Alright so currently world bosses work as thus as it was explained to me
- World boss spawns, people start killing it. People that do the most damage get drops. People that didn’t but still do a metric ton of damage basically helped the other team win, which is the opposite of what it should be.
Here’s a bunch of solutions to make this less depressing for 90% of the server:

World boss spawns, people start killing it. Everyone participated gets a drop, 12-24 h cooldown debuff kicks in giving you exactly 0 cubes until it’s gone. (ideal option.)

World bosses no longer spawn. Quests / crafted items are needed to summon world boss and are instanced. (incentive to announce more, prepare better / not have 1/2 guilds camp everything to death.)

Anything other than “premades time bosses until eternity, no one else has a remote chance at drops” is FINE.
Check your “better reroll” attitude at the door. Opinions welcome.
EDIT 1: ABSOLUTELY ADD A CLEAR ■■■■■■■ INDICATOR WHAT CHANNEL THE BOSS IS IN VIA BUFF ICON OR SOME OTHER WAY. SEE : Griefing worldbosses via misleading the entire server
