Why Tree of Savior Needs An Advancement Reset Potion

Many choice? Many research!

Btw, the more I look for the “issue” of the video there, the more I find awesome stuff and character being invicible in PvP with, the charcter can even cast OOB and get hit unlimited time without breaking the cast.

So why would you put such a wtf potion when some people already get so powerful?

Both.

I actually don’t even follow which topic I write in that is about class reset…XD …but now I know.

Actually the problem here is more like that the skill descriptions are rly rly bad…and forget to mention a lot of stuff… I don’t even know if it is intended or not but it is not right imo. I think hidden effects between 2 different skills are cool and totally okay. But the descriptions of skills for themselves should be accurate because how should I make a build without knowing it?
Also the synergies of your own classes that you think will be awesome and work and it turns out it totally doesn’t work is horrible…

There was nothing like this in RO btw. Maybe in rare cases but it was much much less common for something to not work as you expected as here.

Because I don’t even mind if everybody can be powerful. I care about unique builds more…and with reset you could experiment without fear… now you either follow a guide or you have a high chance you mess it up.

Although I said hundreds of times before so I’m just repeating myself…but I don’t want a mindless reset where you just pick your new classes and then just distribute your points… that is awful. But I still think there are ways that shouldn’t rly hurt anybody but still would save us from the feeling that we are completly screwed when we make a mistake.

I guess I would be ok with a “last job restart” where you delete your last job an have to leveling the rank again and have the possibility to change the job choice, but only ONCE.

I mean, when you want to change it’s to take the other choice right? So what would it be possibile to change it again?

But if I would be ok with that it’s not because of the bad description but for a more friendly job upgrade design, it’s not cheated, juste nice.

However I continue to say that those kind of potions should be tradable like token, because, the more you can have through real money the more you risk to create a pay to win game.

For now real money guys can already get rich in game, so if they can reset stats, skills and then last job choice, there wouldn’t be any possibilities for F2P players to party / guild or just play with real money guys, too much “power difference”.

Each time a F2P player get the same “power level” as a real money guy, the real money guy would be twice powerful, until the end game.

When did he say that???

  1. Do you have any plans to develop a class or rank reset potion?

A. Creating a character in TOS involves making choices about stats, skills, attributes, classes, and many other things. It is possible to revert a character’s entire state to what it was like the day before, for example, but rolling back their class or skills while maintaining the level and stats intact is not an easy task. We will, however, consider making it possible to give up class advancement quests to allow picking a different class.

As you know, once you choose a class from the advancement screen, you are locked into it. Being able to drop the quest and retake a different one gives some time for reconsideration at least.

Its their way of saying no, while still giving complainers something.

I don’t really mind the class reset since there are still many factors or incoming patch/balances which may change the “meta” gameplay. At least there should be something sacrificed for the reset, class lvls and attribute lvls for a hefty tp price.

Some of these ppl expects the game to be fully matured to the point where no balancing are needed and would be ironic if they cry when unexpected class nerf being implemented. Look at how Ktos Psychokino’s Gravity Pole has been nerfed lately lol. Its a huge nerf but the skill was pretty broken to begin with. :smirk:

No, they might implement something which allows the character to abandon the class advancement quest if they accidentally chose the ‘wrong’ class and again accidentally “happened to click” on the confirmation button. Accidents do happen, sometimes twice in a row so can’t blame them.

That’s quit an accomplishment.

Pls yes.
Silly PvE players already got neutrality feature and now let them have this. Please.
I want to see how this game will die because gamedevs listening to noobs that wants to pay money.

Havent they mention in the QnA that they are working (or atleast) thinking of an advancement/reset class in the future? Just like RO knight>Lord knight, monk>champ thingy

What you MEANT to say is a reset would be totally fine FOR YOU if they did it YOUR way.

Super glad to see this stupid topic brought up again though.

’ Moooooom !(IMC) I was too lazy to spend 30 minutes looking up class info and now i’m not the strongest build in the game. Fix it or else I’m going to spend hours whining about it which could have been prevented with far less time spent planning ahead. I should definitely be the strongest character in the game by just randomly picking classes and skills!’

Nope…not at all… but that would be the perfect way for me for sure… I saw some solutions that would be fine. Like I rly would appreciate somekind of full reset too…but I don’t think that would be the best.

Also if you read my post you saw the quotes too…and you would know my answer meant it should be good for them too…not just for me…

You just highlight 1 bad example with it and it looks like you can’t even imagine there are reasons why ppl are afraid…

…also the research about classes and that you can find all the info is still bullshit…there are a lot of false info out there… also the skill descriptions are annoyingly inaccurate.

I still can’t get over it why they can’t mention that Fade and Revive are party buffs…

Also I still don’t understand why would it bother anyone if there would be a reset where you lose rank(s) and you have to rework it with your new choice(s)… You would have to work with it much more than those who actually don’t mess up anything so…

No, you saw solutions that would be fine FOR YOU. Again, you don’t seem to realize that other people have opinions different from your own. You do not speak for everyone. Just because you might like something, doesn’t mean everyone does. People are all over the place in this issue. There is no perfect reset that works for everyone or these threads wouldn’t be popping up all the time. Think about it for more than 10 seconds.
