs3-Falc3-Mergen1 to be even better, so decided for that.

I reset my other archer alt to A2-Qs3-Ap-Ro1-BM2 instead just cause I really like the playstyle of BM, and it’s a very useful dg/saalus alt, even though it was slighlty less efficient (imo) to the falc3 variant, the BM2 plays more like a true BM while the falc3-BM1 is essentially a falc build with BM for filler skills and better AA.

How about ar2/qs3/sap2/bm2, is that good??

sapper dmg is based on your xbow so you have to make it strong. Indeed if I have to make my xbow strong then I will go fletcher BM instead of sapper. Sapper 2 only has broom trap and it is too stationary while many mobs are fly type. The idea of sticking to AA is to minimize the burden on gears so you only need to invest in your pistol

Ohh nice so you ended making your Falc toon a mergen huh, Im trying out a Falc-BM right now, tomorrow i will try it with mergen instead. Do you think after iToS gets the falconer rework it’ll be more of an advantage for BM than Mergen?

I just saw your video on yourube today. Nice one.

Btw flet/ BM, how does it work???

on ktest I went full STR, A2 sapper 2 fletcher 3 BM2. Max magic arrow as normal. Non-AA builds are not effective for BM imo.

I think especially after rework falc3-mergen gets more favored than falc3-BM1 in terms of general PvE. The BM1 variant seems stronger for bossing, but that’s not what most PvE content is about.

Both builds work really though if I’m being honest. It’s just slighlty min-maxing which leads me to say falc3-mergen>falc3-BM. Playing either won’t be dissatisfying at all if that’s the playstyle you preffer.

yesterday i had a chance to reset my BM2 to Fal3/BM1, i feel like it at first but after than I realize the dmg of OB drop from 90K + to 55k+. So, i used to clear the mob with in 1 click in dg300. but with Fal3/BM1 i had to use the skill 2 times…:tired_face::tired_face::tired_face:

I feel your pain buddy

Prison Cutter should work with (most) “Skill Bleeding”. I tested it with both Crosscut and Headshot in the past. Those Bleedings are apparently better than the normal one cause later Bosses are immune to basic bleeding (e.g. from Rajapearl).

The Big issue is however that there are like 10 different Bleeding Debuffs. Some of them market as “wound”, others with the description “Bleeding”.
EDIT: I’m trying to find someone who can help me testing it later.

Archer 2 -> Hunter 3 -> Scout -> Falconer -> BM 2

My companion is geared with block rate weapons and armor, and they appear to have infinite aggro. So I cloak myself and let my companion aggro aggresives mobs for me.

My pistol is still garbage though :tired:

On side note, BM looks smooth as f* with Hunter costume:
