World PVP needs to be a thing

I’d love to think this is bait, but this guy really is just like this. Go through his post history. This is how he always acts. Almost all of his posts are just him insulting people for disagreeing with him or doing something he considers stupid.

Remember that many stereotypes exist for a reason; people like this do exist.

Despite the fact that I support you is a bad idea. I think a good solution would be to make limited PvP. In the game there is a class Templar, this class ■■■■ now but if game developers give him War flag skill it will be great.

Under the banner of the war, I mean the ability to attack any player in a certain area. Guild vs Guild bad war option, in many games is not giving any serious reason to PvP, it’s dead options nope created some activity.

But if developers give Templar “War Flag” skill, it created very very big PvP options for guilds and solo players.

But with it need serios rework world bosses and grind spots.

p.s. Sorry my english is (de)bad

I like how he selected one of his own posts as an “solution” for this thread.

there should be a stat penalty to balance out the level differences in pvp, i don’t understand why these korean developers always miss this and allow the higher level players bully the newbies…

I had a good few laughs at this thread, but that had to be the best one for me. He’s definitely going to get his posting rights revoked by IMC at some point, but until then let’s all enjoy the ride.

i was thinking the same, this op lol

gr8 b8 m8 i r8 it 8/8.

Have you heard about Bartle’s Taxonomy and its applications to the MMO environment?

If not, take a look at those videos. Adding PvP to the game will also affect players and potentially destroy the userbase that enjoys the game (mostly achievers, because leveling and gearing in a game like this IS an achievement). I’d also say that Full Support builds will also suffer, because those players also tend to score highly as Social gamers.

Also, it’s probably not going to be as satisfying for the PvPers because bots don’t respond. Yes, you will have an infinite number of players to PK, and they don’t put up a fight so you can feel super powerful, but that’s only going to appeal to one type of PvPer. For those who want their opponents to squeal and rage, killing and camping a bot is going to be a lot less satisfying than killing a player.

Honestly, stop thinking about ways to kill bots and start thinking of ways to get bots out of sight and away from KSing players.

This is a perfect example of a screwed up Maslow’s Hierarchy.

This is what happens when the upper portions of said Hierarchy are sourced from an MMO.

That’s not how it works. And it would never happend, and you know it.

The PVP community makes up less than 10% of the total population.

Horrible idea and I’m a PvP player.

Street Fighter V and world PvP have nothing in common. What’s your point?

It already is a thing.

It’s called GvG. Probably not what you had in mind, but it’s about as close to world PvP as we’ll get as far as consensual battles go. Join a guild, go to war, fight enemy guilds wherever you find them.

Just make a guild and start declaring war on as many guilds as you can. If they decline, turn into a troll and just bring everyone’s piss to a boil. You’ll get some people riled up and fired up then., and they’ll fight.

ur b8 is not gr8 m8, all the words and insults are so predictable and recycled they aren’t even remotely funny

are you finally done being a massive edgelord here, i think it’s high time to go back to shitposting on 4ch or infinity, wherever you came from

Open World PvP…

Well, whilst I do find the idea attractive because I am the type of player who likes to watch drama and such go out of control, turning the community into a more competitive bunch. This game simple isn’t the game for it.

I myself come from a gaming environment where Open-World PvP and even forced PvP (Like Dark Souls) is EMBEDDED in the infrastructure. It’s rewarding and satisfying in its own right, and it creates longevity in the sense that; no two days in the PvP will ever be EXACTLY the same, but the same goes for PvE (even though you may find yourself performing similar tasks, such as farming a certain area).

Open World PvP, in this case is simply not appropriate. Is it something that can be implemented? Yes indeed. If anything it takes the form of GvG, and even that is not a part of our version of the game yet. From what I understand, the game, even in Korea, is still young… GvG alone is something that will probably go through a lot of changes over the next couple years, all due to class balancing, spawn camping… All that good stuff.

But as for why I personally don’t think it’s appropriate? In my opinion, the game is based around a, what I would call a “Grind-Fest infrastructure”, built around rewarding players with bountiful loot, satisfying skills and costumes, that are not only vast in variety, but also sit on a decently sized scale of rarity.

And you know, it’s funny, because there are some weapons from a PvP standpoint that actually seem VERY attractive. If anything, I myself am melding my character for PvP, but arenas is as good as it’s ever gonna get, and at most they should add 1v1 Arenas, but only after balancing class skills for existing PvP.

And that’s my long ass opinion concluded

This was a really interesting watch. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve seen open world pvp ruin a lot of games…
Let’s not make TOS any worse, thanks~

Maybe if they did something similar to BNS where you wear a particular costume which allows for open world pvp to others wearing that outfit.

But just flat, open world pvp would ruin this game.
