Then the bots get programmed to start farming players as well. Considering the bots all have really good farm gear, they could probably take out anyone who isn’t built for PvP.

You’d have to be painfully inept to get farmed by bots; might as well just quit playing games entirely if that were to happen.

Yeah… Bots that are 20-30 levels higher then the zone they’re in with the best farming gear are totally not going to be able to mop someone who first walks into a map. Not to mention the bots at least some already use skills and they target anything that is targetable so…

I enjoyed world PvP a lot in every game I played that had it, it really spiced things up. Especially vanilla WoW on a PvP server. Even when it didn’t work out and I died, even with the occasional ganks and camps, it was fun and exciting.
That being said, WoW had area channels anyone could talk in and ask for help/group up, local defence chat, seperate factions so half the randoms were friendlies, easy access to guilds to find allies in, etc. ToS only has one world channel with limited access. This game was evidently not made with world PvP in mind. If it happens, it’ll have to be changed quite a bit.
A change I wouldn’t be opposed to, but it would be a very big undertaking. If world PvP was just thrown in as is, I very much doubt it would work out.
this is a pve/mobbing game. pvp is just a side bonus, far from the focus of the game.

Isn’t about carebearing. Is about people with problems that want to take 'em into a game and bully other people. Pvp is perfect, PK don’t , that system doesn’t work and i pked so many people in games where wasn’t that easy, where you could lose years of play worth in items, real money big time. And i did it because in Lineage 2 some thing forces you to put some people in their place, nor for fun, never was fun because i don’t find any fun in disturbing other people, bullying or anything that isn’t playing. YES is fun for some, some with serious problems.
Companies using this in their favor, farming this players money and time don’t make it any better.
Do you like PVP? then do it, the game already has pvp and some guilds can do a guild war. Go, just do it, nothing stops you.
It seems you totally not thought this through. The game as it is now, is not suitable for world pvp. Maybe certain area’s where this is allowed would be fine. As you are comparing this with wow (who doesn’t), the areas seem to be too small for world pvp and there is no where to hide from awesome badasses who just basecamp. And please don’t tell me my reason isn’t good enough, since yours doesn’t make any sense either

I really like this idea XD. Being able to gank in open world is so satisfying LOL. But if all maps were open world pvp that might be too much for some people. Maybe we can implement this to a few areas in the map.
