There’s no way to report gold seller spam in shout chat and I decided to do something about it.
But once in a while you find those in-town sellers and can slap a report on them. Haha.

previously i was ban for suspicious bot activity, anyone here can tell me how one get ban? unable to play for basically one whole day (night and morning) until now.

I never botted before which kinda make me sad and i only started playing last week thursday ><

overall i applaud for this action but please please do proper investigation, if all it takes to ban by people reporting like 5 people or 10 people, it CAN be abuse.

True, especially if 1 or 2 parties suddenly ganged-up on you just for the simple reason that they don’t like you in some way or in some petty fights. :sweat:

If your case is true, then the people who reported should have some kind of “penalty” for abusing the system and using it for personal reasons rather than what its intended for.

Me too. I’m still banned for suspicious bot activity. Started playing last week. Never botted once and never will. Maybe i was also a victim of people abusing the report button. Please fix this. Innocent people trying to play the game properly suffer from not playing for days ( and maybe weeks ).

Dear IMC staff, we really appreciate what you’re doing, banning the reported bots and transparently listing the banned accounts. That’s a relief to us, players, to know that you share the concern that bots can ruin the game for good (as happened in other MMOs before).

On the other hand, two things are a major concern, specially considering that we’ll be soon switching to F2P:

  1. Why it’s so INCREDIBILY easy to create bot accounts? We’re witnessing a true invasion of bots in some maps, up to an extent that it’s barelly possible to accomplish the missions. Are you planning any mecanism to PREVENT bot use, like gameguard or anything similar, rather than just keep acting on the cases reported ?

  2. If we see such an invasion and accounts being created just for botting, even in a P2P system, how do you plan to mitigate the abuse of multiple/fake accounts when it starts F2P? Isn’t there a way to check if that account really belongs to a “real” person and prevent the abuse of “multiple /fake accounts” ?

I’m sure many other players share the same questions/concerns and we’d like to hear a response from you.

You WILL get reported (anyone who passes near you will consider you a bot) and you MIGHT get banned for those reports, i’ve seen ppl getting banned and released day after for that very behavior.

If you want to risk getting banned for being lazy go ahead. you shouldnt even be asking this -.- its an anoyance for every passing player you affect.

Why there are no validations for spam? I mean if someone spam same message through chat he should be silenced or smth and reported automatically, also there can be some validations for website links

Yo simplemente no comprendo como hay gente mierda, que en lugar de disfrutar del juego; pasar todas las aventuras (solo o acompañado), se ponen a crearse cuentas bots. Malditos jodedores, ojala que se pudran x3.

This is for EVERYONE

If you want to evade getting unfairly banned, make sure to always respond when someone talk to you and not kill stealing or going close to actual bots…

if someone click a bot and you were close it can click you by mistake and you get reported…

if the person ask you something and you never respond at all it will think you aren’t human…

If you start KS and never apologize, people will get mad at you and treat you like a bot…

Players have a hidden stat called “Report Influence Index” (RII) which increases or decreases depending on how accurate was the report. So, if a player reports a bot, this person will have his RII increased. On the other hand, If a person mistakenly, or maybe on purpose, report a legit player, the reporter get his RII decreased.

So, yeah… people can abuse it. But the system will also start ignoring those kind of abusers.

It’s a pretty decent report system don’t you think? :slight_smile:

The Botters are probably trying to get the report button removed by spamming regular players :frowning:
