Why TOS is now doomed outside USA/Europe

But you aren’t? Because you’re not paying in dollars. There’s a whole lot that goes into regional pricing rather than just dollar:whatevercurrency conversion. There’s a reason a LOT of games on Steam use it, including MMOs with their premium currency - it’s not about “fairness” - it’s about tapping into a playerbase’s pockets when they otherwise wouldn’t.

I hope people do remember that adding up SEA/LA/whatever other country out there that relied would make up for nearly half the playerbase, according to that Steam pizza chart they posted a while back.

Besides, the game is f2p in a few weeks. And as others have stated, this is only temporary.

Well, then i guess i’ll see you in a few weeks when people realize that this is not temporary.

BTW, Staff_JOHN’s reply on that thread that suggested it COULD be temporary (he was very careful with his words, he didn’t say this situation WOULD change, only that it could at some point in the future) was deleted.

I lost all faith in IMC after I saw that message was deleted. I hope people would stop being a white knight on this company, clearly all the stuff happening is just a way to check in all those bills to compensate the lost they get from BR community.

The fact that they will be having a 30% sale in a few days just legitimize my point. People not knowing of this issue will be lured to buy it because it is on “30% sale” even when the price has increases.

Beside, if they really increase the price to fight bots/prevent people abusing the regional price with VPN(I find this stupid as you’ve mentioned), they could just close the founder pack, but instead they do this. Why? Milk it while you can. Slimy IMC.

Fighting bots is a ridiculous excuse, honestly. We’re less than 2 weeks away from the game going f2p, they should be looking into what’s gonna happen THEN and minimize that instead of messing with pricings on packages with that excuse - specially since it’s yet another “feature” (trading, AH, etc) that will hurt players way more than it does bots.

ToS is doing pretty well in SEA as well. I think USA+EU+SEA should be more than enough to not give a damn about what happens to ToS anywhere else. Regional prices was adjusted because of BR abusers in a first place, so fk off.

It’s just easy for you guys to say this is bad, not good, you should do this you should do that…you guys have no idea how hard it can be for them…
They’re in the middle of between “what people want” and “what they want” for this game.

You guys should understand that they’re doing whatever they can to make the TOS game a better game. You guys are complaining about BOTS and RMTs, IMC Staffs are doing their best to find the best solution but when they find one, you will just say negative things about it without having any consideration on what they’re doing. How ironic!
Making a computer game is not easy as you think. It involves hard-working staffs, ITs, Codes, filtering, managing people, giving salaries to all employees, economics analysis of the game and of the company, etc.

Yes, this game involves business as well. Its not just a give-away-game that a billionaire made it for the people to play for free. If you can’t afford to buy the game, don’t buy…find a job for crying out loud!
It needs balance as well. Good thing, IMC Staffs are doing whatever to solve issues, and getting attention to our concerns.

We should thank them that they revive this kind of game in a long time.

People that will want TP will buy TP, no one is forcing you to buy them. There will always be people willing to spend money on things no matter the price, maybe not you but hey the worlds population isn’t that small a number.

Also not all Euro zone countries have the same standard/minimum wage but hey we all pay the same, suck it up. I’m sure you don’t get computer hardware cheaper than in other countries, right?

Well I don’t really care if it’s easy or hard for them to do things, that’s their work and I’m their customer, I’m doing my part providing feedback for them. I’m sure they’re more than interested in maxing out their profit, so I’m just providing valuable information on how to give what their customers (or at least a considerable portion of them) want.

No one wants to lose 30% of their community, or something around 15-20% revenue. If you run business you know that.

Really? It’s pretty hard for BR’s to buy it, as it costs more compared to our wages. Not only that, but the bots here are mostly working for gold sellers, not for normal players wanting some easy level. And guess what? They are mostly NA based.
One more [obvious] point, I could expect them using the Russian Store more than the Brazilian one, as Russians pays 1/4 of the original price.

What they’re saying about “Customers are always right” is a stupid saying. People who say that quote is arrogant and who doesn’t know the nature of business.
Two parties that agrees into something and made a deal that’s what business all about. The relationship between the Dealer and the Customer.
If they don’t agree to each other, it’s not business…its argument.

Ok you’ve done your part. However, does it mean you are a Customer, that doesn’t mean you have the right to say whatever you want. There should be respect.
Dealers and Customers have a needs to each other. A Customer doesn’t exist if there is no Dealer, and a Dealer doesn’t exist without a Customer. You don’t have to play like as a Customer, you are more important than the Dealer. Even Dealer doesn’t have to do that because they need each other Otherwise, it will only lead to an argument, not business.

Now all we can do as customers of this game is to do their jobs in resolving the issues.

Just a guess. If I were IMC, 15-20 percent lost revenue is better than 70-80 percent lost revenue. Anyone who runs a business would know that.

Quite a hilarious hypocrisy going on in your answer. Unlike you I didn’t even attempt to generalize anything or insult Brazilians as a nationality. Just stated facts that are directly related to ToS and to this topic in particular. It was clearly stated by IMC that one of the major reasons for these changes was abuse and exploits of the payment system. Bots were in game since day 1, but these changes happened immediately after Boleto abuse topics which indicates that it also made a contribution for such changes to be made.

So basically you accused me of racism and generalizing, while I never said anything like “all BR are trash”, then you proceeded to make some actual and quite a dumb looking racist comments yourself, with insulting unimaginative “generalizations” that don’t even have anything to do with ToS. I think you need to at least triple your intelligence before talking back to people whenever you feel insecure and your fragile self-esteem gets hurt.

All I was trying to point out is that BR players directly affected these changes and IMC couldn’t come up with any other emergency ways of countering this kind of abuse (if you got better ideas how to fight it perhaps you could suggest those instead of whining), so don’t make it sound like those players are victims here.

Also, don’t want to disappoint and make you feel even more insecure, but no I’m not an American, so you’re wrong yet again.
