Most of my chars have overleveled attributes because I do them all like this. Unless you specifically check via F3 you don’t even notice that they are higher the trainer still shows everything as normal.
Indeed, my archer has Level 6 in one Level 5 max attribute because I didnt even know about it when I leveled it up.
Whats going to happen? I certainly won’t be deleting the character, adjust it for me or leave it alone. There shouldn’t even be a possibility of overleveling through a bug like that because the limits should have been in place that there would never be more than x level of those attributes.
Pretty terrible mistake on the programmers’ part. I better not get a ban for this or I will charge back everything I’ve paid and move on to another game. Reason for charge back? Don’t be scamming me by throwing bans around for no reason, also EULA/whatever they’re called have no hold in a court of law.
There are no ban information on post.
Probably your attribute will be reseted to 0 or will get corrected.
I couldn’t hold back my curiousty and got lvl2 transpose attribute, despite the waste of silver and chance of ruining my character. if they ban me for my experiments, oh well, I probably won’t put money in IMC’s direction again.
I really hope IMC kept track of the people who did and did not report this. As anyone who has done any sort of bugtesting knows, reproduction is essential to reports, and the higher your reproduction rate is, the more valid your bug report is. As a result, at least some of the people who have a high number of attributes leveled up are people who were reproducing the bug. If those people get punished for this it’s going to be a pretty massive blunder on IMC’s part.
What about the “ludge stock” in Silute? Are you just going to ignore it? Some people have like 3 days with the problem. Not even a single word about it. This is a shame.
I have a Chaplain lvl 195 with nothing overleveled, Wugushi lvl 205 with nothing overleveled then I have a Wizard that I started the other day that probably has everything possible overleveled. Now this was not intentional and is only because I transferred all my TALT to that character and sold it the the vendor, ended up with about 200K silver.
I max leveled all possible non 1% (lvl 100 would cost way way more) immediately. I didn’t know the max levels of them and just clicked like 10 times and spammed yes. If I get punished I will be very upset.
You can bend the words all you want, an exploit is still an exploit.
IF a player only has one or two overleveled attributes that can be assumed as a mistake, but if you find a player who recently made a new char with most attributes overleveled, that is more than just a mistake.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it
I did a similar thing when making a paladin, but it’s a more older character i guess. got a bit giddy with the instant attribute patch, which has now resulted in me having lv 21 safety zone block attribute and a lv 2 buff limit increase ( i don’t know if it even works?)
In my own defense, i’ve been unaware of this; since i usually only check and read the values of my attributes at the job master because it’s the only time i actually think about attributes. but after further inspection; my skill window disagrees .
[IMG1] , [IMG2] I s’pose it’s not too bad if it was un-intentional and you weren’t attempting to somehow get quick cast attribute lv 20.
I feel as though I’ve broken the rules though, i think i can live with being sanctioned for this mistake.
Accidentally overleveling an attribute due to a very easy to accidentally do “exploit” is not ignorance.
With your logic if I bought an item at a store and arrived home and noticed that somehow there was another product stuck inside of the box of what I purchased that I should be charged with theft.
Ignorance would be knowing you can overlevel an attribute and doing it thinking it wasn’t against rules but knowing it wasn’t meant to be done and then claiming you “didn’t know it was illegal” doing it accidentally without knowledge is not ignorance.
So you would be completely fine with having your account permanently banned if they went that route? That’s insane and I can tell you now if they did that to me I would be forcing a charge back on all 5 of my DLC pack purchases and making my story public to most gaming outlets.
No, i’d feel pretty sad; even if it was a temporary one. But i’m pretty certain there are some people out there who have done worse than ourselves to try and gain an unfair advantage over others. So i am not too fearful in my current position. & I’m not the kind of person who forces charge backs on any games.
I hope so, with how vague and cryptic their posts are I wouldn’t really doubt it if IMC either didn’t change them at all for people that did it and just corrected future abuse or banned everyone that did it.
If you think about it, doing a redundancy check on all characters to check who had the issues and then going through and correcting it would be a lot of work and most MMO’s take the easy route out.
I can almost guarantee lots of issues when they roll out this fix, I certainly hope not but for any developer this would be a fairly tricky thing to fix on everyone without causing some sort of a conflict.
Don’t make me lose faith IMC!!
I lol’d
Now i wish they’ll ban you, for more butthurt.
Though i have overlvled 2 attributes by mistake too.
Yes you should, it’s your duty to report back to the store with the item and tell them of the mistake…
If the item is found at your home without evidence of payment you will be arrested for theft…
While I agree exploiting is wrong I can’t always agree that every bug is an exploit. It’s only when someone abuses a bug it becomes an exploit and sadly there can be many bugs in online games as well as offline games.
The problem is due to the amount of bugs which can happen during playing the game it can make it hard to tell which players are abusing the bug simply because while yes some people would abuse a bug however there are some people which may not even notice a bug happening.
IMC even has a slight error on on the description of the Founder’s Server: Exclusive Access 2 which it says you get a 60 Day Token and not 30 Day Token which mistakes happen all the time. Sometimes it’s best to simply fix the mistake and move on.
While I’m not against players from being punished I hope they will careful look at each case before punishing a player.
Actually if you knew anything about criminal law you don’t have to and it is the store that is liable. Same as if a store or person mails you a package that you didn’t pay for and it is addressed to you. You have no legal obligation to return it.
Anyhow I was talking about the act of purchasing it and being charged for theft not the lack of returning it, which again is legally not theft unless you were were aware of it being there before purchase.
Ya it sure is hilarious to take appropriate action if you are wrongfully punished for something.
